Aloft by Marriott Austin South

Nice hotel right off 35. Close to downtown and Congress Street. Rooms were clean. They had a nice, well equipped gym and the staff was friendly and responsive.

The property was easy to access from the highway. Eating places are accessible and close to this hotel. Property was clean and staff was nice. They have a nice area to play pool and a few games. We enjoyed playing pool. I would recommend.

I stayed at the Aloft with my 3 sisters. This is a great and safe hotel. Sam was so great with helping us check in she made the reservation check in process so easy. The staff was so accommodating and the lounge was a cool place to hang when we didn’t want to go hang out at 6th street. The lounge has a full bar with a small food selection. We enjoyed the large connect 4 and jigsaw game. The pool table was a plus which we truly enjoyed. The pool was super because I love a pool that is not super chlorine. The experience was awesome.

Need a bigger parking lot

Clean, modern hotel with fun decor, pool and large lobby. Nice staff. The only downside is whole location conveniently located to surrounding activities you will hear some highway traffic in room. Breakfast very minimal.

Gods location for me. Would’ve been nice to have a little store for essentials I didn’t use the pool but it looked nasty

Facility is great; however, the parking lot is entirely too small for this location. We got back to the property and 10 pm and had to drive in circles to find a parking spot. People had to park on the side of the road some even parked on the curb and lawn because there wasn’t parking.

Very clean property and the hotel staff is very friendly. They definitely had more guests than they do parking spots as the lot gets completely full to the point where you are having to park your vehicle in non-parking spaces. To be fair I went during a holiday weekend so may not be an issue for most. The staff was more than willing in helping you find a place to park so you wouldn’t obstruct others from leaving their parking space. Would definitely stay here again.

I enjoy staying at this particular A Loft hotel. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. The hotel is pet friendly and have several areas designated as pet relief areas. They have nibbles and the bar is very fun. Nice pool, free parking, very close to many different activities.

Everything was beautiful, clean, and great service. Only one concern, the area that the hotel is located at seems a touch sketchy.

We enjoyed the stay. We were there for a concert so it was a short stay, but room.was nice and bed was confortable. The room was clean.

Our bedsheets were dirty and we didn’t notice until the morning. The stain appeared to be blood. I have a picture.

i enjoyed my stay at aloft, the staff was friendly and my room was clean. the property surroundings is okay, but its required to have a key card to enter the building which made it feel safer to stay.

Beware of proximity to highway. My room faced the main roads and the room was SO loud. Little barrier or noise cancellation. Overall, floors were also sticky and room was humid. TV would turn on for about five minutes and then shut off.

Very clean and nice hotel . But they don't put the microwave inside hotel room so it's not convenient for any family with kids staying. The hotel located at one way traffic so it's hard to find out a good way to get out sometimes. Staffs are very friendly and professional.

This is one of my favorite places to stay when visiting Austin. The hotel has nice, modern decor, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. I really appreciate the fact that only people who have a key card can enter the building at all times. It always makes me feel very safe! Because the hotel is located right by the highway, traffic can be very loud if you're placed in a room that faces that direction, so I'd advise asking to be given a room in a different area if you're a light sleeper. The noise is never an issue for me personally. The Wi-Fi can be spotty, so the TV in your room will not always be able to stream things like YouTube or Netflix, but it's never too much of an issue since they have great movie channels available. I will continue to stay here in the future!

The rooms are lovely. It's a little loud being right next to 35 but we knew that when we booked it. It was clean, the staff was nice. Coffee was delicious. Would stay again for sure.

Great room, very clean, but I could hear the road noise from the highway. My suggestion is request a room that doesn’t face the highway. This was an affordable option at a great location. The design of the rooms were very thoughtful and spacious.

Enjoyed our brief stay - in general I like ALoft hotels a lot. My only problem this time was that in our original room we heard way too much traffic noise - seems quite loud to us. However, staff was super helpful and allowed us to change rooms and it was perfect. For this reason I am still giving 4 star rating. Super clean, super comfy bed. I loved the gym - much much nicer than most hotel fitness facilities. I’d definitely stay again!

I stayed in a single King size room and it was a really bad experience. The room itself was really small. Even the bed seemed small for a king size. There was no closet. Instead they had some funky Ikea book shelf thing that you could hang your clothes on. The room I was in had a really leaky air-conditioned that we discovered after we stepped into a huge puddle on the floor. The staff was really nice and relocated us to a room that was facing the freeway. The road noise was so loud it felt like we had a window open. We couldn't sleep. I booked another room at a different hotel for our second night.

The bed was very comfortable. The problem was the outside noise from the vehicles in the area, on the highway woke me about 3 times during the night. Possibly installing other windows would help or a better sealant on the windows to drown out the noise. For this reason, I will not book this place again.

Stop overpricing yoyr rooms..they're not that great and you offer nothing for breakfast and not even an in room microwave..no space to put clothes so youll be living out your suitcase during your stay-which is always super fantastic. The water pressurewaa non existent so getting the conditioner out of my hair took a morning, nk where for me to put my leg while shaving and the tiny soal dish didnt really cut it for needing sonewhere yo pyt my other shower items so it made showering difficult and uncomfortable and ruined every morning having to deal with that. Room service knocked on my door super early for what..who knows..to piss me off more i guess. Asking if i need towels or trash removed..umm no i got there after 11pm and hadnt even had time to generate trash or dirty towels! And stop asking for tips, we already pay too much as it is and you want sonething extra for doing a job you get paid for..totally insane thinking and behavior..I'll never tip a room cleaner that's literally their job and they get compensated already if that not enough they should take that up with the greedy corporations not the consumer whos already overpaying and getting underserviced!

