Second year in a row coming to this hotel. Us and our three children. Amazing hotel! The facilities, the super friendly and helpful sfaff! The location and the proximity to the village. The wonderful pools and the gorgeous beach. The variety of the food at the breakfast, the spa and the new option to have the massage on the beach as part of the spa. Love this place!

Was auch schade war, einer der tollen Rutschen war dauerhaft defekt. Ansonsten super nettes Personal. Gutes Frühstück. Auch die gesamte Anlage war toll angelegt. Les enfants ont adoré et veulent revenir l année prochaine Le personnel est au top et avec une gentillesse avec les enfants L hotel est assez moderne pour les commandes de serviettes ou autres via l appli Cependant pour le paiement des activités et des repas au restaurant au buffet ou au bar, il faudrait faire comme les bateaux de croisière via la carte de la chambre au lieu du papier.. car il peut y avoir des fraudes quand qqn met un numéro de chambre différent de leur chambre lors de la prise de la commande! Le buffet du petit déjeuner est assez varié. Le buffet du soir est souvent accompagné de un spectacle ou de la musique c est assez sympas! Cependant il faut un peu marcher pour aller manger à l extérieur et il n y a pas de livraison de repas comme graab food ou Uber eats dans cet hôtel Lorsqu’il pleut (et quand il pleut, c est l averse) faudras se contenter du room service directement accessible sur l appli de l hôtel et c est assez rapide entre la prise de commande et la livraison du repas Nous avons passé d excellents vacances et on reviendra sûrement l été prochain

Many areas for all to enjoy. Rooms very comfortable. Even asked to by mattress topper as it was so comfortable. Some areas need maintenance such as Aqua Zone with rust and sharp edges. Timber rotting around pool access rooms and plenty of ant's. Overall will def come back. Easy walk to shops, markets and restaurants. And cheaper than Patong region. 6 times to Thailand and Khao Lak has been the best. And Sands best resort so far

Lovely resort well thought out for children and adults. Separate pool for adults and breakfast also separate for the adults. Lots of very friendly staff. Lifeguards at all the children's pools safety was paramount. Washing facilities available for clothes however one machine out of 3 was out of order so often a queue to get washing done. Food very good although same offering every day. Buffet breakfast excellent.

Fantastic for children. The only thing was that I wish they would enforce the Sun bed policy if someone leaves for an hour they will remove the beach towels at times people were holding 4 or 5 Sun beds but were gone for the day

The property is beautiful. It has many pools, for children, for adults, for families. There are spas to relax. The resort is attached to the beach so if you don't want to swim you can walk to the beach or take a swim in the ocean. The breakfast is excellent, good variety. You can have drinks and lunch by the pools. They also have a kids adventure park. I would go back again. The staff are very friendly, always smiling and do their best to keep everyone happy. There are life guards at the pool as well as on the beach. It is an hour and a half from Phuket International airport but it is worth it because of the quietness and relaxing atmosphere.

We are a family of 4 (children aged 6 and 9) who have spent four nights at the sands. We were extremely satisfied with the cleaning, activities for the children and easy access to the local town. The pool area was really nice for mixed age groups. The beach was child-friendly and clean. It was easy to get sunbeds (4 pieces) even though we arrived at 10.30 am to the children's pool. The breakfast buffet was nice and the service was also satisfactory.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Khao Lak centre. Very convenient for exploring outside the hotel, with town on your doorstep. Staff very friendly, nothing too much trouble. Property has seen better days. There were bagworms hanging from the toilet roof, toilet fittings are mouldy and rusting. Rooms smelt like they had been air freshened with toilet deodorant. Bedroom furniture is also worn out and not kept in good condition. It could also have been the season when I was visiting, but there are flies everywhere at dining premises. The main restaurant we used for breakfast was not air conditioned, which probably exacerbated the flies issue. On the upside, the pools were very nice, it was about the part of the stay that we enjoyed the most. We checked out 2 days early and moved to another hotel. Definitely not the 4.5 stars that it's meant to be.

