Check in was easy, friendly and quick. Room was large, with kitchen, tv, air conditioning and bright bathroom- all functioning well. All linens were old, stained and worn out. One silverfish big in bed. Parking was easy, and our night was pleasant and quiet. Pool is clean and warm. Sauna locked closed.

The motel is just a few steps away from the beach. I love the picnic area, bbq, and the nightlights in the middle of the property. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The building needs an update but the condition isn't too crazy. Plenty of parking spots. The indoor pool and hot tub were in renovation so I could not use them. The e-scooters are on-site for rent. The mattresses were terrible. It was more than soft. I think the wire springs in the mattresses were broken.

We love how close it is to the beach. The AC in each room is great. The staff is helpful and always around during the day. However the age is starting to show. The rooms need some work as they feel old and tired. The beds need updating as they have no support anymore. The parking is unassigned and is first come each day.

Cleanliness wasn’t the greatest as sand and some grime was around the rooms when we checked in. Great location to Skaha beach and friendly staff albeit one older lady closed the office quite a few times and was sitting in the back and not as knowledgeable about the area as you’d expect front counter staff to be. Great BBQ area for evening relax time.

Some of the electrical outlets didn’t work. The tv didn’t work( which they did try to fix but didn’t work) the floor was absolutely filthy. We took a towel and wiped it and it came up black. Feel we deserve a refund and we’ll never stay there again. This is the second time we’ve stayed at one of the three motels and weren’t happen with any of them but last night was the topping on the cake!

If it wasn’t for the carpet in the room, I would have given a MUCH higher rating. Everything was very clean and in good condition. The carpet, however, was disgusting. Stained and dirty and really provided a more negative impression of the facility.

It’s a very old property. It would take very little to update it just a little. A new shower curtain would be a great start. I suppose it was clean but I wouldn’t walk around without shoes. Every piece of furniture was either thrifted or hasn’t been replaced since the 1970’s. The ONLY thing this place has going for it is location.

Location was amazing! The motel itself was really old/tired feeling. Room was spacious enough, and having a full refrigerator when visiting fruit country is a huge benefit. The A/C was really only limited to the bedroom though, and was very loud. Bedding was very slippery and kept needing adjustment through the night. Bathroom was incredibly small with a shower only and no tub.

The location is very quiet and walking distance to the park, beach, restaurants, coffee shops and a great pub. We had a room for two with a queen size bed and kitchenette. The only thing that would have made our stay more comfortable would be an upgrade to the mattress. The springs can be felt and are little squeaky. The price was very reasonable and we would stay there again.

The place is in a great location and rooms are spacious and well laid out. One complaint would be the beds are very uncomfortable. If those were to be upgraded this place is Amazing. Great dog friendly motel with a dog park right across the street. That was awesome.

Pros: Nicely renovated bathroom for the price of the room. Location is close to beach and has easy access to the highway and main roads. Good stay for the price. Cons: Room was very small. Took a bit to figure out the a/c. Wifi was good but no space to do work on computer except on the bed.

The Beachside Motel is in one of the more quiet areas of Penticton. The Skaha Lake with a clean sand beach and an enchanting view over the lake and on surrounding mountains is 150 m away - easy to walk on a road through the Skaha lake park. Free parking at the motel is available near the door to the room. The room is clean and everything is working fine. Thank you to the person who is cleaning the rooms once a day.

Great, dog friendly accomodations, steps from the beach. This is a good place to lay your head if you have reasonable expectations. Across the street, Fido can enjoy a lush and grassy off leash dog area. To make the stay more comfortable we always bring a few extra things from home like tea towels, paper towels and dish soap. The one bedroom suites are well equipped and look out onto a common courtyard, this space is well enjoyed by guests. Have stayed here year after year and my husband and I always leave happy.
