Exceptional Hotel. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, the bed was extremely comfortable and what a delightful surprise to be offered free soft drinks and bottled water in the mini bar along with courtesy snacks. The location is superb to access darling harbour and parking was a breeze with a a parking station right across the street. Honestly I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Solid 10/10. We’ll definitely be back.

The hotel was great - super helpful and friendly staff, comfortable rooms and lovely little perks (such as free lollies/popcorn at anytime in reception). We used the car park across the road which was very easy (staff validate your ticket and charge back to the room). The only disappointment was that the property advertises a 24/7 gym - which is actually the local snap fitness (approx 500m away). Not a huge deal but would have expected this to be on site or in a similar vicinity to the parking options provided.

Quirky place inside but great staff and good rooms. Very well located with parking right across the road. Easy walk to Barangaroo and there is a metro station really close as well. Been there before and will return for any city stays.

I have stayed at this property on two occasions. It is extremely clean and walking distance to ICC and light rail. Parking is available across the road in a parking station. Breakfast and coffee were good. Staff were polite and friendly. Only drawback was the air conditioning which despite supposedly being individually controlled in each room did not work properly and was a bit warm even after bringing this to the attention of staff.

Great little hotel with lots of character. Rooms are on the smaller side but perfectly comfortable for shorter stays, and the staff were super polite and helpful. Would stay here again as the value for money is good and parking easy over the road.

We arrived at 9am after a long flight, and they allowed early checkin!! Our room was quiet, had a great blackout screen, and soda and water were included. They also had a washer and dryer available to use. The light rail was across the street and the ferry was a 5-10 minute walk.

The property was exclusive and of interesting structure. The staff was extraordinarily nice however the room had some demp smells when entered. The air circulation system was turned of what most likely caused these smells and the windows couldn’t be opened to overcome the unpleasant odours.

The room was dusty. Clumps of dust. I moved to another room, which was equally as dusty. Asked for them to clean it, but wiped dust off all services and the corner of the carpet was so bad! Run down, and not worth the price. No views and. Ordered room service and the meat wasn’t good - couldn’t eat half of it.

The lobby is very nice and the whole building has an interesting history. The loft room was an interesting concept. However, the room had a few problems: the main table was dirty with some ash and sticky residue on it, one of the light bulbs was burned out, the toilet was half-clogged, the air conditioning was struggling on a very warm (but not even hot) day, and there was a cockroach in the bathroom! The compounding disappointment was that I reported those things to the reception in the morning, and nothing has been done nor was anything followed up on in any way. I understand that some of those things I reported could not have been fixed in a day, but at least some should’ve been acted upon.

The counter had clearly not been wiped from the last guest. The restaurant was not fully open on the Monday night, so there was only a very limited menu like a cheese toastie. Not really decent dinner food. The gym is offsite, which is fine but it was a terrible gym. Half the equipment was not working, there was nowhere to fill a water bottle, you could only buy water. It was disappointing.

Noisy! Main road bridge on-ramp and single glazed windows meant that road traffic noise was very loud. I changed rooms. Batteries in TV remote were flat so, couldnt switch it off. Paid for breakfast but left without any because staff were very poor and couldnt accomodate a simple dietary request. Its a nice old building and the staff are well intended but I wont be going back!

The old world charm of this woolstore combined with a bit of funk thrown in was lovely. It was quiet, comfortable and had all we needed. The room was smaller than expected but really, what more do you need when you are out all day? Close proximity to the city, about 5-10 easy walk across the Pyrmont Bridge and just around the corner from Star. No views in this room but that was perfectly fine for us.

Nice place to stay. The air con in the room was terrible. It was set at 30 degrees and could only be changed by telling the front office staff. Made no sense at all. Great coffee, but both out breakfast meals were served cold. Disappointing.

Conveniently located for Darling Harbour area, we had a good sized, stylish room with a great bathroom. The bed was very large with best pillows I’ve experienced in a hotel for some time. The hotel was quiet and all the staff were welcoming and helpful. The only down side was the complete lack of view from our top floor room - it was just walls of adjacent buildings. However, I suspect there was little to see (a car park and other hotels) in the immediate vicinity.

Paid for a king room but room was a queen bed. Got into the room late and went to shower and the shower head fell off. Reported both issues to staff in the morning and it was dismissed and we’re told we must have booked the wrong room and they would report it to the manager.