Fantastic hotel with a beautiful beach front restaurant with the most amazing views The room was spacious and very clean with shower and bath facilities Area outside hotel is full of good restaurants only a ten minute walk also if you are into diving you have the Dragon dive centre very close by . Overall was a good stay, however a bit of a swifty was pulled - we paid for a family pool suite, and clearly was the junior pool suite (difference of around $40 AUD per night) - but were told it was the right room just in a different area - but their room layouts on their own website disprove this. The room was probably preferable in the end (more private) but the fact we paid more, and they tried to do this secretly. Also happened to two other families we spoke to while there. Beds were rock hard and pillows too soft so we slept poorly (we left a feedback form after the first night, but was never picked up) The general manner of the staff was fine - FoH staff were not as friendly as you’d expect, but hospitality and room service were absolutely lovely. The facilities were good, great pools, and pool side rooms are a must to avoid noise all day long. BBQ buffet was sensational. I would give it a 7/10 overall, slightly generous seeing the room issue.

Shops within walking distance nearby was a plus to add some variety. Our room needed a refresher but otherwise direct access to the pool is great for the kids. The resort is large though and bicycles wouldve been a great facility, even the workers use them. Plenty of amenity and we enjoyed ourselves there

Det som verkligen utmärker sig på det här hotellet är servicen. Jag tror aldrig jag har varit med om bättre välkomnande och bemötande. Bra poolområde för barnen med vattenrutschbanor men det finns även pooler längre ner mot stranden där det är lite lugnare om man föredrar det. Bra restauranger och trevliga poolbarer. Superbra internet över hela hotellområde och väldigt bra tryck i duschen om man som vi värdesätter det. Rum på ca 55 kvadrat med stora sängar. Fint och väl luftkonditionerat gym. Frukosten har det mesta, det enda jag saknade va lite mer variation på frukten. Hotellet ligger precis i slutet av ”den stora gatan” med flertalet restauranger i närheten. Vi reste med två barn 3 och 4 år gamla och allt fungerade utmärkt. Finns även en barnklubb på hotellet där de älskade att gå in och leka. Vi har varit på the Sands tidigare och kommer definitivt att återvända! Bästa hotellet!

Our stay The Sands was wonderful. We had high expectations for our long awaited trip to Khao Lak and having already had a week of hectic sightseeing in busy Phuket, we were delighted to arrive to Khao Lak to a relaxing resort but with enough to keep the children entertained. We loved the local area which provided so many options for shopping and eating out. We had a swim up family room which had excellent facilities and was beautifully furnished. I have literally zero complaints!

Family pool access room great with kids however balcony was so short you could not recline the deck chairs while facing the pool, other pool access rooms facing kids areavlooked like they had larger balconies. Kids club was great for kids. Beach is nice, too rough to swim in during the low season. Little ahop onsite was handy and shoet walk to many restaurants, cheaper than eating at hotel. Life jackets provided for swimming if required. Kids slides good for kids under 5. Room with showers and toilets for late check out was great.

We absolutely loved our stay with all. Staff are so attentive and friendly couldn’t do enough to help us. We were lucky enough to be there for new years eve oh my goodness what a party!! Even though I ordered room service, I had to wait over two hours. I contacted them twice, but they were not very sincere in their responses. I felt sorry for the children because they were hungry. There are plenty of pools and play areas for children. It's a five-star hotel for kids and a three-star hotel for adults. Most of the staff were smiling and full of hospitality.

Almost everything about our stay was excellent. The pools were fantastic and a real highlight for the whole family. Breakfast was good and well worth the price. The staff at the Flying Market restaurant and in the kids club were exceptionally friendly and provided great service. The only downsides were the slow-running water and inconsistent shower temperature in our room, which unfortunately were not fixed despite informing the staff, and the lack of evening activities — the hotel feels completely dead at night with nothing to do.

