The staff was very nice, the check in process was very easy, the room was amazing, the only downside is very limited parking on the street. There’s parking garages nearby however. Other than that we loved our stay here! Walkable distance to just about anywhere

nice layout to rooms, nice common area. Easy to walk to major landmarks and restaurants. Great location. stairs leading to hotel has a horrible smell - old building that has a very old elevator (we didn't use it, we were told it gets stuck often) and the shaft is open to the ground below. smells quite foul

The property was close walk to all tourist attractions and public transportation. We had Room 4 which included a kitchenette. Very helpful for our 2 week stay. There was a deli grocery store just 5 minute walk from this hotel.

This place was amazing! Perfect location (close to the city center but far enough to have a quiet night). Very clean and spacious rooms (the jetted spa was so nice over looking the river). Luisa was so nice and accommodating. If we ever find ourselves back in Rome we will definitely be staying here again!

We had a great stay at this lovely hotel. The hotel is noce, clean and quiet. We love the ancient Roman look of the building and the modern design inside. The junior loft is spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable with a full kitchen. The location is great, which is within walking distance of a lot of attractions. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. We were given a city map, taxi and restaurants information. We will defintely comeback again next time we are in Rome!

It was very homey for Christmas, decorated with a beautiful tree,the accommodations were nice, clean , bar in rooms, modern deco was great, I love the library, read or order in and dine at the tables. I would have liked a microwave. The sitting room with big tv plus tv in the room, coffee machines in rooms and central area. Beatrice wil help with tours and transportation. Next to the Vatican and St Angelo castle. Plenty of restaurants. DEFINITELY A GREAT PLACE FOR CHRISTMAS IN ROME.

Great place to stay. We stayed for 7 days. Easy access to everything as long as you don’t mind a little walk. The room was very nice apartment. Kitchen is spacious, bathroom is equipped with shower and separate jet tub. Totally worth it.

The place is very high end and clean. However, we encountered a few problems. The building itself is old and has very loud squeals and banging noises from the pipes. When other rooms use their jacuzzi bath…we hear that too. Also conversations from other guests as the walls are thin. One night, the electricity went off completely. One night we were locked out as we shut a set of doors that were not clearly marked to keep open. The staff was nice but did not always communicate with us well or act on our reports in a timely manner. That said, the fixtures and fittings are very nice. Nice to have a kitchenette as well. Bathroom could use some hooks and shelves as there is little room for toiletries, makeup or to hang towels. More pretty, less practical. The restaurant next door is great!

This was a great place to stay. Close to transportation as well as multiple sights in Rome. The hotel’s A/C was great and the room felt modern and was always clean. The luggage drop off after checkout was very much appreciated. The elevator initially looked a little suspicious, but it was reliable. Luisa was also very communicative. If I ever return to Rome I would absolutely consider staying here again.

Stayed here for 3 nights, very walkable 10-15 mins walk to the Vatican City or to the main shopping area. 10 min walk to closest metro station. Self check in was extremely easy, and Luisa was lovely and welcoming each time we met her. Free tea and coffee facilities in the room and a minibar in the fridge (at extra cost)- we were able to put own drinks in fridge aswell to keep cool. Room was clean and bed was very comfy! Slept in most days because it was soo comfy lol Air conditioning was great and needed in the Roman summer 😅 Shower was fab aswell! 10/10 would recommend, and would stay again if we visit again!

Luxury on the River is located in walking distance to Piazza Del Popolo, the Spanish Steps, and Vatican City. A great location, a super clean facility, friendly staff, and the room was very comfortable and cozy. Luxury on the River is also in walking distance to breakfast places and a Carrefour Express. This venue is definitely recommendable!!!

We enjoyed our stay and the staff were really nice and helpful. The property was good not what i was expecting...my own fault really as i imagined a little accomadation that sat right next too the river but it is in an apartment building across a busy road to the river. Nice to walk next too. I had an apartment which had a seperate bedroom, bathroom and kitchen on second floor. The bed was comfy and we had access to netflix on the tv which was so lovely to watch and relax after a full day of running about around Rome. I do have to say that the jet tub which was the selling point for me was a little bit of a disappointment we put it on and took ages to run the bath deep enough to then sent lots of dead spiders out from the jets so im guessing it hadnt been used for a while. We abandoned use of it. Other than that it felt safe and we were located right in the centre of everything we wanted to see so it all was no more than a 30 minute walk away which didnt even feel like that because there us so much to stop and see on the way. Would stay again.

An amazing place to stay in Rome for location. Minutes from the Vatican. We took the bus from the airport and it was a 10 minute walk. I gave a rating of 4 as next time we know to book a room facing the road so that we can have light and open the window. Looking forward to coming back!

Charming old building about a 15 minute walk to the Vatican and Castel of St. Angelo. Room was nice size for Europe accommodations, with a nice bathroom and very comfortable bed. The room had a staircase leading to an upstairs area with extra space for a desk and a big walk in closet, but this was fairly useless for guests only staying a few days (didn't want to lug everything up the stairs and then down again). The property made no communication ahead of our arrival (as most others did) and there seemed to be only one person to greet us when we arrived. She was very nice and accommodating, but within an hour she was gone for the entire weekend, so it felt a bit like guests are just left on their own. We were okay with that, but some people may not feel comfortable with such a skeleton staff. The list of recommended restaurants that the property provided was spotty. One (Ristorante Enzo) was really pretty bad and should not be on the list. Another, located just downstairs and two doors to the right, was excellent and super charming.

