Beautiful property!

Good hotel with potential to be much better. Our room was very spacious with a comfortable bed, but the shower room in particular was rather shabby. It also had a sensor to switch on the light, which did not register when someone was in the shower. As the timer was set too short, we were both plumbed into darkness whilst showering. The breakfast was copious, but again had shortcomings. It is a diy job in the bedroom as the staff do not arrive until 10 or 11a.m. The bread and croissants are hung on the bedroom door the night before, so they are not fresh by the following morning. The rest of the breakfast was in the fridge including eggs to boil. Unfortunately the egg boiler was dirty, with congealed egg white in it, so we passed on those. As there is a fridge, why not provide fresh milk instead of the uht pots? The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and is obviously very popular with the locals. Again small details like dead lightbulbs here and in the bedroom show a lack of attention to detail. We enjoyed our stay but the place could be so much better with a little more care.

Really enjoyed our stay here it was a good base to explore the Utrecht region on bikes. The local area has all the services that you will need if you are on a bike tour and it's a great location to use as a basis to explore the region.

Wij hadden de Baron kamer. Een verrassend ruime kamer waar je een ontbijttafel hebt in de keuken en een zitje met TV in de voorkamer met ertussen een ruim 2 persoons bed. Het ontbijt wordt op de kamer geserveerd en is zeer uitgebreid. Uitzicht op de Lek. Aanrader, want ook nog een lekker restaurant beneden met een terras dat uitzicht heeft op de veerpont.

Prima overnachting, goede sfeer en mooie kamer met alle gemakken. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar
