Nice large functional rooms, great linens, comfy beds, incredibly centrally located. Negative: NO laundry facilities, either in the hotel or nearby. In this day and age of carry-on luggage, that was a major hassle (handwashing XL pants pretty challenging).

The property is very close to Checkpoint Charlie and walkable to other landmarks as well as the U-bahn that is easy to follow to other parts of the city. The front desk staff was very helpful and the room clean. There is a bar connected to it that was nice to watch the Euro matches in too.

Hotel is located 2 min walk to Check point Charlie. Lots of restaurants and transportation within walking distance. Their parking lot is secure and the staff at the front desk, Marcel, Riccardo and Jenny are outstanding! Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

The room I originally booked was not the one I booked, but the one I was given had a better view. The staff was amazing. There’s a bar attached to the hotel called Johnny’s. The owner and son were amazing. I wanted to give the a 5 all around, but my complaint was one I know it wasn’t their fault. I couldn’t control the temperature like I wanted. I’m from Texas and we like it cold in the summer. All and all I’ll go back in a heartbeat. Oh forgot to mention that it near Checkpoint Charlie, meaning you’re near everything.

Wir waren für zwei Nächte im Garner Berlin – Mitte und insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Die Lage ist zentral, der Parkplatz direkt am Hotel war gut erreichbar und bequem nutzbar. Die Zimmer waren sauber und ordentlich, allerdings fehlten in zwei der gebuchten Zimmer Kaffeemaschinen – gerade für einen Kaffee oder Tee am Abend wäre das wünschenswert gewesen. Auch kostenloses Wasser auf dem Zimmer wäre ein schöner Service, wie man ihn aus vielen Hotels kennt. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, wenn auch mit eher begrenzter Auswahl. Für den Start in den Tag hat es jedoch vollkommen ausgereicht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal – ein großes Dankeschön an Frau Marina Carp-Schaefer, die sich sehr professionell um unser Anliegen gekümmert hat! Negativ fiel unsere späte Anreise auf: Wir kamen erschöpft gegen 23:45 Uhr an, doch der junge Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sprach nur Englisch. Dadurch kam es zu Missverständnissen, u. a. wurde das dritte Zimmer zunächst nicht gefunden und es entstand eine falsche Parkgebühr. Zum Glück wurde das am nächsten Morgen durch Frau Carp-Schaefer unkompliziert und serviceorientiert gelöst.

Wonderful customer service, room and bathroom were very clean and beds were also super comfortable! Perfect place to come back to after a long day of touristing. We had breakfast one of the mornings and the spread was delicious and constantly topped up :)

They dont clean the rooms ! NOTHING just change the towels AND only if you ask them to. The AC doesnt work it was so hot in the room! The thermometer said 18c but it was actually 28c ! We couldn’t sleep!

Location was great, as was the breakfast and other food and drink options. However, the WiFi in our room was non-functional. I needed to work during the trip and was not able to do so from my room. Also we were there for 6 nights and our room was only cleaned once. We had to go track down clean towels, extra toilet paper and soap on our own.

Nice quiet hotel in a great location. Very close to both the Stadtmitte and Checkpoint Charlie U-bahn stations, and near several restaurants and coffee shops. You are right at the corner of Freidrichstauss, which is a major thoroughfare in the city with many high end shops. You are 15-30 minute walk from virtually everything. We walked to Anhalter station, the Reichstag, Brandenburg gate, topography of terror, and tons of other points of interest. The room got pretty hot and we couldn't turn the heat down, but the windows open to let fresh air in. We took a red eye flight and got to the hotel at noon, and they let us check in right away which was such a relief. Would absolutely stay here again.

The location of the hotel was excellent and the room was a great size. The shower was very good but there was quite a bit of rust on the bathroom radiator. Breakfast was very good. The television said there were English news channels but none of these worked.

This Property location and Price were great. Very affordable and right in the middle of the action. I was lucky to have my room ready before the states check in time. Three notes. 1) While there is a thermostat in the room it did not change the temperature much. Despite putting in max cold setting for hours, I found opening the window cooled the room off more. 2) Also I found it odd that when the room was serviced, clear garbage and empty bottles were not cleaned up by staff. They dealt with the towels refolded the linens and that was it. 3) Finally while I got a "king" bed it was actually two double beds pushed together. That's fine but what was odd was two double duvets covers instead of one king duvet. Overall decent stay in a prime location at a good price.

