Home2 Suites by Hilton Austin/Cedar Park, TX

Possible bed bugs,,,,,,,woke up with red dots (bites) on my torso. Couldn't use pool, was dirty couldn't see the bottom, Employee spoke to me in spanish, I speak english.

hotel was just OK. A little run down. Bathroom door lock was broken and not fixed over the 3 days we were there. The breakfast wasn't bad but not having plates one morning and not having staff that can speak English it makes it difficult. Pool was green and could not be used. Upside is the AC worked well in the Austin heat.

Great hotel for an extended stay. I like being able to have coffee or tea in the lobby at almost anytime. Staff is helpful. Our room was clean and was serviced when we asked for it. Laundry service is free, but they ran out of laundry supplies. We had to purchase our own. The bed was ver comfortable. Pull out sofa bed was ok. Having a kitchenette was convenient. Nice size fridge, microwave, some counter space and sink plus dishwasher.

Pool was green dirty; humodity smell in rooms; wasnt assigned to the requested king size bed studio they were sold out or so; breakfast limited items/run out off eggs, bread, butter. We arrived at 830am since they serve til 9am but noticed at 852am they were closing down.

There was not outside lighting. I arrived at 8:30 pm and -0- lights outside. The person at the desk said it was something about the time change. Same thing the next night. I am handicapped and at risk for a fall. Unacceptable!

It was a nice clean place to stay. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The only thing was the pool was not clean or able to be used. I'd stay here again.

My only complaint is the pool was not working in July in Texas with kids expecting a pool. It was insanely hot as it usually is at this time. We would have gotten another hotel had we known the pool was not available for use. They could have provided alternatives with other pools associated with their hotels. The coffee pods didn't match the coffee machine. Other than that, we enjoyed the room. Staff was nice and accommodating.

Only 1 elevator was working which made the wait time for an elevator sometimes 20 minutes. The breakfast was very poorly stocked every morning and when we asked for anything, were told what they had was already out (with several hours left to go). The room had 1 fork in the drawer with 2 spoons & 4 knives. The bathroom door was almost impossible to open and close!

I told the front desk several times that the shampoo, conditioner and body was was out in my room. It was never refilled and they didnt give me anything to use at the time either. Bathroom door was broken they did a quick fix. I had to ask for towels and they said they would take them to my room never delivered to me either. The pool and the washer were out of order and no timeframe of when they would be fixed. Upset with the service given by the front desk and just ignoring the problems.

Likes Easy check in! No wait! Friendly staff! Fair price! Like $165 Dislikes Dirty lobby, stained carpets everywhere! Worn look, furniture was worn out!!!

When we booked we planned to pay cash upon arrival. Then we got an email about a "contactless check-in." Seriously, who wants that? Then we arrived and the front desk clerk said they cannot accept cash. Guy said they didn't even have a way to take cash. Additionally, the floors in the room were filthy dirty; as in shoes sticking to the floor as you walk. Mopped the tile in the entry and bathroom with some soap but the carpet was super disgusting and nothing we could do about that. Got tons of texts asking for reviews and how our stay was going but we were busy doing what we came into town for so not time to give comments about the room, move or to deal with it beyond bearing through and leaving as quickly as possible. Yuck!

There were cockroaches in our hotel room. No towels. Very dirty bathroom. Poor customer service.

This was an absolutely dump. Dirty, A/C fan didn't work, shower door was off track, mattress sagged and was horrible. I woke up every morning with a back ache. And, cockroaches!!

Clean place, nice people

The room was not very clean. Some of the furniture probably needs to be replaced. Shower was very dirty. During my stay, the power went out for several hours in the middle of the night. Room was a bit damp. Silverware and plates were not clean. There was also a loud screeching noise seemingly coming from the pipes in adjoining rooms. I stayed here a year ago and did not have any of these experiences which is why I chose it again, but this experience was disappointing.

Great location next to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Rooms have refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and utensils, etc if needed. Overall a great property that is clean, quiet with a friendly staff.

The hotel is run down not clean inside or outside noisy room broken appliances breakfast buffet not good. Overall don’t recommend really sad for a Hilton

I thought I had reserved a one bedroom - instead I got a room with a curtain to divide the room. The first room we got smelled like smoke then the next room we got was downstairs, but bathroom door did not close properly. The downstairs room was clean, and the couch wasn't too bad to sleep on; however, I had to go to sleep when my son went to bed at 9 because there was only a curtain to divide the bedroom from the sofa. In short there was not much privacy, and which was the reason I had reserved the one bedroom

The air conditioner was great. My last hotel never could cool down in the room and this was frosty! Packing was super easy. It also had a small kitchen which would been needed if my conference wasn't providing meals. I'd stay here again.

Needs a bit of updating, but otherwise, it was a good stay. Shower was warm, not as hot as I would like.

