River Inn at Seaside

We brought our lab with us. He doesn’t like to walk on smooth flooring. The hotel attendant said no worries. Here’s your key there’s a side door. It’s carpeted. Your dog will be happy. Very nice place My son and my granddaughter enjoyed the bikes. Those are complementary.

Nice rooms. Elevator had a problem for a while. Very slow internet. Breakfast was standard but good.

Nice pool and hot tub. Clean spacious room. Good location, decent breakfast. Good for families and those with pets.

Parking was tough. If we got back late there would be only tight spots available. Overall though our stay was very pleasant and care free. Strongly suggest bringing s’mores goodies for the fire pit at night. We will definitely be coming back.

Entire stay was great, only thing to mention is the hot tube seemed like it could use more attention.

Parking lot is tight if you own a full size truck. Everything else was great.

Nice staff, good breakfast, and clean room. The fire pits by the river were cool, and there was a nice game room with ping pong, chess and jenga. The pool was large and clean and a good temperature for swimming.

This is our first time staying in Seaside, Oregon and this is my first time staying at the River Inn at Seaside. I picked this hotel based on popular reviews being rated a 9 out 10 and it is definitely 9 out of 10. I would give it a 10 out of 10 if the elevator was working top notch, but it makes my guests and other hotel guests a lil nervous. The suites are super nice and spacious and the beds are so comfy, i woke up this morning forgetting i was even in the hotel. This is the first hotel i have ever stayed in which they provide plenty of shampoo and conditoner if you forget to bring your own, and there is plenty of hot water for a nice hot shower. Also the pool and spa are fantastic, the pool is much larger than other pools and goes to 5ft deep and the hot tub is spacious enough to fit 6 people. They also have propane fire pits running at night which is awesome, can enjoy the warmth of a fire under the moonlight. The only other reason i wouldnt give it a 10 out of 10 is the parking lot is very tight, great for cars, but not at all ideal for big trucks like mine that is a crew cab standard bed which has some length to it. It would be a nightmare to try to get out of the parking lot at all if you had one with an 8ft bed. But if you have a car and the elevator is good to you, then an easy 10 out of 10. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located in walking distance from the Seaside downtown which is nice. The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful. The rooms looked like they were renovated, fresh paint on the walls. One thing I did not appreciate is the hair in the bathroom floor and tub as well as under one of the bed sheets. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was cold and impersonal. Staff barely acknowledged us, and any interaction felt like an inconvenience to them. The cleanliness throughout the property was lacking. The elevator was dirty and visibly scratched up, setting a poor tone early on. While the rooms appear to have had some decor updates, they were not clean. The windows were so stained with sea spray that we couldn’t see through them, and there were black fingerprints all over the glass. The screen was bent and held together with electrical tape — very unprofessional. The biggest issue was the bed. When we checked it, we found the mattress cover full of pet hair, human hair, and other debris. It was extremely off-putting and made us question the overall hygiene standards of the hotel. Breakfast was another letdown. While they offered a variety of options, everything lacked freshness, and there were very few gluten-free choices available. It was, unfortunately, the worst breakfast experience we’ve had at a hotel in quite some time. We really wanted to enjoy our stay, but the lack of care and attention to detail made it impossible. We would not stay here again and cannot recommend it.

Not a bad stay, but I won't be back. The good: price, location ( walking distance to beach), and great water pressure. The bad: staff was unhelpful and inattentive, breakfast was aweful (pastries, waffles, and cereal, a nightmare for someone with celiacs), lumpy and hard beds, moldy hottub, moldy balconies... the list goes on.

Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, they offered decent options including yogurts, avocado spread, bagels & toast, biscuits & sausage gravy and you can make your own waffles. They offer 2 fire pits that they turn on every night at 6pm. The location is very central, we were able to walk to the water and then head out for dinner! Definitely would recommend this place & would come back. Next time, I’d like the river view, however we did get a nice sunrise on the parking lot side!

Other than dog poop in the stairway, bugs crawling on the beds and a cloudy pool, I guess it could have been worse.

The room was clean, which we appreciated, but everything felt very outdated—from the furniture to the overall decor. The location was great and the staff was friendly, but the hotel could really use some updating to feel more comfortable and modern. Decent for a short stay, but not sure we’d come back unless it’s renovated.

Staff was friendly, housekeeping helpfull. River view was nice .But the beds were rock hard. Fresh baked cookies nightly were nice little dessert.

The staff was friendly and the room was clean. However the walls are not well insulated and we could hear a group of young people next door talking and laughing. After being on the road all day, it was disappointing to have to deal with the noise.

We had a very nice overnight here! We arrived early for check-in, but the front desk clerk was super sweet and gave us a room anyway. The room was very pleasant and had a little balcony overlooking the river. There’s a nice pool and hot tub, and fire pits with seating in the back yard. They serve fresh cookies in the evening and a small breakfast in the morning. The property is within easy walking district of Broadway and the Prom. I highly recommend!

