We were in town for an Antique Motorcycle Rally centered around the Wheels Through Time Museum. Our location was absolutely perfect. The room was clean and spacious for our needs as we weren't planning to spend much time in there. the Staff is so kind and accommodating. There was side parking spaces on site for trucks and trailers and motocycles ( or your car ) can be parked right in front of your door. Pool was sparkling clean. It's not super fancy, but quaint and quiet. Mom & Pop type facility. It was perfect for our needs and we would definitely book there again. (and so would our friends who actually stayed elsewhere and regretted it after visiting with us.) Owner was on site and very sweet. They are new owners and working very hard and it shows!!

Stayed here during a trip to Biltmore Estate. Easy drive to Asheville from Maggie Valley. Staff friendly. Room was clean with no offensive odors. Few things in room needed attention but did not affect our stay. Bed was comfortable. We had a room close to the street but noise did not keep us awake. Would return based on price and cleanliness. Older motel but prefer that. Parking at door with designated number parking spots was appreciated

This has become our FAVORITE place to stay in Maggie Valley! The owners are so so friendly. The rooms are not HUGE but they are comfortable and functional. Most importantly, they are CLEAN! There is no built up dirt along the edges of the furniture or base of the walls. The owner is in the process of updating and renovating the rooms, one by one. The location is quiet and safe and the pool is kept clean. The rocking chairs on the front stoop outside each room are one of the most relaxing amenities. The owners talk to the guests to ensure they are happy with their stay.

Nice staff, but an extremely worn motel. Mattresses had huge divots in the center, wood was rotting on the floorboards, and floors were filthy. The shower itself was clean, and the rocking chairs were nice, but do yourself a favor and stay at one of the chain motels instead.

Stayed because it had an 8+ exceptional rating. Room was well worn with broken light switch covers and scuffed and dirty furniture. Walls in bathroom were filthy, brown moisture drips rolled down the walls when shower was used. Bed was hard and lumpy. Room reeked of cleaning solution to cover up the dirt. Room had an infestation of tiny ants.

First, the room was exceptionally clean, the beds were very comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly. My only issues were that the room and areas around the outside of the hotel are in need of some refurbishment. Cabinets, doors, carpet, the parking and breezeway area all show plenty of wear. Also, when we first arrived, the room had a very strong Indian spicy incense smell. It was so strong we bought some Fabreeze to combat it. After spraying Fabreeze that evening and the next morning, it was fine. Finally, there seemed to be some families and workmen living in some of the rooms at least semi-permanently. Maybe this is because of the resent Hurricane. But you could tell some of the vehicles in the lot had been sitting for a long time and we saw some kids get off a school bus and go into a room. They were not the children of the owners. Anyway, a mostly pleasant stay. But room for improvement too.

This motel offers rooms for a good price. Apparently, smoking was allowed in the room in the past. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. The motel does not allow smoking in the room now as there is a sign saying so on the door.

The mold in this room and especially the bathroom was so bad, what little time spent in the room, my nose was clogged and I had a sore throat. The shoe mold was rotten and green from mold. The ceiling in the bathroom had mold. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom.

Man at desk was super nice. Rooms need to be updated but were clean. We got very cold as the heater is back towards the bathroom with only a doorway to allow heat/air to move into sleeping area.

I like that they had everything ready and basically gave me a key when I showed up. Room as clean and taken care of. The 2 story-additional building is really noisy with people going up and down stairs. Probably would be better to stay in the 1-story building. Great location.

It was fine for a night stay. It did have new carpeting in the king bed room we stayed in which is much appreciated. The bed was super soft without much support. It was nice to sit out on the rocking chairs at night. It did take quite a bit of time to get hot water for the shower. Staff very friendly

It is a very nice place to stay, we were in the 2 story building on the first floor and you could hear everything that went on throughout the night not allowing a good nights sleep. and the hot water heater is not close so you have to run the hot water for a while before it gets to the faucet. the staff and owners were very friendly and kind just request a room in the single level section of the motel.

Was great!! The guy in the lobby was so nice. First, he double checked the room before we stayed in it to make sure it was good. We accidentally overslept and he knocked on the door at 11 and was so nice. We left in a hurry and he called to tell us we left something behind. Will.absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend

Excellent host. They came to my room to make sure we had everything and that we were satisfied. It was quiet, clean, had a very nice atmosphere. Felt safe. No complaints and the price was GREAT but the service and staff really made it.

Very simple. NEVER stay here. The t.v. did not work at all, and the phone in the room was broken. The heat popped and squit working, No one was working the front desk after 11 that night and we couldn't call because the phone would not work. The Wi-Fi also did not work so basically we sat in a cold silent room. MISERABLE!!!!

We had issues the first night with the party above us being loud. We put in a call to mgmt and they went above and beyond what was needed to fix the situation. They even fixed us a room on the other side of the motel away from others converting a queen room into a king. So sweet but thankfully we didnt have to move as the party above quieted down. The mgmt was so very apologetic too! Great people! We will be back! The building is old as are all the hotels In Maggie Valley NC but rooms were spotless and they r gradually updating. Everything was good, bed, bedding, tv & bathrooms! Thx!

This is a nice, no-frills hotel right in the heart of Maggie Valley. It was very nice of the staff to have a stack of "Bike rags" to wipe down our rides, along with a hamper for the dirty ones - Thanks! The room was clean, the heat worked well. The bathroom needs a vent fan to clear the shower steam, and this caused the room to have a slightly musty smell.

I loved staying at this hotel while out riding the roads for three days. It was a nice place to come back to after a long day out. The hotel is right near Pop’s for breakfast and within walking distance to other places for lunch or dinner. It’s also walking distance to the motorcycle museum.

The person that greeted me at ther desk when I checked in late in the evening was super friendly and helpful. This place is not fancy but, it is spotless and just across the street from a great southern breakfast restaurant. I'd stay here again.

The property is dated but clean. The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and kind. The only problem we had was the gentleman in the room next door to us, kept playing music very loud at 6:30am. Also I think they need to offer breakfast

When I seek the least expensive place to spend a night on the road I do not expect luxurious accommodations. And the Travelowe is an aging facility with worn furniture close to a road. But it is generally well maintained, very clean, and the bed was wonderful. No breakfast, but at this price that is expected. I wish all my "on the road" options were as wonderful as my night here.
