Never seen or stayed in such a spotless room. Bed linens, bathroom, dressing area, windows, blinds, everything amazingly clean and neat. Would give a plus plus rating and recommend to all going to the Port Hope area. Lovely downtown with multiple choices of restaurants. Don't snooze anywhere else and miss out on this one!

Stayed here at few night for some salmon fishing on the Ganny. All the past reviews where accurate...rooms are simple...clean and comfortable. You could tell just by the parking lot this place is very well maintained...newly painted lines and lot was recently sealed....might just be me...but you can tell alot about a olace or someone by how they maintain their property.

Old school style drive up motel, but with modern, updated rooms. Reasonably priced. Very clean. Comfortable: wifi worked well, plenty of hot water, easy parking. Friendly owner. Tim’s is a short drive away, as well as other restaurants. Great place to stop in Port Hope. We would stay there again.

A superior experience of modest right-off-the-highway lodging. Immaculate, renovated room with brand new refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine; parking outside the door; great bed, quality bedding and towels; shiny bathroom. In warmer weather I might have taken my coffee to the picnic table outside. Right off the highway in the middle of nowhere, but two minutes drive to a friendly Tim Horton’s for breakfast. Best of all, owned and run by a lovely, friendly couple who do all the cleaning, preparation, and renovations themselves and take personal pride in the experience of their guests. When I was getting sleepy on my long drive from New Hampshire to Toronto and pulled my into the parking lot of a chain hotel, my daughter made me promise that I wouldn’t bring her bedbugs from a cheap motel. So I checked the reviews on Orbitz and drove another thirty miles to this budget motel. What a pleasure. The best value in a highway overnight in a quarter century!

These owners have done a great job of making this a nice modern motel. Nicely renovated and very clean. There were a few hairs in the tub and the mattress is a wee bit on the harder side. I would absolutely stay there a again.

Friendly helpful staff. Room clean. Beds perfect. Bedding clean. My suggestions the towels even though clean they are dingy looking. New ones would improve the room or put a whitener in the wash. Also a safty bar in the shower would be nice for seniors like us and kids too. Location is close to many amenities.. Recommend and will stay again next time in the area!!!

We travelled on September 2024 and needed a place to spend the night and found this gem. The owners were very friendly and told us they renovated/updated the rooms on their own. The room was clean, everything was perfect. I can say that I slept like a baby, as the mattress was super comfy. My only regret is to not ask what brand it was. I strongly recommend!

Wonderful place for a night or two (or even more). We were in town for the film festival and this spot was a short drive away. Very clean, quiet and looked to be recently updated. The fellow who checked us in was friendly and helpful. Had everything we needed including micro and fridge. More than happy to recommend, and will be staying there again if I am in the area.

I had a very short stay at this property, but was 100% impressed: the owner greeted me on my late arrival, and put me in a very new-seeming room. It was clean, warm, comfortable, and anything I would have wanted was close to hand. New mattress, nice sheets and towels, coffee maker, fridge and microwave were all highly functional and convenient. Excellent value.

Super clean motel completely modernized eith new furnishings with everything you could need, USB chargers everywhere, lots of plugs, fridge, microwave, all good plumbing and new hardware. All of it run by a wonderful husband and wife team. So proud of them, excellent work!

This was a 2nd time of staying here. Unfortunately, the temperature dropped drastically the night before we arrived & the manager forgot to turn on the heat in our unit the morning of our arrival in the late afternoon. It took a long time before our unit reached a proper temperature and we felt warm & comfortable.

First time staying in a motel with my husband for 2 nights. The staff and owner are very helpful. We were allowed to change our room upon check-in with no problem. After we checked out the owner left a message on my cell informing me that I forgot my earphone. How thoughtful of him! Thanks. The room where we stayed was very quiet. The place and its surroundings are very clean. We will stay there again when we are in Port Hope.

Perfect spot along the 401 in Port Hope. We stayed here while attending a wedding nearby. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and the owner was kind and accommodating of our early arrival.

On a positive note, the owner was very accommodating and the room was clean. We felt the price was way too high ( $200 tax ) for a hotel out in the sticks with absolutely no amenities and no breakfast. Dining locations are 2-3 km away. We will not be back.

Old school style drive up motel, but with modern, updated rooms. Reasonably priced. Very clean. Comfortable: wifi worked well, plenty of hot water, easy parking. Friendly owner. Tim’s is a short drive away, as well as other restaurants. Great place to stop in Port Hope. We would stay there again.

A superior experience of modest right-off-the-highway lodging. Immaculate, renovated room with brand new refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine; parking outside the door; great bed, quality bedding and towels; shiny bathroom. In warmer weather I might have taken my coffee to the picnic table outside. Right off the highway in the middle of nowhere, but two minutes drive to a friendly Tim Horton’s for breakfast. Best of all, owned and run by a lovely, friendly couple who do all the cleaning, preparation, and renovations themselves and take personal pride in the experience of their guests. When I was getting sleepy on my long drive from New Hampshire to Toronto and pulled my into the parking lot of a chain hotel, my daughter made me promise that I wouldn’t bring her bedbugs from a cheap motel. So I checked the reviews on Orbitz and drove another thirty miles to this budget motel. What a pleasure. The best value in a highway overnight in a quarter century!

It was clean enough apart for the flies but owner and other family kept looking in the window of our room then phoned to ask if there were more people in our room which was ridiculous the owner is a very rude woman and has a terrible manner to be in any business dealing with the public. I certainly would never stay there again.
