The location of this property is excellent and the main reason we chose it. As described the property doesn't have a restaurant or a lift so if you have luggage you may need to request a ground floor room. The property is traditional with cute little courtyards and a terrace. They definitely like the "Friar" theme and go all in with lots of religious iconography everywhere!! We didn't have the need for much interaction with the staff but seemed pleasant.

This was a really wonderful and gorgeous little hotel within a stones throw from the plaza of Santa Domingo cathedral. It has a lovely roof-top terrace to enjoy cool evening breezes with views over the town. It is close to restaurants and other sites of interest. The hotel patron/host was really friendly and helpful and communicated well in English. I would highly recommend this hotel. Excellent value for money!

This boutique hotel is just a block away from the famous Santo Domingo Church and right at the corner of the famous Botanical Garden. The rooms are clean. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Hot water int he shower is good. The room has air conditioning system. They supply you with shampoo, body wash, conditioner, lotion and facial bar soap. They give you two complimentary bottled water everyday. They have a safe for your important belongings although the safe is movable and can easily be taken away. The wi-fi signal is also good. The area is quiet in the evening since it is not in a major street. Lots of restaurants in the area. Also, from Santo Domingo Church, you can easily go to the Cathedral and Zocalo where you can also find the tour bus parking if you want to explore the city. The staff are very welcoming. It's one of the best hotels in the area where price is reasonable but you will be satisfied with what they offer you. I will definitely choose this hotel again if I go back to Oaxaca.

The location is absolutely perfecto! A two minute walk to Santo Domingo and in a neighborhood with shops, cafes and restaurants close by. A very friendly staff provide excellent service. Our room on the second flor (no elevator) offered a private patio. This is a very nice hotel!

El hotel tiene excelente ubicación pero les falta mucho en servicio al cliente. El día que llegamos el baño no servía y no nos quisieron cambiar de habitación (aunque había disponibles) nos dijeron que esperáramos a que lo arreglaran al siguiente día. Un día no nos hicieron la limpieza de la habitación.
El hotel tiene excelente ubicación pero les falta mucho en servicio al cliente. Bed was clean and confortable. Great location but unfortunately the hotel needs a complete makeover. Plastic plants everywhere, tacky Christmas ornaments on the bathroom door, Furniture in the room needs to be repaired. Very very small bathroom. Staff attentive and tried hard to responde to complaints. Floor in the room dirty. Door frame falling apart and bathroom door could not close. The hot water takes a while to get even though the hotel runs out of water and they have to truck it in. Unfortunately, I don’t think I would return to the hotel.

La ubicación del hotel es excelente a una cuadra del templo de Santo Domingo. Los únicos 2 temas que le veo son: el wifi es muy malo y no hay señal de celular dentro de las habitaciones, y las habitaciones que dan a la calle tienen mucho ruido desde las 4 am en adelante, de ahí en más me parece una muy buena opción para hospedarse, ya que es es muy conveniente la ubicación para moverse a pie a la mayoría de puntos de interés del centro de Oaxaca.
La ubicación del hotel es excelente a una cuadra del templo de Santo Domingo. Los únicos 2 temas que le veo son: el wifi es muy malo y no hay señal de celular dentro de las habitaciones, y las habitaciones que dan a la calle tienen mucho ruido desde las 4 am en adelante, de ahí en más me parece una muy buena opción para hospedarse, ya que es es muy conveniente la ubicación para moverse a pie a la mayoría de puntos de interés del centro de Oaxaca.

The mail st important was helpful and friendly staff. Alejandro was always available and dropped anything he was doing to answer questions and give advice. Dave and I greatly appreciated their help with smile. The interior is unique and fits the old historic town. The hotel is located in the heart of Oaxaca City with many restaurants and places to relax. Thank you!

We had an excellent stay at Casa de los Frailes. The location is unbeatable, you’re a few minutes walking to all the main attractions in the center of Oaxaca. The hotel staff were very friendly and helped make arrangements for visits to Monte Alban and Mitla. Highly recommended!

Casa de los Frailes Hotel was outstanding! The location is great for accessing restaurants and attractions and quiet during the evenings. The hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff are awesome. We would certainly stay here again in the future.

La ubicación del hotel es excelente a una cuadra del templo de Santo Domingo. Los únicos 2 temas que le veo son: el wifi es muy malo y no hay señal de celular dentro de las habitaciones, y las habitaciones que dan a la calle tienen mucho ruido desde las 4 am en adelante, de ahí en más me parece una muy buena opción para hospedarse, ya que es es muy conveniente la ubicación para moverse a pie a la mayoría de puntos de interés del centro de Oaxaca.

This boutique hotel is just a block away from the famous Santo Domingo Church and right at the corner of the famous Botanical Garden. The rooms are clean. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Hot water int he shower is good. The room has air conditioning system. They supply you with shampoo, body wash, conditioner, lotion and facial bar soap. They give you two complimentary bottled water everyday. They have a safe for your important belongings although the safe is movable and can easily be taken away. The wi-fi signal is also good. The area is quiet in the evening since it is not in a major street. Lots of restaurants in the area. Also, from Santo Domingo Church, you can easily go to the Cathedral and Zocalo where you can also find the tour bus parking if you want to explore the city. The staff are very welcoming. It's one of the best hotels in the area where price is reasonable but you will be satisfied with what they offer you. I will definitely choose this hotel again if I go back to Oaxaca.

The location is absolutely perfecto! A two minute walk to Santo Domingo and in a neighborhood with shops, cafes and restaurants close by. A very friendly staff provide excellent service. Our room on the second flor (no elevator) offered a private patio. This is a very nice hotel!

The rooms were quaint but ours faced the street which meant loud street noises. There was no where to hang towels and bathroom was extremely small. Also you had to take a step down to get to the kitchen area and bathroom - at night if you forget - potential accident. The manager was attentive to our feedback (broken knob on bathroom door and no hot water in the morning and took care of these requests right away. Only coffee one morning available (but cafes abound on every street).

Muy bien situado;al llegar me asignan cuarto ruidoso pegado a la calle;me quejé y me cambiaron a otro mejor;pedi me despertaran para el checkout en madrugada y no lo hicieron;incluso no había nadie en recepción.Dejé la llave en el mostrador.Prometieron café de cortesía en la terraza temprano pero sólo había el de un día antes;frío.Los WC no funcionanbien.Tienen muy poca succión

Casa de los Frailes Hotel was outstanding! The location is great for accessing restaurants and attractions and quiet during the evenings. The hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff are awesome. We would certainly stay here again in the future.

The location of this property is excellent and the main reason we chose it. As described the property doesn't have a restaurant or a lift so if you have luggage you may need to request a ground floor room. The property is traditional with cute little courtyards and a terrace. They definitely like the "Friar" theme and go all in with lots of religious iconography everywhere!! We didn't have the need for much interaction with the staff but seemed pleasant.

The mail st important was helpful and friendly staff. Alejandro was always available and dropped anything he was doing to answer questions and give advice. Dave and I greatly appreciated their help with smile. The interior is unique and fits the old historic town. The hotel is located in the heart of Oaxaca City with many restaurants and places to relax. Thank you!

Love the character and feel of this hotel. Location was convenient and everything you need is near by. We had a front room facing the street. The room was nice but it was a bit noisy with people outside and carts being pushed on the cobblestones. Staff was exceptional.
