Homewood Suites by Hilton Dallas Downtown, TX

The staff was all amazing. The Breakfast was great and changed each day we were there. THe work out room was nice. Sadly no pool or arcade at the time we stayed, but pool tables, basketball court and work out room provided some entertainment. We didnt go too far out around the area on foot, but quite a few homeless people or just people on drugs made it annoying with kids. The dallas aquarium was in walking distance and was fantastic as well.

This was right in downtown which was great if you didn’t have kids. Lots of homeless and there was no pool as advertised in the pictures. Wouldn’t recommend for families. Aside from that the room was good.

Furniture in the room was in bad condition, specifically a piece that goes attached or near the desk, it looks like it was chewed and painted over with a furniture marker. Honestly, that requires more than a marker to touch up. The pool was cold, we choose this hotel because of indoor pool and because I was attending a concert. My husband was going to stay with out toddler and have fun at the pool. The mirrors in the closet were dirty, the bathroom has mold, where the door slides on the corners. This room needs lots of touch ups, not just with a marker. Honestly for the price, I thought the room would be in better condition and the pool would have warm water, so dissapointing.

Pool and mini-golf advertised on here were both closed. The pool has been closed for a year and a half, per front desk. The only reason we booked this hotel was for the advertised indoor pool. Security guards stand over the clerks shoulder which made me concerned about the area and also my personal information. No trash cans in bathroom.

We were unaware that they only offered valet parking. This was expensive and made us late to more than one reservation during our stay because one of the drivers didn’t know how to start our rental. It was also very disappointing that Expedia listed a pool as an amenity, but the pool had been closed for months and showed a banner on the hotel’s website, very disappointing. Staff was wonderful and accommodating.

Great and centrally-located property. Very nice breakfast as well! Only wish there was a parking option besides valet.

Probably the best experience i've had at a hotel. breakfast was great and staff were friendly. I was shocked by the amenities; basketball court, pool tables, and available laundry for a couple bucks. Great location.

Everything was good but the main reason I booked that hotel was for the indoor pool. When we got there everything was getting renovated, hence why only 4 stars.

This was a great stay. They have a movie theater you and your family can rent out to use. It was the favorite part of my kid’s stay. Very interesting and unique place.

So if you stay here you will be charged 40 every day you stay the night and they told us there was no where else to park that wouldn’t charge you at least 20 but we found a parking spot for 13 bucks and some of staff the clerks and valet were super rude

Overall it was a good stay. Only thing the water was not hot at all. My family had to take cold showers

The room was spacious and decent. The only issue we had with the room was that the hot water stopped working, so we had to move rooms.

Staff was friendly & very helpful.. Sticky floors, no hot water at bathroom sink, light switches didn't always work, pool was unavailable, breakfast was very bland with nasty eggs.. Disappointed overall, we will not pick this hotel again.. Have stayed in much better hotels that cost 1/2 as much..

This place is a complete dump. They charged me $370 for one night. You’re better off staying in one of the big tower hotels right next to it than this dump. We had no hot water. For $370 a night. They sent some guy who spoke very little English up and said the way to fix it is to turn the both sinks on to help pull the hot water up. Lol who’s ever heard of such a thing. That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of. And when they called us, they said that there’s nobody here to fix it and they’ll fix it in the morning. Which is really convenient since we check out in the morning. So me and my family of three spent almost $400 and couldn’t even take a shower.

Very disappointed in this property. Toilet was broken and couldn’t get help to fix, very very dirty. The whole place. Breakfast was okay. I was very mad about the whole situation. The only bright side was the young ladies at the front desk, they were awesome and the only thing that made me and my family okay. Hope they can work at a place that actually cleans and does the upkeep on the property

It was amazing as always only problem we had was the shower would not get hot at all and the sink would be scalding only no cold water. Besides that amazing experience and

The service was terrible. The staff were very harried and clearly overwhelmed. Management was non existent. The location seemed quite nice at first but when we woke up we had lice crawling in our daughters hair. When we contacted the staff and management we were basically ignored. No offers were made to assist or comp our room. Will never return. One of the worst experiences Ive had.

The staff and security was excellent, but the property is out of date and rooms are old.

The area around is not the prettiest but it’s super convenient for transportation, especially when going to events at the American Airlines Center. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Breakfast service did close half an hour earlier than what I’d been told at the front desk at check in so do take that into account.

The breakfast was great and the rooms were very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The furniture has seen better days and was somewhat outdated but overall it is a great value and space for your money. Would stay here again.

Great front desk staff. Breakfast was GREAT. Noisy street though, lots of truck traffic even on wknd. Close to Delay Plaza.

