Had a great stay here at this motel. The little things really made our stay feel superior. Top notch staff and amenities that are included. My list of amenities I really appreciated • Communication Easy texting service for questions and staff was so friendly at check in and even called to let us know of fire with s’mores wasn’t cancelled because of short staff (they couldn’t guarantee it at check in) I had a question about charges called back within an hour and easily resolved. Even called our friends to let them know they left an AirPod after we left. • Fire and s’mores nightly • Lobster decorative towels on the bed (so cute) • Cute vintage styled rooms and clean Includes microwave • Snacks and drinks available through the day/until front desk closes One night we were tired and thought about ordering food but remember they had snacks and went and got cereal and yogurt. I love this motel! The retro style theming is very cute. The rooms are spacious, very clean, look new, and very comfortable. They provide housekeeping every day and a delicious breakfast. The breakfast had a nice variety, including gluten-free muffins and bagels, which was very much appreciated. Everyone on the staff was extremely helpful and attentive. We enjoyed free smores by the fire and borrowed binoculars at no cost, very nice little extras that added to our trip. I can't wait to come back again!

This is a wonderful motel with a good breakfast buffet, well kept facilities, lots of programs, equipment, games and amenities. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of activities offered and the resources the motel provided. They provided smores almost every night, had charcoal and utensils for the grills, had trekking poles and insulated coolers to loan and a pool heated so you can dip-in even though its September in Northern New England. the room was well appointed and maintained, the lobby had lots of games to choose from a big screen TV that you were allowed to watch movies at and even a popcorn maker. It made it tough to leave for the day to do the things we came to do in Acadia. Highly recommended by us

The room was clean and quiet. The kids had a required pool- they were in it every day. Bar harbor motel is family orientated- the pool. Bocce ball. A playground. Hula hoops. Corn hole. Swings. Waffle ball. Badminton.picnic tables and grill All set up and free for everyone to use. Hiking trails. There was daily activities as well.

This motel is outstanding in every way. The rooms are modern, fresh and clean. The staff is very friendly, helpful and available. The amenities such as s’mores at night, do it yourself. trail mix packages, terrific free breakfast, games, available to take to your room, and the free local bus service that comes right to the hotel every half hour make this stayjust delightful.

The entire property has been completely renovated inside and out. It has a retro theme. We loved everything about our room, down to the rotary dial phone. Everything is so clean, Immaculate! Staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. Awesome Stay!!

Very clean and comfortable room. The rooms are set back from the main rd so it's very quiet.The grounds are spacious with places to sit around the evening firepit. The shuttle stops right out front saving the hassle of driving and parking in Bar Harbor. The breakfast is excellent. Although described as a continental breakfast, it's really an extensive buffet with bacon, eggs, sausage.

I'd strongly recommend Bar Harbor Motel as a place to stay, the rooms were spacious and clean, loved the shower other then the shower base being extremely slippery, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast that is offered with the room had plenty of choices. One of our most memorable places we stayed during our 2 week motorcycle trip. On a scale from 1-10 I'd rate it an 11.

This is a gem of a motel. We could tell immediately that they truly cared about making their customers feel comfortable during their stay. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. We stayed in a family suite, which was a great option for our family of four and allowed our older children to have their own beds. The breakfast had a lot of options and coffee and juice were available all day. Some equipment (like binoculars, folding chairs, etc.) could be checked out from the front desk. The property is well-maintained and clean. We highly recommend this motel!

Loved our stay at Bar Harbor Hotel! The only thing we didn’t like was the air conditioner didn’t not work properly. I would suggest adding a ductless splits and removing the old window ac units.

I booked a family suite and I suppose I haven't been in a motel in a long time. I found the rooms, especially the bathroom, to be quite cramped. at almost 300 a night after tax, it definitely is the most expensive motel I've ever been in. however, that's what you can expect here at bar harbor.. I think for a decent hotel expect to pay around 500 a night. on the bright side.. I found the rooms to be clean. the facility itself does have a small playground for the children. it's quite dark at night however, with little lighting. there isn't much to do here after the sun sets.

Bar Harbor Motel is by far the best property I've been to on any trip. Affordable for the area, convenient to Acadia without driving through much of Bar Harbor. My kid appreciated having his own bedroom. The breakfast was restaurant-worthy, not a typical continental breakfast. Laundry facilities were convenient. We checked out a day early and our last day was refunded, which I did not expect at all. I have recommended Bar Harbor Motel to all of my friends and family interested in Acadia National Park.

Our stay here was remarkable from the beginning. Staff greeted us with smiles. I signed the guest book at check in noting we were here celebrating my 40th birthday. The next morning they had left a gift for me on the table in our room. So sweet and above and beyond. They offer coolers, binoculars and some other things to borrow for free each day. Breakfast was great although it was a little crowded each morning. Cute space. Lots of options. Hot and cold. Fresh cut up fruit and blueberries. The rooms have been updated with super cute decor. We loved having the option for our family to have two rooms in one hotel room to be able to have our own space. Clean. Convenient location to both Acadia and Bar Harbor. Would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.

If I can give this place more than five stars overall, I would. A simple but cozy place inundated in nostalgia, the staff were extremely friendly. After we checked out, we received a phone call from them saying we forgot some of our belongings, and they mailed it to us! If that isn’t top-notch service, I don’t know what is. I’ll definitely stay with them again.

The location was great and there was something to do every day. The breakfast was good and the check in process was easy. Our shower didn't work and the staff was great about getting us into a different room. Would definitely stay here again!

The Bar Harbor motel was such a great spot to stay, and it was cheaper than some other places in town. The free shuttle stops right outside the hotel so you can easily get to downtown. Its a little outside of Bar Harbor so its not as accessible to stuff, but it was perfect for what we needed. The shuttle only runs until 9 pm, so plan accordingly!

Love this Motel! Convenient, comfortable friendly. This motel has a Retro upgrade to the whole property. Rooms and Bed were fresh and clean. A really nice breakfast selection and a convenient path to the Acadia Park. Extra bonus, a bus stops in front of the property to take you into and back from town. Awesome place. Well worth the price

This is a great family-friendly motel! The retro vibe is fun, and there's plenty to do both at the motel and in Bar Harbor. The only detraction for us was breakfast. The coffee is dispensed from a machine. While the selection of food was good, the fruit was still frozen and the pancakes had to be heated in the microwave. That said, we would happily stay there again and simply eat breakfast in town!

What a great place. Cute, clean, fresh. Evening activities. Best breakfast out of the 10 hotels we stayed at during this trip- not the same old blah grocery store “pastries”. Fresh fruit. Thanks for the Gluten Free breakfast goodies!
