A historic structure upgraded just enough with modern touches for comfort yet retaining it's old world charm and character. Comfortable common area where you can view many antique artifacts while enjoying coffee anytime of the day. A quiet outdoor patio cleverly hidden at rear with unmarked access via rear common area, easily unnoticed. Not only is it pet friendly, pets may wander freely enjoying the playful company of the resident pet, Patrick.Comfortable beds. Easily accessible showers, though I would suggest bath stools be provided for those with mobility issues. Very little English spoken by staff, however that did not hamper good service. Room service meals provided, however I wouldn't reccomend it as the meals are delivered from restaurant adjacent to hotel and the breakfast we ordered was rather cold. Convenient location in Zona Centro. Taxi transportation readily available and very affordable. Only a few blocks to shopping and square. Sidewalks are in fair condition however neither wheelchair or mobility scooter friendly with many obstructions and poorly constructed wheelchair ramps. I highly recommend this quiant hotel.

This is my favorite place to stay now when I go. It's not fancy because it's colonial, unique, and nostalgic of the olden times. Staff is genuine, friendly and remember you from year to year. This place feels like home as it has several places to hang outside of your room - dining too! Best place to stay centrally too as it's close to everything within walking distance, and it's a great spot to meet locals too to do anything touristy too. Hector, Mari Cruz & Carolina are the best!! The hotel dog Patrick is an extra homey feel to the place. Love Posada San Agustin! Fun fact - it used to be a hospital in the past, and many of us were born there! The history of this building is just fascinating, and you can't get that from any Americanized hotel chain. The only minus is there is no restaurant, but Casablanca (their sister hotel) is closeby and they even do room service from them.

Los baños llenos de moho, las toallas viejas, percudidas y con olor a humedad. El hotel es pet frienly pero hay un perritollamadonpatrick que orina en todos lados y el lobby huele a orines de perro. Las tazas del café las lavan en el lavabo del baño. Esta vez no me gusto!.

Lo mejor su personal atento y amable, la limpieza, ubicación inmejorable, cerca de todo , a pie o en auto, puede mejorar quizá el modernizar un poco el mobiliario de alguna habitación , pero la verdad es secundario, se compensa con todo lo demás, nos reciben con nuestra mascota y ni parece que estén , jamás un mal olor o sucio, siempre impecable, no dudo en recomendarlo

This hotel is really nice with lots of antiques to make it unique. The only problem is the WiFi didn’t work in my room. If really need the WiFi that is a big beautiful courtyard in the middle with WiFi.

The rooms face a gorgeous internal courtyard and, depending on location, a beautiful church across the street. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Location is perfect, short walk to the cathedral. Rooms are basic but have everything you need. I absolutely loved this place, would definitely stay again.

Fantastic hotel in a charming colonial mansion! The staff were super friendly and helpful. Beds were on the firm side, but rooms are very well air conditioned for comfort. The hotel itself is on the western side of "Zona Central" and there are a lot of different restaurants, convenience stores and places of interest within walking distance. I do caution against staying here if you don\'t like noise, as there is a cathedral next door that rings it\'s bells every morning starting around 0700. There is also a hotel dog, Patrick, who is very friendly and loves pets!

Exclusivamente no me gustó que el aire acondicionado de la habitación 32 se botaba la pastilla del braker y se apagaba el aire. En la habitación 1 el aire funcionaba perfecto, pero pedí el cambio porque al estar cerca de recepción, me despertaban los huéspedes que llegaban tarde a dormir.

My Canadian family was hosted here for my wedding. They enjoyed the open public area at the Center of the hotel, this area was the perfect space for the kids to play and the adults to socialize. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially with being so flexible with adding extra nights. The location was perfect for walking distance to the plazas, shopping and other touristic things. The only complaint is the rooms closest to the road are very noisy, but the rooms on the other side are much more quiet. The ambience, hospitality, and charm were perfect for getting ready there the day of my wedding. Thank you for everything! Love from Canada

This is an old casona converted into a hotel. My room was on the interior of the courtyard. I had to be moved because the wi-fi signal didn’t reach the back area. I was moved to the front closer to the reception desk. Otherwise it was clean and well situated in the center of most things you might want to do in downtown Durango. Also I didn’t care for the overly friendly dog “Patrick” who had a need for human contact by rubbing up against my leg and a penchant for peeing in the courtyard. Bleh.

We had a comfortable stay, posada is a charming, colonial hotel in an excellent location. Front desk Hector was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. He made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back at this hotel.

Amazing Hospitality! Such a beautiful colonial building. The rooms are very simple and old, BUT after the initial impression we made it our own. I always travel with my own pillow. If I had forgotten it, I would have been fine. Great pillows and mattress! The shower was very quick to heat up and get us on our way. Ana Luisa and all of her staff were warm, accommodating, knowledgeable and so happy to help. You can walk either direction from the entrance to get to all of the highlights of the city. We can’t wait to return! Thank you! ❤️

This is a beautiful property in a very good location. The greeter looked through his Expedia receipts and told me very definitely that we didn't have a reservation. I had to get out my email confirmation and show it to someone else to get a room. That was not a great welcome. Then the same man tried to give us a room on the street--which is very noisy. He quickly changed that upon request but why? Then they only give one key for the room. Then the wi-fi doesn't work in the room. They have some things to work on.

Está localizado a una cuadra de catedral, todo lo hicimos a pie. El personal del hotel fué muy amable al recibirnos, nos sentimos como en casa, es la segunda vez que visitamos este Hotel.

The rooms face a gorgeous internal courtyard and, depending on location, a beautiful church across the street. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Location is perfect, short walk to the cathedral. Rooms are basic but have everything you need. I absolutely loved this place, would definitely stay again.

This is my favorite place to stay now when I go. It's not fancy because it's colonial, unique, and nostalgic of the olden times. Staff is genuine, friendly and remember you from year to year. This place feels like home as it has several places to hang outside of your room - dining too! Best place to stay centrally too as it's close to everything within walking distance, and it's a great spot to meet locals too to do anything touristy too. Hector, Mari Cruz & Carolina are the best!! The hotel dog Patrick is an extra homey feel to the place. Love Posada San Agustin! Fun fact - it used to be a hospital in the past, and many of us were born there! The history of this building is just fascinating, and you can't get that from any Americanized hotel chain. The only minus is there is no restaurant, but Casablanca (their sister hotel) is closeby and they even do room service from them.

A historic structure upgraded just enough with modern touches for comfort yet retaining it's old world charm and character. Comfortable common area where you can view many antique artifacts while enjoying coffee anytime of the day. A quiet outdoor patio cleverly hidden at rear with unmarked access via rear common area, easily unnoticed. Not only is it pet friendly, pets may wander freely enjoying the playful company of the resident pet, Patrick.Comfortable beds. Easily accessible showers, though I would suggest bath stools be provided for those with mobility issues. Very little English spoken by staff, however that did not hamper good service. Room service meals provided, however I wouldn't reccomend it as the meals are delivered from restaurant adjacent to hotel and the breakfast we ordered was rather cold. Convenient location in Zona Centro. Taxi transportation readily available and very affordable. Only a few blocks to shopping and square. Sidewalks are in fair condition however neither wheelchair or mobility scooter friendly with many obstructions and poorly constructed wheelchair ramps. I highly recommend this quiant hotel.