Great location. Easily my favorite and if i were to come back to Berlin again, I wouldnt have an issue with staying here again. Only annoyance was the bed sheet was rather small and didnt event cover half the top of the bed. I like to be able to roll over without thr sheet coming off me...

the room given had a leak coming from air conditioning and the phones not working went i took a photo and video went down to front desk and spoke with the lady, the manager immediately gave us different room and said was an upgrade. Very happy with our stay and will book with them when we come back

Great hotel for visiting Berlin. Good location near Checkpoint Charlie and the U Bahn. Spacious, quiet and clean room with good shower, safe and tea and coffee making facilities. Reception staff were friendly and enthusiastic with recommendations for restaurants and general information. Special shout-out to Toni who went the extra mile.

Not a good experience in this hotel, the worst Berlin hotel I've stayed in after travelling here weekly for work for last 6 months: - very uncomfortable bed and pillows - dripping taps at night - partially cleaned room - no working foreign language TV channels - one very rude and unhelpful front desk man This is really a basic motel offering and is better suited to a motorway service station than the centre of a city.

From the very first interaction, the staff at The Wall were extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. We arrived from Edinburgh on an early flight, so were in Berlin by 10am - a long time ahead of our 3pm check-in. As the hotel was in the heart of the city, we swung by to ask if we could just drop off our bags to allow us to explore unburdened. We were immediately offered the opportunity, not only to drop our bags, but to check into our room. We were offered advice about places to visit and eat, and given maps of the city. The staff were a delight at every turn. The room was bright, clean and comfortable. We slept well on each of the 4 nights. I like the scheme the hotel run where if you don’t want housekeeping on a particular day you just pop a sign on your door, and they reward you with a token for a free drink! We have already booked a return trip for later in the year. Thank you to all at The Wall for making our stay extra special.

Worker knocked on door when I had the don’t clean sign on. Had a wooden coat hanger in his hand and wanted to know how many I had in my room. I checked and told him the number. I told 2 males at the front desk and they said it was due to the new ownership wanting to get things right, that they normally wouldn’t enter rooms. Same guy the next day tried again I reminded him of the number and told him to write it down! This time a gal at the front desk was very concerned and wrote it on the computer.

Great place to stay right next to checkpoint Charlie. Hop on hop off bus stop right next to hotel and only 100m to underground train station. Easy walk to centre of Berlin and most attractions. Hotel staff were very helpful with information on attractions and how to get there. Great price and very nice room. Highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Garner was conveniently located within easy walking distance of many attractions including Checkpoint Charlie and Brandenburg Gate. The desk staff was very helpful and the rooms were comfortable.

Location, location, location! Absolutely fantastic hotel located 100 yards from Checkpoint Charlie and a remaining part of the wall (in the opposite direction). The room was so quiet and clean, the staff were very friendly and great fun. Very highly recommended.

Absolute wonderful location and very nice room. We loved everything and it was quiet for Berlin but still only 2 min to metro and within walking distance of major sights. Recommend this hotel!!

This hotel has an excellent location 1 minute from Checkpoint Charlie. Close to the U Bahn, and twenty minutes’ walk from Friedrichstrasse train station. From there, trains take 30 minutes to the airport. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel was great! Our plane to Berlin was changed on us last minute so we arrived by 9am instead of 2pm. The staff let us check in early at 12pm and was very nice about it. The property is in an OK area, what I would warn people about is that the hop on hop off buses park right outside of the hotel, so it can be a little noisy and crowded in the morning. The breakfast here was hands down the best out of all of my travels in Germany (we went to 5 different cities while we stayed). There’s a lot of nice restaurants around, with close access to the train to get to where you want to go

We had a great stay, very nice hotel in a great location for exploring Berlin. Everything you need, comfy bed and clean. 21 euros seemed alot to us for breakfast, would suggest going to the cafe down the road where we got croissants and coffee for 5 euros!

Unique was the location. The hotel and the room were nice, but there was little attention to detail. All plants were artificial ones, breakfast was okay, but not extraordinary. Pancakes, tiny waffles and scrambled eggs were all cold. Not much variation in the dishes offered. Uniforms of kitchen personnel were shabby, to say the least. Not something I would even wear while doing garden work. We stayed for 2 nights and after spending the first night in a room where the airconditioning didn’t function and the shower overflowed because the drain obviously was clogged we asked the receptionist whether this could be fixed. We knew the hotel was not fully booked. The receptionist did not offer a different room. In fact, he just wrote our complaints down, but seemed uninterested. And the 2nd night it appeared nothing had been fixed at all. Another hot night with water overflow in the shower. We did report it once more during our check-out. Different receptionist; same reaction. Would never stay here again.

The check in process was straight forward and easy. Our room was clean and spacious. We stayed four nights and lots of places we wanted to visit were within walking distance. We had breakfast on two mornings which was great. Fresh food with lots of choice.
