There are two factors about this hotel that stood out: 1. It is in a very convenient central location, but it is not noisy. 2. There is a very peaceful courtyard with a fountain, plants and tables. It provides a great place for one to grab some drinks and relax. Two downsides: 1. The rooms do not have fridges. 2. Breakfast does not have many Western options. Overall, this is a great hotel. I would consider staying here again in the event that I return to Oaxaca.

I want to think this Hotel and the staff especially to Carmen. She picked me up from the airport. She was on time very friendly lady. I got attached to her very quickly. I love this hotel and I will definitely come back. It’s beautiful. I really recommend this place please ask for Carmen. She helps out with the tour And if you need a ride back to the airport, she will definitely help you out. Thank you so much for your hospitality Hotel Trebol. I will be coming back soon. I love everything about you guys.

The breakfast was very good, the waitress was very friendly and helpful. The people at the next room were loud and drunk. I called the office and nobody answered. I went to the office and nobody was there except for a guy sleeping by the door with a vicious dog next to him. I was afraid the dog would wake up and attack me. Never again Trebol hotel.

This friendly hotel is right in the middle of it all! Walk out the door and you are across the street from Mercado Benito Juarez, 5-10 minute walk from the Zocalo. Breakfast is included and it's delicious. There is an in-house travel desk where friendly Carmen can arrange tours, rental cars, cooking classes and private taxis. Our room was very spacious. Even though it is right in the heart of Oaxaca Centro it is quiet and peaceful.

We had included breakfast and it was great! The hotel as a whole was very beautiful and well taken care of. The patio with a fountain an a Turtle in it was a great attraction for my little girls!

Todo bien. Lo unico el momento de llegar no habia donde estacionarse para bajar maletas. Tiene uno que quedarse en doble fila para bajar a pedir que te permitan acceso a una bahia del hotel. Y posteriormente llevar el coche hasta el estacionamiento que esta a un par de cuadras. No se puede disponer del auto tan facilmente. De ahi en mas, todo de 10.

Excellent stay at Hotel Trébol! The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The whole place was spotless and very well kept. Great location, great service, highly recommend it if you’re visiting Oaxaca!

While the location was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful, there are things we could not recommend. Do not get a room on the first floor. The noise is crazy. Our first room was right next to where the cleaning crew gets their supplies and fills their buckets. So at six in the morning and in the evening, so if your room is right there, you hear them, filling their buckets and cleaning and mops repeatedly. They also fumigated at 9:30 at night right outside our room and it was like a bomb of insecticide with no warning and it was so loud it was like a chain saw or jack hammer. The first room was not prepped correctly for our arrival. No soap, no glasses, it was dirty. we moved to the third-floor and got a better room with two beds. A really nice room. But even there we would have to call to get them to turn on the hot water for showering. Breakfasts were quite good. I don’t be hard to find a better location. Staff was nice, noisy most of the time. Get a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor with 2 beds - they are the nicer rooms. Internet what is spotty. But the hotel is walking distance to some great areas for food, museums, markets and festivals.

es hotel bonito, accesible, cómodo, gente amable y atenta el único inconveniente tal vez por la cercanía al mercado. en la ultima noche me quedé con mi familia usando las mesas del desayunador para tomarnos un café y fue apareciendo un grupo de cucarachas de las grandes, muy molestas, nos hicieron abandonar el lugar, al igual que a otros huéspedes. un camarero fué a retirarlas, pero les recomiendo fumigar esa área frecuentemente. agua caliente solo nos tocó 1 noche de 4.

I really enjoyed my stay here and it truly is as wonderful as others have described. Staff was great! Breakfast was nice! The rooms are good and clean. My only problem was the Wi-Fi not reaching all they way to our room (3rd floor) so if you plan to work or will need internet, make sure you get a room closer to the inside of the hotel. Also, there is construction going on outside as they improve the streets but don’t let that deter you. Well worth staying in this area really close to the markets and zocalo.

The room was large and clean. The staff was very nice and friendly. But the breakfasts were amazing. We were there for 21 nights and couldn't wait to see what the menu items for breakfast were. Seriously they should have a full restaurant. On the down side. The internet could be iffy. You had many choices of connections and we had to use a variety of them. So more of a nuisance then bad. Also the hot water was tricky. You either had very hot water, or cold. But all in all this was a great hotel, in a great location. We would highly recommended it. would highly recommend it.

Le hubiera podido poner un 10, porque el hotel es bonito , muy limpio , a una cuadra del zócalo, el desayuno que incluye muy rico y todos los días lo cambian , peroooo el único inconveniente es que el agua caliente no sale , o sale cuando quiere . Éramos 5 habitaciones , y todos tuvimos el mismo problema durante nuestros días de estancia, si no fuera por eso, todo hubiera estado excelente

The hotel is beautiful and clean. The WiFi was weak in the room, showers take a few mins to get warm and our room facing the street was noisy in the night. Nonetheless the location is excellent in the centre and the breakfast was great as well.

Room was generally ok. Bed was very very firm. Issues with hot water.... 5 minutes of hot water at best.... last morning, no hot water. Hotel breakfast and kitchen staff were definitely the highlight. Amazing free breakfast every morning and excellent service. Hotel common areas were beautiful. Desk staff were indifferent at best. 2 of our requests went unheeded. The hotel maintenance staff were completely oblivious as to how much noise they were making early in the morning. The location of hotel was great! One block from the Zocalo and cathedral and across the street from one of main indoor bazaars.

