Motovun is a tiny village with very few hotels and restaurants. The old.town is pedestrian only so parking is 'down the hill' and the hotel car picks you up. We had a valley view adjacent to communal terrace. Hitel does a great.job ahutting terrace.down at 10 pm for noise control. Super.friendly staff and a.bonus - well.stocker honor bar in lobby w chilled beer, water, local.wines. corkscrew handy, did not need to ask. Even supplied quality glassware!

The hôtel is fine, not luxurious, but very décent. The breakfast is generous, the view from the terrace is spectacular! NOTE: Arrive before 8PM if not you’ll have to carry your luggage from the parking lot on your own, and once arrived at the hotel, no one was there! The waiter next door had to try to reach someone and gave us a key to a room. All staff had gone home at 8pm!! It was a mistake, they tough everyone had checked in. , I don’t this this kind of thing happened every day, but it was really not cool! They apologized the next day and said would comp our parking fee, then they charged us anyway!! OMG!! Ich!!!

Otroligt trevligt och fint hotell. Mycket hjälpsam värd som både hämtade och lämnade oss vid parkering. Avslappnad och generös atmosfär, terrassen har magisk utsikt och frukosten utsökt, speciellt äggröran med tryffel! Rekommenderas varmt!

Villa Borgo is a magic place in a wonderful medival town. Most people come from the coast for a day-trip or one night. I stayed here with my parents and my teenage daughter for five nights, and we didn't regret it at all. The medival streets of Motovun are not easy to walk for elder people (like my parents), but also here the staff of Villa Borgo is helping tremendously, by example by transfer to the parking lots. The staff is absolutely great and extremely helpful, they made our stay especially enjoyable! And they prepare a wonderful breakfast with the best scrambled eggs ever, normal style or with truffles! From the terrace of Villa Borgo, you have a perfect view on the valley, and at night a perfect sundown. We were sitting a whole day on this terrace, enjoying the view, the people passing by, and the drinks that are served by the bar on the other side of the street (B5, connected to Villa Borgo). Before 9 am and afzer 9 pm, you can walk the medival walls for free - don't miss this!. Food is not cheap in Motovun, but it is worth it, it is of very high quality - and you will most probably never eat better truffles! They prepare everything with it, from truffled omelett and truffled pasta (both around 12.- to 19.-) to truffled pannacotta (!). I am quite positive that my first visit in Villa Borgo was not my last one!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Borgo. The room is a bit small but very clean and equipped with everything you need. Very good quality beddings and linen. Breakfast was amazing! They offered freshly made omelette every morning and you can even have it with truffles! The view from their private balcony is breathtaking. You can see the entire valley from there. We enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony. Great location where you can walk to pretty much everything in Motovun tho parking can be challenging since it’s a small town with very limited parking. They offer a pick-up from a parking lot to the hotel so you won’t have to carry your luggage yourself.

Jättefint läge inne i borgen med en terass med fantastisk utsikt och solnedgång. Värdinnan var mycket hjälpsam och det var en bonus att vi kunde hyra e-bikes på hotellet, så att vi kunde utforska omgivningarna med cykel. Flera fina byar inom cykelavstånd på en heldagsutflykt. Värdinnan anvisade parkering och körde bagaget åt oss. Jättebra då det är en bit att gå från parkeringen.

The hotel is really clean. Our room seemed freshly renovated, bed and mattress were great quality. The terrasse is stunning for sipping a glass of wine and for breakfast. I strongly recommend the truffle scramble eggs, delicious. On too if that the staff is super friendly. For parking, you can call the hotel and they will come and pick you up (there are 2 parking lots at the bottom of the hill) and they will pay the parking fee. Awesome service.

