Turyaa Chennai - OMR IT Expressway

Nice and friendly staff but service levels could do with improving in certain areas. Room cleaning mostly a challenge, always something missing or not replaced. Couldn’t use swimming pool because every day there are children swimming lessons taking up whole pool for min first 3 hours 6-9am. Then pool closes 6pm so I couldn’t even swim after work! I complained but taking revenue from swimming lessons is obviously more important than guests use. The automatic piano in the lobby is annoyingly loud and during my Dec stay they played same 6 or 7 tacky Xmas songs on loop which was everywhere, toilets,restaurants,lobby,lifts,walkways,pool you couldn’t escape it. The bar is very dark and overplays loud techno music with extremely distorted bass. Service can be slow in there. I will only come back here if holiday inn is full. Cleaning in rooms not brilliant. Behind blinds/curtains is black/grubby and whilst looking for tv remote saw u see the bed thick dust/hair and an old pair of knickers!

The cooling in the rooms was good Disliked · The property is not a 5 star hotel even though they claim to be one, due to the below reasons: 1. The lighting in the breakfast restaurant is very dull and almost dark. 2. They give out toiletaries like its gold. Low quality wash gel and shampoo in the name of toiletaries. Also not enough of them. Had to ask every day for more wash gel. 3. Not enough attention to detail. We were 2 adults and a child in the room so each day we had to remind them to give us an extra towel as they would only keep 2 towels. Towels were worn out and need to be thrown and new ones ought to be purchased. 4. We werent allowed to use the pool between 5 and 6 in the evening because they had some coaching/training going on. So we went to the pool after 6 PM which apparently is the close time and hence no pool towels are handed to you which is a bit ridiculous 5. Zomato driver isint even allowed to drop the food at the reception and I had to go all the way to the gate which is absurd

Really nice hotel that is full of attentive, friendly staff. Just need to be mindful of the swimming lessons in the afternoons if you want a peaceful swim in their fantastic infinity pool

I wouldn't stay here again. The only redeeming feature was the polite waitstaff. Rooms were not cleaned daily until a reminder. Not sufficient towels, toilet paper, smelly room, refrigerator didn't function, key cards didn't work

Liked the 2 room suite on the 7th floor with a nice view. Had some problems with having the suite cleaned properly and timely. The staff was helpful and accommodating, especially Sabita in Reception

Overpriced for What You Get – Poor Value and Comfort!! I recently stayed with my family and, unfortunately, the experience did not meet our expectations. We arrived approximately two hours before the official check-in time and requested an early check-in. Despite our polite request and the fact that we were traveling with a child, we were told that no rooms were available. This was quite surprising, as it’s the first time I’ve encountered a hotel unwilling to accommodate early check-in, especially when rooms often are available. We were asked to wait in the lobby, which was inconvenient and uncomfortable for my wife, son, and me. The room itself was underwhelming. The cleanliness and quality of the room, bathroom, and amenities did not reflect the price charged for a one-night stay. Additionally, we were disappointed to learn that only three small bottles of drinking water were complimentary. When I later requested more water at the reception offering to pay for it, it was never delivered. The bed provided was only suitable for two people, which is not ideal for a family with a kid. This lack of accommodation made our stay even more uncomfortable. Overall, the experience felt more in line with what one might expect from a two-star hotel, not the standard or value we were led to believe we would receive.

it is not well maintained room. lavatory commode is fully stains , even I didn't see in 2 star hotels also Bathroom marbles have main stains and looking so dirty Carpet at bed is so dirty and full of stains Refrigerator is in very bad position (drain water leakage) and fridge shelfs are not cleaned . Surprised , no hair dryer and chappal's in 5 star hotel

It was disappointing. Washroom did not had even footmat, Hand towel etc. service was very poor. Needs an hr to get anything required.

Aklum & Jeyashree - the hotel managers - should not be working there. The worst customer-service training they have. DO NOT leave your unopened food packets , they will steal it. The room was filthy and dirty and the shower knob was broken and took ages for them to fix it. This all , inspite of paying for the junior suite room costing Rs.6000 a night, and we stayed 3 nights there, totalling Rs.23,000 with GST. NOT WORTH THE STAY. Please stay away from this place, we are from US and will not approve of this place VERY VERY BAD.

This hotel was recommended by a niece who lives nearby. Turyaa exceeded our expectations. The suite was well appointed, modern, clean and the hotel was well maintained. The staff were very helpful. Can't ask for more. Great value for money.

It was 1st time to visit Chennai ,once u enter the hotel u will feel welcomed and comfort All staff are professional helpful and friendly Room with good space good air condition view was great I want to thank all reception staff , specially young male( sorry I forgot name tall and thin with very nice smile and helpful) Sammi and Riya Also for worker Kumar both of them I felt home I will recommend to stay there

Rooms were older and small. Dining staff were okay, but Front Desk and administration staff very disorganised and charged us for the wrong booking. We have yet to see our refund after three days.

Should have been a one night stay but owing to severe weather conditions we were forced to cancel our travel plans and stay another night. Thankfully we had chosen thus wonderful hotel so although we were disappointed not to travel it was made enjoyable by the wonderful staff and superb hotel. I would definitely stay here again and thoroughly recommend it.

Very poor staff management! No co-ordination between their own employees. One issues invoice and the manager does not. Very poor management! Never again Turyaa!!!

Front staff was very rude and mannerless. No prioritisation for the Gold member of hotels.com. Wasn’t in a position to offer early checkin even 30 mins before inspite me waiting patiently for 3 hours but managed to find someone a room in 5 mins because of being friends with the hotel manager.

An oasis of calm, with fabulous evening meals plus an extensive breakfast. Staff were excellent and very helpful.

Over all the stay was satisfactory. But the metro train construction is ruining the area...
