We spent 2 nights at the Playa Linda in mid January. It is located in the middle of everything on the Malecon , with great views . A clean , basic hotel - our only minor issues being that they only supply a top sheet , no blankets and a cold front was going through , and that there is no in room safe - just at the front desk Still , great value for the money , would stay there next time we are in Progreso

It is advertised there is a roof top patio and there isn't. It has been closed for a few years. It also says there are Safes in the rooms and there wasnt. It was a bit noisy but staff was great and very convenient spot.

El hotel está bien, sua habitaciones con vista parcial al mar y frente al mar son muy buenas y completas, las habitaciones sin vista al mar son muy encerradas, por lo que siempre recomendaría hospedarse con vista parcial o frente al mar. No tiene elevador, así que si tienes algún inconveniente para subir escaleras intenta quedarte en la habitación de planta baja Todo queda realmente cerca, solo cruzas el Malecon y llegar a la zona de playa, hay restaurantes y comercios

No elevator in hotel (4 story hotel). Room was ok, water was not very hot. But most concerning was there is no lock from inside the door and there was a stool to place behind the door. Would not book here again, please beware and find another hotel that is not Hotel Playa Linda unless this is the quality level of hotel you are used to.

The hotel is clean and very comfy. We rented the junior suite wich has a small.kitchen. It did not have a coffee maker. But many choices for breakfast in the vecinity for breakfast. Also, no parking lot. Wich is a common theme with about all the hotels in progreso. We parked in the street and were there for 3 night. Car was perfectly safe, the town in incredibly safe. Truly enjoyed it.

Don't expect tge typical western hotel but it's perfectly functional and in a great location. If you're sensitive to noise, I suggest you stay on the far westwrn side of the malecon so the music and vendors don't bother you. We had a minor issue with water pressure but that was resolved quickly by changing the shower head and resetting the water heater. Bring your own beach towels and there is no elevator for those with mobility issues.

We arrived and it looked like they had just finished cleaning the room, the floors were still drying and that is we checked in a few minutes before 3pm. The bed sheet had yellow stains also the pillows, made me wonder if they were even changed. The fridge top was dirty with sticky stuff and so was the interior it had a yellow wet stain. Staff is nice and very caring, except one guy from night shift that seemd bothered when we asked for things like extra soap and toilet paper. They only provide one small bottle of shampoo, one toilet paper, one water bottle and one soap for 4 people reserved room. The room was next to a public rental bathroom so when we left the bathroom window open the stench of those public bathrooms came into the room. Doesn't seem like their are any rules in the hotel, people yelling and slamming doors. If your thier for tranquililty this is not your place. Other than this the location of the hotel is fabulous. It next to an OXXO , beach is a few feet away and on the main strip. Few blocks away from public transportation. I stay here again for the convience but I dislike the uncleaniness.

Siempre que vamos a Progreso nos hospedamos en este hotel y es una maravilla! Siempre lo diré! Son muy amables! Las habitaciones están limpias, lo sé porque accidentalmente mi esposo derramó una gaseosa y tuvimos que quitar las sábanas y yo tenía encontrar algo sucio como en otros hoteles y oh sorpresa, todo estaba MUY limpio, me dieron otro juego de sábanas y nuestra estancia fue muy grata!

The hotel is in the perfect place. It is clean and the staff is very nice. One thing was the shower. We hardly got any water from the shower head. We had to stoop down to wash our hair with a faucet.

The air condition was set at 16 and was still unbelievable hot in the room. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. The beach was not clean and you had to rent your chairs or loungers . If you were out of your room or on the balcony wifi didn’t work. The room that we had the baloney was facing a road . The pictures looked good but it wasn’t like that at all. We had a queen pull out couch. You couldn’t sleep on that as it had plastic couch cushion that was even uncomfortable to sit on . No sheets or pillow supplied for it. We stayed one night and left .

Excellent location on the Malecon, Brand new grocery store very close shopping, bars, restaurants , beach it's all here steps away from Hotel, They have stairs only thing I wished was different however, Check in was very smooth easy, young man working front desk carried up my bag very grateful. Good value for money. Staff are very friendly and pleasant.

This hotel is on the malecon/boardwalk of Progreso with the beach a few steps away. There are many restaurants, craft shops, a museum and miles of beaches once you step out of the hotel. Excellent location, maybe the best in Progreso.

Excellently situated oceanside, the suite with full ocean view can't be beat. It's a busy area, sometimes loud, so perhaps not for everybody. There is an excellent supermarket nearby, so using the kitchette is an attractive option. Alternatively, cheap and delicious meals can be found in the local market.

Property is in a great location, across from the beach and directly on the Malecon. Staff were most helpful. Had a junior suite, which had too much furniture for the space, and while it had a kitchenette, it didn’t have much in the way of cookware, and no dish cleaning supplies.Bathroom had nice big shower with intermittent hot water, and bathroom sink didn’t have hot water or a light over the sink. Can be a bit noisy with music at all hours and not overly soundproof. Still, for a short stay it is fine, near lots of places to eat.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Meer. Die Zimmer sind gross und sauber. Leider gibt es kein Frühstück im Hotel. Das Hotel verfügt über keine Parkplätze, das Auto kann aber gut an der Strasse abgestellt werden. Leider gibt es keine separaten Badetücher mehr für den Strand, trotz anderweitiger Information über das Internet.