Wir haben die Vila Borgo für eine Nacht in Motovun gebucht. Hervorragend war der Shuttle Service vom Parkplatz. Es empfiehlt sich jedoch, mit wenig Gepäck zu reisen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer unter dem Dach, was bedeutet, dass man mehrere schmale Treppen nach oben muss. Diese sind teilweise etwas zugestellt mit Lampen für die Terrasse etc. Durch die kleinen Fenster ist das Zimmer selbst tagsüber recht dunkel, abends kann man jedoch den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Leider konnten wir die Klimaanlage nicht nutzen, da sie direkt über dem Bett installiert ist und auf das Kopfende des Bettes bläst. Wir hatten ein neues Bad, jedoch mit wackeliger, da nicht passender Klobrille - schrecklich! Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten zum aufhängen von Handtüchern etc. im Bad. Der Kleiderschrank im Zimmer war etwas abgewohnt. Leider gab es wenige Steckdosen. Die Kopfkissen waren toll. Absolut empfehlenswert ist das Frühstück, u.a. mit leckerem gegrillten Gemüse, es gibt aber auch frisches Obst, Joghurt, Wurst und Käse. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und spricht perfekt englisch.

Had a wonderful stay here. We’re recommended this place from friends who have stayed here number of years ago and it did not disappoint. Very clean, the breakfast was spectacular and the service was exceptional. Rooms are quite tiny but are made up for with the spectacular views, wide-open Terrace, and very comfortable family dining room

The Villa Borgo is all about the staff and service. Our room was just ok, and we didn’t like climbing three flights of stairs coming and going…but the building is what it is, and they have a lovely terrace with an inc red double view. We ate well, with a freshly made breakfast for us, and great local restaurants. Plus, chocolate in their espresso!

Had a wonderful stay here. We’re recommended this place from friends who have stayed here number of years ago and it did not disappoint. Very clean, the breakfast was spectacular and the service was exceptional. The hôtel is fine, not luxurious, but very décent. The breakfast is generous, the view from the terrace is spectacular! NOTE: Arrive before 8PM if not you’ll have to carry your luggage from the parking lot on your own, and once arrived at the hotel, no one was there! The waiter next door had to try to reach someone and gave us a key to a room. All staff had gone home at 8pm!! It was a mistake, they tough everyone had checked in. , I don’t this this kind of thing happened every day, but it was really not cool! They apologized the next day and said would comp our parking fee, then they charged us anyway!! OMG!! Ich!!!

It was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is wonderful, the best location in town with the best view of the valley from our room. Slaven, the owner, is a very friendly guy, he organized our breakfast early in the morning, before the usual time and the other owner took us to the parking lot after breakfast. The only complaint is that we only stayed one night, but we didn't have more time.

Villa Borgo is a magic place in a wonderful medival town. Most people come from the coast for a day-trip or one night. I stayed here with my parents and my teenage daughter for five nights, and we didn't regret it at all. The medival streets of Motovun are not easy to walk for elder people (like my parents), but also here the staff of Villa Borgo is helping tremendously, by example by transfer to the parking lots. The staff is absolutely great and extremely helpful, they made our stay especially enjoyable! And they prepare a wonderful breakfast with the best scrambled eggs ever, normal style or with truffles! From the terrace of Villa Borgo, you have a perfect view on the valley, and at night a perfect sundown. We were sitting a whole day on this terrace, enjoying the view, the people passing by, and the drinks that are served by the bar on the other side of the street (B5, connected to Villa Borgo). Before 9 am and afzer 9 pm, you can walk the medival walls for free - don't miss this!. Food is not cheap in Motovun, but it is worth it, it is of very high quality - and you will most probably never eat better truffles! They prepare everything with it, from truffled omelett and truffled pasta (both around 12.- to 19.-) to truffled pannacotta (!). I am quite positive that my first visit in Villa Borgo was not my last one!

We had a valley view adjacent to communal terrace. Hitel does a great.job ahutting terrace.down at 10 pm for noise control. Super.friendly staff and a.bonus - well.stocker honor bar in lobby w chilled beer, water, local.wines. corkscrew handy, did not need to ask. Even supplied quality glassware!

The hotel is really clean. Our room seemed freshly renovated, bed and mattress were great quality. The terrasse is stunning for sipping a glass of wine and for breakfast. I strongly recommend the truffle scramble eggs, delicious. On too if that the staff is super friendly. For parking, you can call the hotel and they will come and pick you up (there are 2 parking lots at the bottom of the hill) and they will pay the parking fee. Awesome service.

Great place, amazing breakfast. We loved it. One thing I did not know about was the parking. You have to park away from the place and a person will come get you when you call but the parking lot is so full that you have to wait for someone to leave before you are able to get a spot. We waited about 25 min for the parking spot. 3 other cars were also waiting so please all take turns.
