If you are looking for a clean and convenient motel this is not your place. We were a group of four travelling across Europe and all we wanted was a clean room with decent amenities like clean sheets, pillows and soap or shampoo in the bathroom. Firstly, reception staff were rude. Then they mentioned we have to pay city taxes but do not accept credit cards. We paid cash but I was not given a receipt nor did they return the change due. The room was a shocker….. I have seen refugee camps that looked better. A crumpled duvet was thrown on the bed with no other sheets. A pillow that didn’t have much filling (literally flat) was placed under an oversized pillow cover. A dark coloured towel was thrown on the bed, but it didn’t look clean or safe to use. There was no shampoo or soap in the bathroom. The furniture in the room looked home-made with cheap wood. There was no air conditioning and we had to keep the windows open due to the heat wave across Europe, which invited flies and other insects into the room. The room did not have tea or coffee, nor did the hotel have portable water. The free breakfast was basic, but probably the only redeeming factor and hence the 2 star. However given that this was the most expensive motel in our entire trip ($350 per night) we expected at least basic amnesties. I am truly surprised hotels.com or Expedia would list this accommodation in their website.

Spectacularly situated with a stunning view of the valley. Helpful staff. Plain but serviceable room

I tried your virtual help, not of any help. Arrived and the door was locked. No one there no reception. A man then came, didn’t want our passports or anything. Construction materials and dirt everywhere!!! NO one else in entire place. A man gave us a key. The pictures will tell the story. Broken down, dirty, a mattress of stains and what appeared to be straw or horse hair. No soap, stained old little table. Noise from saws below us. I tried to find the one man that gave us the key, I could NOT. In all my travels all over the world have I never found anything more disgusting and disappointing! This location should NOT, I say NOT be up on Hotels.com site. I want a FULL refund! I left a note at the front desk saying why we could NOT stay. I left with my note !!! Again, there was NO one around except for the construction workers. PLEASE view my photos Sincerely, Ruth Hartmann

It may seem like the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, but that's just a false impression. The surrounding area and views around the hotel are stunning. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. Looking forward to going back.
