My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. It has affordable access to Sydney CBD while also maintaining a level of luxury. It had an accessible gym, various parking, room for kitchen, refrigerator and various spots for hanging our clothes. Our room was also maintained by the cleaners while we were away and kept the place neat and tidy for us. It was an exceptional stress free stay thanks to everyone involved at Veriu in Green Square.

The property is very nice and modern. I loved the setup of the room. All the furnishings seemed new. The hotel is also very conveniently located next to the Green Square train station which made it easier for me to visit Sydney landmarks leaving my car in the hotel parking which was a great benefit. The hotel gym was great for a quick morning workout. The hotel staff were also considerate enough to let me leave my car in the parking for a few extra hours after checkout for no extra cost.

Average at best… this hotel advertises itself as ‘perfect for longer stays’ yet the rooms are definitely not set up for long stays! The camera lies, the rooms especially the kitchen area, are a lot smaller than implied in the photos. There is next to no storage for clothes, four coat hangers in a tiny cubby by the door and one shelf for additional items, no suitcase storage either, not that you could unpack even if there was, as there is nowhere to put your belongings! The kitchen area was useful, but poorly appointed, a strange combo of two big stock pots and a saucepan, but no frying pan! We tried using the dishwasher, the dishes came out dirtier than they went in! The air conditioner in our room didn’t work properly, and although someone came to look at it, it wasn’t fixed for the duration of the stay. We were offered a room swap, but the thought of moving all our stuff was more than we could be bothered with. The ‘daily’ housekeeping was more ‘on request’, most days I had to ask for the bins to be emptied and the towels refreshed! The one day I didn’t ask, it didn’t get done!! Positives; on site laundry was good and not overly expensive. Location is brilliant to get from the airport and also into the city centre.

Really enjoyed the property, it was very clean and the size of the room was excellent. The bed was comfy and big. Great to have a small kitchen attached with a decent size fridge. Bathroom was lovely. Only downside was zero room service and the restaurant attached to hotel, you could not charge to your room or put down prepayment for meals as we had a big group and they split up for meals ie some stayed at the hotel restaurant and some went to restaurant near by. Laundry was handy at hotel and the gym as well. Excellent location to the Green Square translation, with local restaurants near by and a Woolworths. Overall stay excellent. I would come here again, nice and close to airport.

Great rooms, lovely and clean but they Advertised restaurant on site and breakfast available but the restaurant was not operating and there was no breakfast available. It was over the Easter weekend so not easy to find places open nearby. Very disappointing.

Property was lovely and clean. It was just a short 3-4 minute walk to the green square train station which means getting to and from the airport is so easy! The only gripes that I have is the café downstairs was mediocre and to do the clothes washing, you had to go down to the ground floor and then walk up a flight of stairs to access the laundry.

The metro station is a short walk from the hotel which was great! There’s also a lot of cafes close by although the area is quiet industrial. The hotel is new/modern and has a nice check in area with cafe but the room was not clean. There was a lot of dust and not cleaned properly (my room didn’t get cleaned at all while I was there for more than 2 nights). There were no hand towels provided either.

I didn’t realize housekeeping isn’t provided for stays under 7 days. They did make the bed daily, but no fresh towels. Other than that, everything was great! The hotel was modern, spacious, and visibly clean. Google Maps says it’s 4 minutes to Green Square Station, but it’s really just 2 or less. There’s a laundromat and grocery stores a little further up from the station. Everyone at the front desk was nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: location 3 minutes from the Green Square train station with great access to airport (2 stops domestic and 3 stops international) and CBD (4 stops to Circular Quay for Sydney Opera house, etc.). Friendly and helpful staff, thank you Alexander for your help at check in! Comfortable bed. We stayed in a suite so just about enough room for 2 suitcases, etc. Would struggle in a smaller room if travelling with a lot of luggage like we were. Good shower and toiletries. The room was quiet, facing the hotel so no view but it was not an issue. Small kitchen in the room with hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher. Nespresso coffee machine. Safe in the room. Iron and ironing board. Cons: not many, but the kitchen area was a little bit in need of deeper cleaning. Not many restaurants around the hotel but as I mentioned it’s very easy to get into the city centre. There are a few options including a supermarket and fast food but we didn’t fancy it.

Great stay. Affordable for a family stay and quick and easy to get into the city- it’s right near Green Square train station. Only slight issue is the top bunk the kids slept in was squeeky whenever they moved. That wouldn’t stop me staying again. Thanks for a great stay!

My plans changed and I needed to change my stay. I was told rudely by the supervisor that I would need to talk to the Manager who was not in. When I spoke to the Manager about changing my booking after I had been there a few days, he said I would be charged for three additional days per hotel policy, but that I could request an exception to that. He said I would be contacted about it. They never contacted and I was charged the full amount of my planned stay. I have have stayed at hotels all over the world and have never encountered this policy nor been treated this way!

Room was good, toilet was clean. It’s just that the Check In staff was sarcastic when my daughter and her boyfriend mentioned the reason for their stay. They didn’t have to tell him that she just had surgery. Whatever the reason was, he just has to believe that and didn’t have to be sarcastic. He could have done much better.

At 10:02am - 2 minutes after check-out time, I got a knock on the door and the male reception staff rudely looked at his watch and rolled his eyes then walked away. I had my bag packed and was just about to walk out the door when I got this knock. Surely a hotel allows a minimum 10-15 minute allowance before shaming guests. Really put me off and I won't be coming back.

Great location being steps away from green square station, makes it perfect if you are staying in Sydney for a couple of nights and need to be close to both Domestic/International airport and the city. Pity the trains weren’t running to schedule as it’s right near Green Square station. A short walk to Woolies and BWS and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.
