We've been staying a Smokey Falls for 4 years twice a year for a week each time to ride our motorcycles in that area. The rooms are generally clean and comfortable. Lots of stuff going on. Having the restaurant on site is very convenient. They have free laundry machines to use. Plenty of parking for trucks & trailers. Covered motorcycle stable. Always enjoyed our stay.

My riding group stays there every year for a weekend trip. This was my 1st time at the lodge. It was a great place. Covered parking for the motorcycles, clean rooms, small fridge for keeping drinks cold while you were out for the day and coffee in the morning were great touches. The rooms were clean, the layout was practical, and the seating area outside the rooms were a nice touch. Great for hanging out after a day's adventure.

Nicely kept property with a creek out back. Restaurant and bar were great. They had live music in a large outside area and a fire pit by the creek. Room was a good size and clean with appropriate supplies. My only complaint was the room we were in was beside a storage area and the maids woke us up each morning talking loudly and hanging out there. They also banged on our door as we didn't have a do not disturb hanger.

The service in the restaurant / bar was somewhat slow, even when not busy. The restaurant closes to early on a Friday / Saturday especially on event weekends. Other than those issues that you can work around the facility is really awesome. The rest of the staff, bar / restaurant staff for outside was area was fantastic.

Trash everywhere. Security door didn't lock and the halls and room smelled bad. Bed was comfortable bath was tight had to sit sideways on toilet paper had no place to go. The photos you see are not what you get. Lots of bikers.

The room was spotless and comfortable. The showers were hot and the place was extremely dog friendly. The location is great and there is a wonderful view of the mountains. It sits on a creek and in the back you can have a fire. It was a wonderful experience and we will be returning.

Let me start with what was wrong...No toilet paper holder-broken bracket on the wall. Broken coffee maker button so you had to plug it into the wall to get it to work. A/C and heating units didn't work properly. Door into my room was where my wife couldn't open it or shut it because the door stuck at the latches so you had to slam it to close. Had floor lamps in the room with no plug to plug it into. Had to wait about 10 minutes to get any hot water to start coming out of the shower head. On the good side, the lady at the front desk was very friendly..the room was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. Don't think I'll be going back.

What a dump. Photos are very misleading. The ONLY good thing I can say is that the very small bathroom, refrigerator, and microwave were clean. The carpet was deep dirty, the outer door had a security lock but wouldn’t close at all, the place was very musty smelling and they tried to cover it up with air freshener. The ice machine had cobwebs growing in the dispenser—no telling how long it had been out of service. There was no sign on it and it was plugged in. There was a wide gap between the door frame and the wall in my room. A good push with a screwdriver would have been all that was needed to break in. The AC was awful. I had to go buy a fan. Lastly, the windows are covered with paper disposable blinds. They filter zero light and the outside lights are bright. No way to bring the light level down at night. Glad I didn’t book my entire vacation stay at this place. The sad thing is the property has great potential. If someone invested some real money it could be a classic and attract a good clientele that would pay premium rates.

Old rooms, smells in some areas, rooms need to be cleaned, deep cleaned. First room bathroom was so dirty, like a road side Porta potty dirty. New room was better but could use some deep cleaning in areas. Manager never emailed or called us back.

We woke up in the middle of the night and discovered that we were bitten all over by the bed bugs! The lobby was locked, and no one answered even the after hours phone number. We were forced to look for another hotel at 2am.

The hotel, and room, were amazing!! The room was actually split in two with a divider hallway. It was perfect for my friend and I! We both had our privacy. The hotel has a bar and restaurant. Food was good! We will definitely book another stay at rhis hotel.

Pretty average stay. The bar/restaurant was good for watching football. Room was pretty loud between the window unit fan for heat and the people next door. Could hear every word and they were just talking in normal volume. Clean bed and bathroom.

Pros: Friendly staff, restaurant attached to hotel and has great food, room had a good sized mini fridge as well as a microwave and coffee pot. Cons: I wish the windows had thicker blinds or curtains. The outside lights were so bright at night when trying to sleep.

Spacious and clean room. Comfortable bed. Coffee maker in room. Check in was easy. The young lady that checked me in last evening was accommodating for my health issues. I was at first placed in an upstairs room with no elevator present only stairs. I asked if it was possible for downstairs because due to my heart issues it’s hard for me to climb many stairs . She did so without any problems. I thanked her and was thankful for the understanding.

When we got there they put us in a room that wasn’t cleaned yet. The lamps were broken and it was a smoking room where we reserved a non smoking. They eventually put us in a different room. However, we didn’t have enough towels or toilet paper and the maid was not even working for two of the days we were there so our rooms weren’t cleaned and had no clean towels for a day. The front office was only open 9-9 and they got to work late everyday so we had no access to front office until like 11. Horriblf service

The good: the room was huge and well appointed. The hotel is pet friendly and did not at all smell like it!! The bad; I had to wait forever to find someone to check us in because there was no one in the lobby working. Our room had some maintenance things that could definitely use attention, like the shower access panel laying in the floor, the countertop on the bathroom sink was broken sheet panel in the fireplace was hanging down, etc. we never saw an employee other than the man who checked me in who came out from the restaurant. Would I stay again? Possibly, the rate was good and the room was huge!

We let our dog out in the middle of the night and our car keys would not allow us reentry into our room. We had to sit outside with no response to phone calls to all three emergency numbers on the office door with a notation that there was no staff until 9:00 a.m. . Other guests who were out walking their pets were kind enough to try with their phones and we ended up having to call the Maggie valley Police department to get back into our room. No one available even after 9:00 a.m. for check out to register our complaint.

On Hotels.com I reserved (2) rooms for my stay. I had another friend with me. Once we arrived there I was told that a second room was not available. I showed the person in the office my confirmation and printout but quite honestly she could not have cared less. I was told that I should have called instead of booking through Hotels.com. If the people at this hotel know there is a problem with booking on the app and they continue to use it for room reservations then that should tell potential guests all that they need to know. It is my opinion this hotel does not care at all about customer service or satisfaction and I would recommend that everyone enjoy their stay somewhere else.

The property itself is wonderful. I go twice a year to Maggie valley for the hillbilly jam. However I will not be staying at this hotel ever again. I had an emergency and had to leave a day early and they would not refund me! Also they are not in office when they say they will be and the guy was kind of rude on a ring camera that is the only way you can speak to the people in the office early in the morning

The service was excellent. I'd stayed here before and had good experiences. This time we had an issue with the first room, but they understood and gave us a new room and took good care of us. It's a nice place with a rustic feel. You won't regret staying here, if you're in the area.

The check in was simple and the staff were great. I noticed that there was only one other person in the wing and they had us at opposite ends so we did not bother each other. All in all, a very nice experience.

Hotel was fairly dated, but clean. Priced appropriately. On site entertainment was good (there is an indoor/outdoor bar/tavern with bands, trivia, food, etc. There is a nice covered carport that can house about a dozen or so motorcycles, which was convenient.

The view while in this lodge was absolutely beautiful, you can see mountains from every angle and they had sitting areas alongside a stream. Theres a great restaurant downstair with a bar, great vibe and food, friendly staff.

This was an older property, but clean and convenient. The staff was friendly. It is a pet friendly place. We loved being on the river and close to so many restaurants. We enjoyed the on site tavern and music. Great for the price.

Stayed here for the weekend with friends. The rooms were spacious and clean. The little restaurant/bar was a huge plus and had live music Friday night. We will definitely stay here next time we are in the area.
