We had a lovely stay at the lodge! It was right in the heart of Kings Cross near some lovely cafe/restaurants and so close to the station. The lodge is dated but in the best way, it feels like it has some real history and fits into the Cross. I personally love staying in places like this over commercial hotels. Our room was clean, plenty of towels, good bedding and we had a lovely balcony! It did get quite warm in the room and there is no aircon but we opened the balcony doors and there was a nice breeze. I was a bit nervous about the shared bathroom situation but we had no issues. It was serviced well and had all amenities needed. The only downside I will say is there is no onsite parking but there is the Elizabeth St parking garage 5 min walk away. Drop your bags and then go and park there. You can’t complain for $15 per day parking in the city. Was everything we needed for the weekend and would definatly stay again.

There are plenty of restaurants nearby and it’s an easy 30 min walk into town. Parking can be tricky because there is no onsite parking and street parking is limited to 2 hrs during the day. We were lucky enough to snag a park right out front for overnight which is unlimited. The check-in process is easy but you have to do it all online. There’s no check-in facility at the property. Support is a phone call away though and they responded really quickly. Overall I would definitely recommend this property for a budget stay in Sydney.

Stayed for 2 weeks solo. It was nice! No real issues and the check in/out process was smooth. Location is really great too! Close enough to a train station but not too close that it is too busy. Something to note is that there is not an elevator and the staircase is a bit narrow. It was very difficult for me to get my checked bags up and down the staircase. Other than that, the stay was very comfortable. Having a laundromat next door is very handy as well!

Nice apartment with balcony. 5 rooms shared one bathroom with the toilet in the bathroom which was not ideal. When the description said shared bathroom I thought there would be more than one. Online check in was convenient however the amount of personal information they asked for was concerning.

We had a wedding in the botanical gardens, came back to the hotel after. Easy checkin, nice interiors. Bed was kind of small and not very comfortable. Shared bathroom was clean and modern. Parking was a little tricky but we managed! For the price, it was overall a pleasant quick stay :)

The property would benefit if they could organise a parking deal with the local parking bay on Bayswater drive. After a 4 night stay we paid $395 for parking, I feel this is extravagant and it would make me question staying in the area again. The property itself was lovely, tidy, nice furnishings, comfy bed. Would definitely recommend if you don’t mind the parking situation.

- there is no air conditioning so I died everyday. The fan didn't really do much and there was no fly screen in the windows - The rooms aren't sound proof. I was hearing footsteps on the stairs every single time a person walked them - The bathrooms are clean - There were no elevators to the upper floors so you have to carry your own luggage - The WORST lock in the main door. The pin pad did not respond to your finger when your input the number so most times you're stuck outside pinning in the number - Sometimes the main door is not closed properly which is unsafe as there is limited reception and there is a place to leave your luggage near the stairs and it is unsupervised - The place to leave your luggage is literally just next to the staircase and is hidden by a portable divider

La habitación estaba bien,el baño pequeño pero con todo lo necesario. no tiene aire acondicionado, el control del ventilador estaba fijo en la pared. La alfombra necesita una renovación urgente. Y quien hace la limpieza tiene que poner más atención en los rincones, la alfombra estaba gris de polvo en las esquinas. El servibar hace mucho ruido. Con un poco de esmero estaría perfecto . Ruidoso pero bien

An affordable hotel in Sydney, which I think is one of the most expensive city in the world, but it is not located far away, metro station is just in a walking distance, about 15 minutes you can travel to every attractions in the city centre. The hotel is located in a quite area in King Cross, the small balcony is very relax for having breakfast in the morning. Downside is the property is a bit old and dirty, but it is within the accepted level.

I liked the location and the ease of geting to public transport quickly and the range of cafe's bars and resteraunts within a few minutes walk. I disliked the code acess, I struggled when I first arrived getting the hang of it and also felt as it took a while to unlock the building unsafe in the evenings as a solo female. When I checked in my room wasn't cleaned fully and felt quite un hygenic with dirty benches and side tables and a non vaccumed room. I found room service hit or miss, I asked on check in if my room could be vaccumed and when I arrived back only the door area was done, they wouldn't come in every day a few days I was missing towels and I had to request a full room clean, the bathrooms were quite dirty too. The rooms were very loud outside noise and visitors in other rooms. Having no staff was hard as I feel voicing concerns weren't taken as seriously over text as they would have been I feel in person.

Excellent communication. Clear instructions provided to access the building and room using codes on the entry doors. I had text messages during my stay to confirm that all was ok. Spacious and clean room. Excellent water pressure in the shared bathroom right outside my room, and the bathroom was always available. I had the balcony room which had a little bit of traffic noise, but with the door closed and the fan on, I barely heard anything and I’m a very light sleeper. Would stay here again.

Had a great stay. After an initial hiccough with the booking system not sending us a code, everything was smooth. Great location, clean and comfy room. Shared bathrooms were clean and having two on the level meant there was always at least 1 available. Would definitely return!

Great location. Nice little hotel but the bathrooms are ridiculously small. I am prity sure bigger people don't fit into the showers. Also no aircon can make it very unpleasant on a hot day. Beds and Linnen are very comfy.

I really enjoyed my stay at Bayswater Boutique Lodge during my solo trip! They were quick to communicate and easily allowed me to obtain an early check in time. The property was quiet and house keeping was available daily. I especially enjoyed the balcony attached to my room. Lots of food options easily walkable in the area and a bus stop right outside as well. I would definitely recommend!

A hidden treasure tucked away on a quiet, safe street. The room was beautifully appointed. Close and convenient to cafes, restaurants and public transport. I think I've found my business home away from home.

Loved the big tree outside the little verandah. Didn’t love no air conditioner or the very loud people in room 2 who talked loudly and slammed doors from 1130-0230 until i finally banged on the wall.

My partner and I had a very disappointing stay at Bayswater Boutique Lodge. The entry key pads are very user unfriendly so access to our room was always a bit of a challenge. The shared bathroom was tiny and difficult to use, particularly for me being quite tall. The fans not very successful at keeping the room at a reasonable temperature at night, and no air conditioning so sleep was difficult. No staff on premesis so contact was through email and text with Donia the manager (working remotely I assume). She was able to assist on some issues, such as difficulties with the initial booking, but it would be helpful to have someone around for ongoing matters. Summing up, it was not a good stay, and it's unlikely I'll be back. My partner Liz will probably also have some comments to make

I liked the location and the ease of geting to public transport quickly and the range of cafe's bars and resteraunts within a few minutes walk. I disliked the code acess, I struggled when I first arrived getting the hang of it and also felt as it took a while to unlock the building unsafe in the evenings as a solo female. When I checked in my room wasn't cleaned fully and felt quite un hygenic with dirty benches and side tables and a non vaccumed room. I found room service hit or miss, I asked on check in if my room could be vaccumed and when I arrived back only the door area was done, they wouldn't come in every day a few days I was missing towels and I had to request a full room clean, the bathrooms were quite dirty too. The rooms were very loud outside noise and visitors in other rooms. Having no staff was hard as I feel voicing concerns weren't taken as seriously over text as they would have been I feel in person.

Excellent communication. Clear instructions provided to access the building and room using codes on the entry doors. I had text messages during my stay to confirm that all was ok. Spacious and clean room. Excellent water pressure in the shared bathroom right outside my room, and the bathroom was always available. I had the balcony room which had a little bit of traffic noise, but with the door closed and the fan on, I barely heard anything and I’m a very light sleeper. Would stay here again.

We arrived around 10:30pm to the property and called the out of office number to get access to the hotel. After going back and forth for a little while we eventually gained access to our room 40 mins later…after a few more phone calls. We found this really frustrating after 24 hours of travelling. It would have been much more useful to have information on how to access the property before we arrived rather than when we arrived and out of hours. The TV in the room also didn’t work :( apart from this the accommodation was well positioned, only a short walk from the nearest station and metro.

I really enjoyed my stay at Bayswater Boutique Lodge during my solo trip! They were quick to communicate and easily allowed me to obtain an early check in time. The property was quiet and house keeping was available daily. I especially enjoyed the balcony attached to my room. Lots of food options easily walkable in the area and a bus stop right outside as well. I would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay at the lodge! It was right in the heart of Kings Cross near some lovely cafe/restaurants and so close to the station. The lodge is dated but in the best way, it feels like it has some real history and fits into the Cross. I personally love staying in places like this over commercial hotels. Our room was clean, plenty of towels, good bedding and we had a lovely balcony! It did get quite warm in the room and there is no aircon but we opened the balcony doors and there was a nice breeze. I was a bit nervous about the shared bathroom situation but we had no issues. It was serviced well and had all amenities needed. The only downside I will say is there is no onsite parking but there is the Elizabeth St parking garage 5 min walk away. Drop your bags and then go and park there. You can’t complain for $15 per day parking in the city. Was everything we needed for the weekend and would definatly stay again.

An affordable hotel in Sydney, which I think is one of the most expensive city in the world, but it is not located far away, metro station is just in a walking distance, about 15 minutes you can travel to every attractions in the city centre. The hotel is located in a quite area in King Cross, the small balcony is very relax for having breakfast in the morning. Downside is the property is a bit old and dirty, but it is within the accepted level.

Nice hotel located a great area. Close to lots of shops, restaurants, public transport and just a few stops from the city. Very comfortable stay, bed is soft and comfortable. Checkin in was super easy and uses codes which I really liked. staff are always available if you need anything. I would definitely stay again.

Can highly recommend right in the heart of Kings Cross and Potts Point – close to all the area has to offer. Stayed in a double balcony room which was perfect and enjoyable. Five out of five stars and a great place to stay while in Sydney.

The place is like home away from home. Room is nice, bed is comfy. Very convenient location. Train station (Kings Cross Station is only 5 minutes by foot). If you commute by bus from CBD, the stop is literally few steps away from the hotel. I would see myself coming back to stay.

For the price, this hotel was great. The only thing that threw me off was I had to share a bathroom. I looked back at my booking and didn’t see anywhere that I would not have a private bathroom, so that was a major disappointment. Otherwise I appreciated the proximity to the metro and other downtown areas.