Rooms were a bit small but the river view was excellent

The beds were supposed to be queen size, however they were full size.

Close to town and beach. Great large room for 3 guests.

Have stayed there a half dozen times and will be back again next year, undoubtably. Only issue was the new bizarre tv system; it’s a mess. Would prefer a few basic channels than something trying to be all things

So I go here a couple times every year and I've never had a problem they always let us in early due to the fact that I'm disabled and now they got some new worker with a big black beard and black hair that was very rude and inconsiderate and told me that I could not get in early and that I had to wait till 4:00 and I even told him that they let people in early all the time and he was very rude second shift gentleman I complained to him he told me and he told me that he looked in the computer and that my room was already ready at 2:45 I showed up and called at 2:50 and it ruined our whole trip he told us to come back at 4:00 yet he yet let other people in early

This is our usual go to hotel over the years for Seaside. We’re always satisfied with the cleanliness, location, and helpful staff. However, we were surprised to discover that housekeeping is now on a request only basis as our beds were not made when we returned to our room the evening of our second night stay. The staff did not hesitate to bring us fresh bath towels when we called to see if housekeeping had missed our room. Hopefully the new housekeeping by request only policy can be better communicated to guests to level set expectations.

We had the nicest night in Seaside. The staff were all so kind and helpful and check in was a breeze! Such a treat to stay here!

The gentleman who checked us in was excellent!! He made the experience easy, smooth and was very knowledgeable of dining options close by! He also went the extra mile by coming outside to show us the actual locations of his suggestions. A GREAT EXPERIENCE - thank you

The front desk staff were very nice. The maid service didn’t exist. We asked for products that were empty in the room and never got them. The maid never came into change towels we requested. On the last day before we checked out around 9:00, the maid finally came into the room while I was dressing and she never knocked. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional.

Came here for the Labor Day weekend. We are a family of 5, breakfast and stay was good. Pet friendly. So far the best house keeping in seaside.

A great stay. We were about five small blocks to the promenade and right on the river. Room was clean. Breakfast was nice. Firepits and playground outside were an extra touch. Cookies served in the evening. We’d stay here again. A great alternative to the craziness of Cannon Beach and only a short eight mile drive to Cannon Beach.

The room we stayed in was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The staff was nice and helpful. The only things that I would complain about would be the noise at night, other rooms were very loud and it was hard to sleep sometimes. Also, the breakfast was the same everyday.

Very comfortable stay. Was centrally located for our trips up and down the coast. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. The beach a little bit of a walk but walkable none the less.

This location is an easy walk to the beach, restaurant, stores, and entertainment. The hotel is dog friendly. Our room had a balcony and nice view of the river. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.

Usually don’t stay in Seaside an opt instead for Cannon or Manzanita. In this case, we decided to stay a night in Seaside and the River Inn was lovely. Very clean very well managed. The room was awesome. The location was off the strip, but still very close to the action. Was so pleasantly surprised Would absolutely stay again.

Good location within 5 -10 minute walk of beach and primary shopping area. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was provided but very basic. Overall a very pleasant 4 day stay and we would definitely go back again.

Great hotel. Stayed here about 5 times. Breakfast is delicious, the Belgian waffles are my kids favorite! Walking distance everywhere!

Room was clean. We didn’t have much interaction with the staff but they seemed nice. Breakfast was minimal but coffee was good. Outdoor fire pit area was a nice place to hang out. I would say this place was pretty decent and clean but definitely not worth 320 a night.

Wasn’t what we expected. Was pet friendly and the dog welcome basket was nice. The furniture is very worn. It looks like it has been repainted. There is an awful tacky feel on the desk and other storage unit. The beds are missing headboards so your pillows slide down behind the bed. It’s a little more cramped in the room than I expected. The staff is nice but the breakfast is lacking. No protein options except hard boiled eggs. Location was nice. Pool is small and loud.

I liked the location and breakfast was alright, could have more options but I did like it.

From the arrival to the hotel, the hotel had a very calm and welcoming environment. The staff were all courteous, respectful, and prompt with the check in process. The hotel room was very clean and had plenty of towels. Clean smelling bedsheets and comfortable beds. AC and heater worked very well. My favorite thing overall was the continental breakfast. There was one staff person operating the whole thing and continuously replenishing food items as soon as they ran out. Huge kudos to her for dealing with all over 20 people being there at once as the breakfast space and seating was a little small, but very well stacked with different food options. When I was there for 2 nights, there were bagels (toaster present), coffee, biscuits & gravy (hot), two waffle makers, milk, OJ, fruits, and cute little muffins. Overall I would definitely return to this hotel in Seaside!