Pros: spacious room, clean, wonderful water pressure in shower and sink, kitchenette was nice, multiple activities/amenities available, location was convenient, we walked everywhere during our stay, breakfast was available with multiple food options. Cons: only valet parking available and the attendants were too pushy about getting a tip. The breakfast offered was awful - runny scrambled eggs, very low quality/rubbery sausage, bland, cold potatoes, only one waffle maker so there was always a long line to get a waffle and the coffee tasted old. The pullout sofa bed in our room was terrible- you could feel each spring in the thin mattress- and the pillows for the regular bed were quite flat. The drain cover for our shower was not glued/caulked down at all and created a slipping hazard as it easily slid right off the drain hole. We didn’t bother telling the front desk about this until check out as we were able to work around it for the two nights we were there. I hope they fixed it for the next guest. There are a lot of homeless people in the area, but I suppose that’s just downtown areas for ya.

AC in the room was loud . Other than that , all good.

Staff from valet and front desk to breakfast attendant and housekeepers were all wonderful. It is so centrally located the only time we had to take our vehicle out of the garage was to go to a baseball game. It is a wonderful example of why I look for a Homewood Suites to stay in when ever I travel.

The staff was excellent!!! Night security lady, she's the best! Parking onsite and valet was excellent, and in my opinion totally worth the cost! The area has a lot of homeless, but felt safe my entire stay. Hotel was clean, lots of extras, breakfast was great! Lots of attractions within walking distance. Would stay again.

staff wasn't very nice at all. had to wait forever for valet, the other staff members had to go look for him around the property. and when I walked into the property I was greeted with " do you need help looking for something" and the room had a dirty baby bottle and trash left under the bed.

Checkin was painful! The associate spent a huge amount of time with two ladies that had a lot of issues meeting basic requirements to make payment and ID. A big red flag for me was on their cart. It looked like they came to party. As luck would have it they were in the room next to us and the party started immediately! Very loud music and voices. There weremultiple rooms on our floor so they went back and forth letting the door slam each time. We went out for dinner and they were still going strong when we returned. We did not complain as it was still early even though we had a long travel day and would have liked an early night. At 10 they went out all was quiet until 2 am. Then the music was back on and the load voices. Banging doors. We tried several times to call the front desk letting it ring. No answer. When we had come back from dinner the only person we saw was the same associate that checked us in. Security that was there earlier was not visible. We did not feel safe to leave our room and we did consider calling 911. It was that bad! When we checked out we told the associate what had happened and he asked,so you want to place a noise complaint? The point of bringing it up after the fact is the staff on duty need to be informed of what went on,on their watch and how to avoid this from happening in the future. No one knows what a guest will do for sure but in the 20 minutes I listened to these guests problems with checkin I never heard them be told they needed to q

I cannot speak highly enough about the hotel and its staff. Every single employee I interacted with from the valet to the front desk to the security staff to the kitchen staff and to the sales manager was absolutely phenomenal. They made our stay very enjoyable. The room itself was a nice cozy suite with a great view of the half pyramid next door. It was perfectly size and the kitchen was exactly what I wanted. It was also very clean. It had wonderful amenities like the pool, gym, pool table and more. It is a great location and was close to everything my Fiance and I wanted to do in Dallas. And, again, the staff go above and beyond. By the second day they recognized me which made it feel very personal. Not something you’d expect from such a big and busy hotel. I proposed to my fiancé this weekend and the team ensured it was special. Highly recommend.

Check-in was the worst. Room not ready 1:15 past check-in time. Ok. When we expressed our unhappiness the desk clerk/manager said she could cancel our reservation for is. Really! Customer service = insulting the guests' intelligence? She could have said "let me comp you a drink or snack while you wait". But no. The worst part was not the inconvenience. It was management's attitude. When I attempted to use Hilton's online customer service, it was a nightmare and waste of time. So I telephoned. After giving gentleman our data he put me on hold 2 minutes then disconnected. Infuriating! Of course, no one called back; or emailed.ur unhapp

Well located, nice and clean hotel.

Great location. Alittle pricey

The property is quite nice. But when I booked this hotel online, I specifically asked for something pet friendly. Yes, this place is pet friendly, but nowhere during the booking was I told that I would have to pay $75 for each pet. That added $150 to my one night stay! Also, there are no convenient facilities for my dogs to go outside. The closest place for them to go is a park that is a block and a half away. It would definitely be a nice place for them to go if it wasn't overrun with homeless people that were in the fountain bathing. I didn't feel safe by myself taking my dogs there.

The rooms have been remodeled and are nice. Came here to see 6th floor museum and did not realize it’s a very run down area, didn’t feel safe walking around. Check in was extremely frustrating, room was not ready until 4:30 and we’d made it clear we wanted to try to check in early.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. Brilliant location for downtown sightseeing. Within walking distance of JFK tours, etc. Suite was awesome. Very spacious and comfortable. Great free breakfast. Staff were all very friendly. Housekeeping is only on request which we did not realise until checkout! But no problem for us. Suite was clean. Our only problem was the continuously filling cistern in one of the bathrooms which did not get fixed during our stay. Just shut the door on it! Pretty quiet for downtown.

Well located but very outdated and the breakfast was very basic and actually awful. Not worthy of Hilton branding.

It was a really lovely hotel. The only negative was the breakfast wasn't that great and the coffee tasted burnt.