Der falder en dejlig ro over én, når man ankommer til The Sands. Stort og lækkert resort, både til familier med børn og uden børn. Børne og voksen områder. Virkelig lækker morgenmad. Dejlige og meget hjælpsomme ansatte på stedet. Der er tænkt på alt, og her er udemærket wifi. Resortet ligger ca.5 min gang fra hovedetgaden i denne del af Khao lak. Hvor der kan shoppet, handles og spises god mad. Resortet ligger en 70 min kørsels fra Phuket airport, forvent lidt længere tid i myldretrafikken 😉 Jeg kommer gerne igen til The Sands

The Sands er en perfekt plass å feriere med familie og barn. Flere bassengområder, restauranter, treningsrom med bordtennis og biljard, butikk og supervennlige ansatte. Frokosten var av ypperste klasse. Sentralt plassert for flere utflukter, spisesteder, marked og andre aktiviteter. Det eneste som trakk litt ned for oss var at det ble flagget med rødt flagg på stranden, det var store bølger og jellyfish som gjorde det vanskelig å bade.

Khao Lak is about 75 km from Phuket Airport and is a very quiet area because it is a so-called suburb. The hotel's hospitality level is very high. The main restaurant, Italian restaurant, and various pools are very relaxing. If you go to the main street Phet Kasem Road, about a 5-minute walk away, there are many restaurants, souvenir shops, 7-Eleven, local supermarkets, and massage shops, which will satisfy most of your desires.

Lovely resort! I feel the resort is best suited to families with children under 7 - as everything shuts down so early. Lots of babies and young children and programs for the littles. The nightly performances and live shows were wonderful room was spacious clean and felt like a taste of home - loads of room to spread out kids stuff and still have space leftover Food was average but there were awesome restaurants when you walk down the beach The beach was spectacular! Warm sea water and clean!

Der Aufenthalt war wundervoll. Die Pools sind groß und es gab immer freie Liegen. Die Wasserspiele für die Kinder sind auch sehr schön. Und wenn man es etwas ruhiger wollte, konnte man einen anderen Pool nutzen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Und die unmittelbare Nähe nach Khao Lak ist sehr praktisch. We stayed in this hotel for four days. Overall it was very good. I recommend this hotel especially to families with children. The is playroom for kids and other mini water park facilities that kids enjoy to be at. Drinks for some reason are significantly overpriced at this hotel, almost twice as expensive as other hotels/places.

Lovely family hotel just disappointed with quality of food. Two restaurants with very similar food. Thai food was very poor.

Great stay, love that there are more than one pool, Beach just a few step away Execelent breakfast, good and reasonibly priced food during lunch and dinner Staff, not a single bad Word comes to my mind, truly friendly and serviceminded

Hotel har enormt god rating og har fem stjerner, så vi blev ret skuffede over særligt hotellets stand og mad. Hotellet er simpelthen ikke tilstrækkeligt vedligeholdt og værelserne (vi havde tre suiter) var ikke et fem stjernet hotel værdigt i både stand og møbler. Det var ok, men ikke fem stjerner. Vores liggestole lignede, de var 10 år gamle og fik flere gange håndklæder, der var trævlet i kanten. Morgenbuffet’en havde et stort udvalg, men var bare ikke lækkert. Det var afspisning af virkelig mange mennesker på samme tid, så morgenmaden var mere noget, der skulle overstået end nydes. Vi prøvede også aftenbuffet’en to gange og blev så aldeles skuffede. Til 890B per person burde maden været super lækker og ikke bare en average buffet, som fås på en Thairestaurant i DK! Vi spiste for langt under det halve de øvrige to uger med drinks og meget bedre mad. Vi var meget glade for, at vi ikke havde bestilt halvpension. Vi havde pool foran vores suite - og det var det mest fantastiske ved vores ophold -samt et super venligt personale, der alle smilede og var meget hjælpsomme. Hotellet ligger lige ud til stranden og tæt på markeder og seværdigheder/aktiviteter, så dette var helt som forventet.

Clean room, fantastic facilities, great buffet breakfast and very good location. The resort exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend to families.