I’ll start with the positives: the room was fairly nice, the toiletries were good quality and we liked having dressing gowns. Now on to the negatives. This “5 star” hotel had some of the worst service I’ve experienced. We paid to have breakfast each day when we booked, but were very disappointed to find we just had a choice of 3 items (0 if you’re vegan, 2 if you’re vegetarian). It needs to be much clearer upon booking what the breakfast options are as we would never have added it on if we’d known how limited it would be. On the first morning we waited 45 minutes to receive 1 muesli and 1 eggs with toast. Another day we were twice brought out the wrong thing. On our third night we went to the bar for a pre-dinner drink and ordered one g&t and one whisky sour. The whisky sour was brought out 15 minutes after the first drink with no word of an apology. We were treated to the bar manager and chef swearing about another member of staff in full earshot of us though (Camilla, sorry girl!). No one greeted you when you came into the hotel after being out for the day, though reception was always manned and the lobby always quiet. We reported that the fan in our bathroom was broken and no one ever came to look at it. The bathroom is a wet room without a shower door/curtain so the whole room gets very wet including the towel rail. I would not recommend this hotel unless you’re going to the conference centre, the area really isn’t great for tourists. We won’t be back.

The lobby is very nice and the whole building has an interesting history. The loft room was an interesting concept. However, the room had a few problems: the main table was dirty with some ash and sticky residue on it, one of the light bulbs was burned out, the toilet was half-clogged, the air conditioning was struggling on a very warm (but not even hot) day, and there was a cockroach in the bathroom! The compounding disappointment was that I reported those things to the reception in the morning, and nothing has been done nor was anything followed up on in any way. I understand that some of those things I reported could not have been fixed in a day, but at least some should’ve been acted upon.

This is a quirky hotel well located to Darling Harbour and near the Convention Centre. The Aware concert venue was a short 8 minute walk. Perfect for our needs, and the free soft drinks in your mini bar is a nice touch.

This is a beautifully restored/renovated old property. It was a very nice surprise to us and it location, once you find the access through the parking station opposite takes you straight into Darling Harbours promenade, is a bigger bonus.

Conveniently located for Darling Harbour area, we had a good sized, stylish room with a great bathroom. The bed was very large with best pillows I’ve experienced in a hotel for some time. The hotel was quiet and all the staff were welcoming and helpful. The only down side was the complete lack of view from our top floor room - it was just walls of adjacent buildings. However, I suspect there was little to see (a car park and other hotels) in the immediate vicinity.

I’ll start with the positives: the room was fairly nice, the toiletries were good quality and we liked having dressing gowns. Now on to the negatives. This “5 star” hotel had some of the worst service I’ve experienced. We paid to have breakfast each day when we booked, but were very disappointed to find we just had a choice of 3 items (0 if you’re vegan, 2 if you’re vegetarian). It needs to be much clearer upon booking what the breakfast options are as we would never have added it on if we’d known how limited it would be. On the first morning we waited 45 minutes to receive 1 muesli and 1 eggs with toast. Another day we were twice brought out the wrong thing. On our third night we went to the bar for a pre-dinner drink and ordered one g&t and one whisky sour. The whisky sour was brought out 15 minutes after the first drink with no word of an apology. We were treated to the bar manager and chef swearing about another member of staff in full earshot of us though (Camilla, sorry girl!). No one greeted you when you came into the hotel after being out for the day, though reception was always manned and the lobby always quiet. We reported that the fan in our bathroom was broken and no one ever came to look at it. The bathroom is a wet room without a shower door/curtain so the whole room gets very wet including the towel rail. I would not recommend this hotel unless you’re going to the conference centre, the area really isn’t great for tourists. We won’t be back.

Nice place to stay. The air con in the room was terrible. It was set at 30 degrees and could only be changed by telling the front office staff. Made no sense at all. Great coffee, but both out breakfast meals were served cold. Disappointing.

The hotel is in the base of Pyrmont, less than five minutes walk from Darling Harbour (cut through the car park slightly towards the bottom of the hill). The light rail and bus lines are also within five minutes walk. Breakfast in the onsite restaurant are phenomenal, and it’s worth trying once even if not included.

The location is perfect, beautiful walking route to opera house, Harbour Bridge and ferry quay. I would have given full 5/5 point, but it was very irritating that even we have prepaid “well-priced” breakfast, we couldn’t get both coffee and orange juice, which belong always to our breakfast.