Lucia is great - super friendly, attentive and helpful. The hotel is comfortable, the bed was great. Feels like staying at an apartment in an older historic city building. If you are looking for luxury this is not the place for you but if you want a comfortable and safe place to stay that is in walking distance to major city spots but not right in the tourist area then this is for you. It’s very close to the Vatican City, cute places for breakfast around the hotel. Check out Pops diner. Also close to a bus that takes you right to the center of town and 10 min walk to the metro. We really enjoyed our time.

The manager was extremely nice and helpful; we’d give six stars for the service alone. The only real observation is that parts of the room showed some wear and could use maintenance. For example, the wood (or particle board) around the kitchen faucet was worn and loose, so it was flapping around a bit and the fridge either didn’t close all the way or took a bit to cool items down. Overall, though, the service and convenient yet peaceful location more than made up for these small issues.

The staff was nice but did not always communicate with us well or act on our reports in a timely manner. That said, the fixtures and fittings are very nice. Nice to have a kitchenette as well. Bathroom could use some hooks and shelves as there is little room for toiletries, makeup or to hang towels. More pretty, less practical. The restaurant next door is great!

Great property overall, very well designed, as well as useful products in the bathroom. Staff was very nice and welcoming, check-in/check-out processes very easy. Only downside is that the building is very old and you would have to slam the door to get it to shut and we heard that many times throughout the night very loudly.

The kitchen was fine and had what it needed. My issue with my room was there was an additional door in the bathroom that led out to a hall way. This hallway contained a water heater. And, the door didn’t lock. As a woman traveling alone, it didn’t feel safe to have a door in the bathroom or room that didn’t lock and led out into another area of the hotel. I brought it up to the staff and they were dismissive. Something else that bothered me, was after a room cleaning, I returned to find my curling iron and straighter in the bidet. Which is disgusting. I think for the money spent, you can definitely find somewhere better to stay.

Charming old building about a 15 minute walk to the Vatican and Castel of St. Angelo. Room was nice size for Europe accommodations, with a nice bathroom and very comfortable bed. The room had a staircase leading to an upstairs area with extra space for a desk and a big walk in closet, but this was fairly useless for guests only staying a few days (didn't want to lug everything up the stairs and then down again). Excellent location, walkable to a lot of the main attractions. Good restaurant just around the area. Lusia is very helpful in answering questions about airport shuttle, attractions, bus routes etc. She responds very quickly in WhatsApp messages. She even helped us to resolve a printing issue on her day off.

The Hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of historical areas and the Hotel staff was very helpful and informative specifically Luisa and Beatrice who were genuinely concerned with our needs for transportation and were a phone call away for help with whatever we needed. If in Rome again we would definitely stay here again.

A hidden gem of a hotel in Rome. Good and safe location, only about a 25 min walk from Vatican City. So many restaurants and shopping locations minutes away by foot. Room was superb, clean and quiet. Very friendly, nice and kind staff. The staff is knowledgeable of the area and will answer any questions you have. Enjoyed my stay at Luxury on the River. I will gladly stay here again. Was a cute property and the staff was great to work with me in my later arrival. My only issue was the AC in my room not working well but to their credit I only told them as I was leaving. Close to the river but a good walk to restaurants. Overall was a good place to stay. I would recommend it

An amazing place to stay in Rome for location. Minutes from the Vatican. We took the bus from the airport and it was a 10 minute walk. I gave a rating of 4 as next time we know to book a room facing the road so that we can have light and open the window. Looking forward to coming back!

The entire stay was extremely well organized, from the pick up at Fiumicino, to arriving at Luxury on the River, to the cleanliness of the room, available amenities, and the pick up by taxi the next day. Well done!!! Highly recommendable. The location itself is prime. A Carrefour Express is less than ten minutes walking distance. Piazza del Popolo is nearby. Great stuff!!! La struttura la conosco è la terza volta che soggiorno qui. Un suggerimento che ho fornito al personale presente è la colazione che prima c’era ed era buonissima. We had a great stay at this lovely hotel. The hotel is noce, clean and quiet. We love the ancient Roman look of the building and the modern design inside. The junior loft is spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable with a full kitchen. The location is great, which is within walking distance of a lot of attractions. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. We were given a city map, taxi and restaurants information. We will defintely comeback again next time we are in Rome!

It was very homey for Christmas, decorated with a beautiful tree,the accommodations were nice, clean , bar in rooms, modern deco was great, I love the library, read or order in and dine at the tables. I would have liked a microwave. The sitting room with big tv plus tv in the room, coffee machines in rooms and central area. Beatrice wil help with tours and transportation. Next to the Vatican and St Angelo castle. Plenty of restaurants. DEFINITELY A GREAT PLACE FOR CHRISTMAS IN ROME.

This hotel is amazing. The staff is so great and friendly, they helped us with any question or need we had. Staff does only work on site limited hours, however they are available 24 hours if you do need them. The room was so comfortable and clean! The location is right outside the City Center, but you can walk there in minutes, walkable distance to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and the Vatican. There are many dining options near by. It is really in the middle of everything, we only had to take a taxi once the entire time we were there. When we go back to Rome, we will stay here again without question. I highly recommend this hotel.