Lovely building with wonderful, helpful staff. I did not enjoy our room: on the street side so a bit too noisy, bathroom too small for a 3 person booking, very little hot water from bathroom sink but the shower was great, insufficient towel supply for three people (and no hand towels), noisy from above area during the day and last, lots of stairs to climb to the second floor (no elevator). Next time, we will be more specific with our booking because we loved the overall location, ambiance and staff and will likely return.

Centrally located, really pretty hotel with incredible breakfast and comfortable beds. Our room was in the inner courtyard and was generally quiet, but the rooms have no soundproofing. Hot water was a consistent problem. We asked for extra blankets to cover the curtains, because there aren't blackout curtains and the sun shined in. The staff was very friendly and we generally really liked the hotel, but better hot water heaters, thicker curtains and some weatherstripping on the windows and doors would really help.

Checking into this hotel was a horrible experience. We were traveling with our two adult daughters(who had their own room at another hotel). The desk manager refused to allow them past the desk to help us get our luggage to our upstairs room. We are 70 with bad knees and there are no elevators in this hotel. Other issues were non-working air conditioning in 90 degree weather. There is also very low water pressure for the shower and water temperature that does not remain constant. The one bright spot at this facility was Carmen, who runs the tour desk. She is a wonderful person and was very helpful in getting us an airport shuttle at 4 a.m. We tried to get a refund when we checked in so we could move to a better(and cooler) hotel but the desk manager said I had to contact Expedia. Expedia did not answer their contact number or chat session. We were stuck without any assistance in a foreign land.

Room was generally ok. Bed was very very firm. Issues with hot water.... 5 minutes of hot water at best.... last morning, no hot water. Hotel breakfast and kitchen staff were definitely the highlight. Amazing free breakfast every morning and excellent service. Hotel common areas were beautiful. Desk staff were indifferent at best. 2 of our requests went unheeded. The hotel maintenance staff were completely oblivious as to how much noise they were making early in the morning. En general todo bien pero me sucedió algo que jamás me había sucedido, eh viajado a diferentes países, continentes etc. Pero es la primera vez que no me dejan hacer el chekout hasta no revisar el cuarto, me resulta ofensivo que desconfíen de sus huéspedes, no todos nos robamos cosas de los cuartos, yo en lo personal no pienso regresar a ese hotel

Staff was extremely kind. Their travel agent Carmen is amazing, she booked us trips and made sure we were safe. We didn’t know that there was a teacher’s strike and many streets around our hotel were a sea of camping tents and tarps strung across the roads. There were road closures due to the strike. Overall, it was a very nice hotel right in the heart of downtown but apparently we came at a weird time.

Tres de los cinco dias en el Hotel Treboö los pasamos con un ruido insoportable proveniente de los arreglos que estan haciendo exactamente en la calle del hotel. Great location in the heart of centro, close to mercodos and main plazas. Hotel is clean and well cared for by LOCAL ownership and runs sustainable operations (solar and water recapture). Only drawback is that the area is noisy all day (for instance police directing traffic with whistle right outside, all day long on weekends). Would recommend for those on a budget that wish to support local owners!

Perfect location! Walkable to both Mercados 20 de Noviembre and Benito Juarez, Zocalo Plaza, pharmacy, and can’t leave out the bakery Mayordomo. Hotel is super clean, friendly-helpful staff. Delicious complimentary breakfast.

The room was large and clean. The staff was very nice and friendly. But the breakfasts were amazing. We were there for 21 nights and couldn't wait to see what the menu items for breakfast were. Seriously they should have a full restaurant. On the down side. The internet could be iffy. You had many choices of connections and we had to use a variety of them. So more of a nuisance then bad. Also the hot water was tricky. You either had very hot water, or cold. But all in all this was a great hotel, in a great location. We would highly recommended it. would highly recommend it.

Bed. was too Short. With 180 i had to ram my head into the Headboard to avoid them dangling out of the bed. Breakfast unfortunately only starts at 8am so we missed it both times due to travel arrangements

Great location and lovely style. Our only feedback is that the breakfast menu didn’t always list if dishes contained meat and despite repeatedly saying that we were vegetarian, every morning we we were given food that contained meat, which was a shame. When it was rectified, it was good food. Friendly staff, clean rooms, lovely courtyard away from busy crowds.

The workers use the hallways as a storage room and a work place, they use the hammer and you hear everything when you try to rest. Breakfast starts at 8 so I had to go to work without having breakfast. There is a lot of echo and noise in the hallways of the hotel so there is no silence to rest, the curtains in the room do not help with the light, I had to cover the window with a blanket and they do not turn off the lights outside the rooms until midnight, really do not use the hotel if you work the next day. The place is near a catholic church and the bells ring every half hour you cannot take naps nor can you sleep late ever. If someone wants to accompany you to breakfast you have to pay first so they can go with you to the dining room.

The hotel is very pretty and well kept. The breakfast is EXCELLENT, delicious, and very filling. They give small portions which I liked because that way food won’t go to waste. BUT they will always give seconds if you ask. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is walking distance to El Zocalo and a Mercado is literally across the street.