The value and cleanliness of this location was very awesome. However, the location it is in is very noisy from the interstates right by it. You could hear the noise clearly in the room and great I sleep fast and hard. The room amenities were fabulous, chargers everywhere for my cameras and other gadgets.

Aloft is always a favorite of ours! The only thing i dislike is the size of the rooms, so tiny.

The property was nice and clean but when I checked in, there were no keys available at the time of check in. Desk agent said we would get keys in 20-30 minutes after check in and that the manager was out getting keys. I could never leave my room since I did not have a key and did not feel safe. I never received a key during my time if stay and front desk said nothing could be done to help with any compensation.

When I arrived for my check in they took 30-40 minutes because my room was not ready.

Well when I got to my room the TV didn't work and when I called downstairs the person said oh yeah I knew that. I said if you knew that why didn't you tell me that because it's kind of important to me on my stay. She said it's okay we knew that yet yesterday and I'll give you a room credit you want to ask how much is a room credit she said I don't know you can find out tomorrow.. I went down the next day and they said oh there's nothing in the computer but will move your room and you'll have to complain because you booked through a third party and you'll get a free room after they contact the hotel.

I like the overall concept for the hotel, and like anything new, there are some rough edges still. Laundry facility not available though advertised, staff not well trained and not really friendly (one beyond unfriendly to rude), and staff didn't seem sure of what they could and couldn't do and how to do it.

I had a wonderful stay at the Aloft Austin South. The rooms are modern and clean with many electrical power and lighting options. The bathroom is great and behind the bed so not visible while people may be in the bed. The banquette bench and table situation is perfect. It\'s just a very comfortable room that has many places to sit and different ways you can use it. For me the hotel really shined in the customer service department. I had booked a room for one night and left pretty early in the morning to catch a flight that I ended up missing, keeping me in town an extra night. I called the hotel and asked "If I was to book that extra night at their hotel would I be allowed to finish up the reservation I had already just terminated and just stay for the whole time?" They immediately said yes and so I did that and it was so wonderful to be able at that early hour to go right back to the hotel and have the room for a long time, instead of having to find some place to go for 9 hours with my luggage until a room was ready. Their immediate willingness to do this and the fact that was also so easy to actually get it done really really made that second day much less stressful for me. It\'s in a great location and I will definitely stay at this property many times in the future when I visit my family in Austin!

Shamika was absolutely fantastic, helpful, and professional. I had accidentally booked the wrong date through Expedia, and she very patiently helped me get the entire situation settled after a stressful day of traveling. I was so grateful for her. The rest of the staff was also very courteous and polite. The rooms were also clean and nice, and I would travel here again.

The hotel itself was clean and pleasant. The beds were extremely comfortable! The hotel is next to the freeway, and the neighborhood is sparse. I went downstairs later in the evening to find several police officers in the lobby. Apparently someone had trespassed into the swimming pool area, so that didn’t inspire much confidence in overall safety. I am glad that staff called law enforcement, though. Bottom line: I saved a lot of money staying here instead of downtown, and it was okay for one night, but I wouldn’t stay longer.

Hotel and service was great. The girls who checked up in and out were very nice and friendly. The hotel itself was nice on the inside and seemed clean and cozy. The only issue is that it’s right by a freeway and way to many homeless people outside roaming around the parking lot. We had one homeless man walk in front of our car while we were entering the parking lot of the hotel and he came to my side door on the passenger side and tried opening my door! Then there was another homeless person walking around the parking lot looking inside the cars. They said they had security but we never saw them. We were scared are our car was going to be broken into. We would definitely stay at another aloft hotel but definitely not this location due to so many homeless people in the area. Especially having one trying to open our car door while driving was really scary.

I've stayed here more than once. The property is very clean and has a modern feel. I like that it's close to 71 and 35 highways. Such a nice, cozy, easy place!

Great location. Easy to get to downtown and FREE parking. Very modern and efficient. Also close to several Brewpubs, which I always search out while traveling.

If you want to experience post apocalyptic Austin, this is the place. You will be greeted by a homeless encampment with stray dogs . As you approach the hotel, you will have to be buzzed in, to keep the premise “secure”. As you come and go in the parking lot, Tweakers abound as well as half naked men urinating on trees. Sirens all night. Could not sleep! Worst ALOFT ever!

Location was very convenient

The property itself is fine the area around the property is known to have many transients and is not the safest area but overall my experience was good.

The value and cleanliness of this location was very awesome. However, the location it is in is very noisy from the interstates right by it. We stayed primarily due to WXYZ Lounge, but it was not open.

We selected the Aloft because of the WXYZ Lounge. Upon arrival at 5:45pm, it was closed. We were told that the bartender was stuck in traffic, and that it would open at 7:00.That never happened...

Ok service, breakfast menu sucks.

Great staff, the location of the hotel was a little noisy due to the freeway, we enjoyed the rooms and the hot freshly made breakfast in the morning.

I like the new upgraded Aloft. More room and a little classier than the prior iterations I have stayed at. Only complaint is the breakfast option - very bad. Disappointing.

Great - spacious, big windows, polite staff, nice beds, cozy feel. Bad - No breakfast, loud traffic.

Very nice hotel. Service very nice. I like to unpack- only 2 drawers. Bar/ restaurant not open for lunch. Trouble with internet in phones and computer.

When I checked in I was assured the bar would be open at 5. I dressed up and came down at 5 and was told the bartender called in sick and the bar would not be open that night. I had to go out in a torrential rain storm and drive to get something to eat and drink. That is not what I expect from this brand.

Breakfast was inconvenient and the choices were very limited.