Review of Home2 Suites by Hilton Cedar Park (July 11-14, 2024) We recently stayed at Home2 Suites by Hilton Cedar Park from July 11-14, booking two rooms through Expedia: a Studio Suite King and a Studio Queen with 2 beds. Unfortunately, upon arrival at 3 pm, those rooms were not available. Instead, we were moved to a 1 Queen with a sofa and a 1 Queen Bed Studio. One of the queen rooms was not properly cleaned and felt outdated, with dirty sheets and a less-than-ideal bathroom. The other room, however, was clean. We were promised to be moved to our reserved rooms by noon on Friday, but they were not ready until after 2 pm. After finally moving, both rooms were clean and refreshing. A word of caution: if you book through Expedia, Home2 Suites seems to prioritize direct bookings from their members, so the room you paid for might not be available upon arrival. Despite these issues, Sienna at the front desk and Greg did everything to make our stay comfortable, providing great customer service. However, the phone lines were down, and the internet service was horrible.

First room smelled of sewage. Second room was ok. Couch uncomfortable and looked old. Could not sleep due to excessive noise from room above me- running, stomping, banging. Told management next morning and was basically blown off

Everything was great, especially breakfast! The only complaint is that the room looked older than expected. The door to the restroom was a heavy sliding door that seemed outdated and the wood around the dishwasher was exposed and not painted.

When I entered my room it wasn’t ready. The bed wasn’t made and the room wasn’t cleaned. I called to the front desk and they came up 15 minutes later with a key to the 4th floor. It smelled of dogs and on that floor dogs were barking so I couldn’t sleep. Also I could never get on the internet even though they gave me a promo code. Disappointing!

Run down room. Lamp missing from wall, smelled like weed, window blind messed up n water damage where the wallpaper is peeling underneath that same window.

My stay was part of a 2-week business/family trip, so this review mixed some recognitions (wins), opportunities for improvement and needs immediate improvement. Recognition-Wins: •Staff were friendly at all times and allowed me to check in early. •Always checked in on us to ensure that we had everything we needed and was willing to accommodate when/if asked. Opportunities for improvement: •On 6/1, My wife asked the day shift front desk clerk for the complimentary bottles of water that Hilton provides its Rewards Members and she was told that “they don’t do that at this location” and charged the bottle of water to the room, I spoke with the evening shift front desk clerk regarding this and he stated that that information was incorrect so he removed the fee from my room charge. •Corrective action recommended: Retrain the entire staff on the Hilton rewards policy. Needs immediate improvement: •Site breakfast was horrible each time we ate at the hotel!! Recommendation-Rotate your entrees periodically as most of your breakfast sandwiches were extremely hard and had to be split up or separated to eat them. •Automatic Blinds were inoperable twice, we contacted the front desk to resolve the issue but the maintenance personnel could not fix the issue until the next day. Recommendation-Implement routine maintenance, and check the functionality of your automated blinds in all the rooms and replaced the batteries as needed. I will be sending this to Hilton Corporate office as well.

The room I booked was not available and the hotel key system wasn’t working. I observed the front desk lie repeatedly about the system and the rooms. It appears they do this a lot .. not having the room you book and pay for available. Bait and switch

Room was not ready at 3:00 pm check in time and told closer to 5:00 pm. But was given a 2 hour late check out time so that made up for it. Cookies at check in is a nice touch. The breakfast was good with plenty of options. There was not a Do Not Disturb hanger on our door or in the room. Went to front desk and they were out but person said he'd put our room on the list to not be serviced until we checked out.

Great convenient hotel. Clean. Breakfast was adequate. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I have been to Austin three times, first stay was at this hotel and had a great experience, second time we tried another hotel and it was ok, we decided to stay at this hotel again because of the experience the first time around, we get in our room late to find out the TV is not working, because it was so late I didn’t call the front desk, the next morning I reported it and was told they would tell the maintenance guy, we waited all day and the guy never showed, I go back down that night and say something to the lady at the desk and she told me he didn’t come in until Monday which was to late, she did offer to change rooms for us but it was to late and we were leaving the next morning at 6. I was very disappointed with this stay and will consider another hotel on my next trip to Austin.

I stayed here for a work trip, and it was great. Front desk staff was incredible! Great customer service. It was very clean and appealing. Will definitely book again if I’m in the area.

The service was very poor.

The hotel was clean and in the perfect area for what our needs were. The biggest disappointment was that the breakfast that was supposed to be available was less than satisfactory; they were always out of everything and no real excuses or fixes. Upon my arrival, it was discovered that the general manager had somehow checked me in a day earlier than I was arriving and then somehow cancelled my reservation all together. The person at check in, Shi, was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me out, giving me a room and assuring me she would figure it out and followed through with her promise. In the morning, when breakfast was a mess, Regina, who was not part of the crew, tried her best to accommodate (because the kitchen crew was really making no effort) and always with a smile on her face. The general manager was less than personable and did not even make an effort to greet when standing at the front desk, even when Regina was helping multiple people, so that was kind of disappointed...honestly, the best part of the stay was the incredible hospitality of Shi and Regina. It is disappointing...expected more from a Hilton property.

Our stay started out on a bad note. We arrived at 3:30 PM to check in becuase their web site said check in was at 3:00 PM. We were told we couldn't check in because they needed to finish our room. We had to leave our luggage behind the counter because we didn't want to leave it in our truck, with the 100+ degree temps, and didn't want someone to break in. We were finally about to get into our room at 4:45 PM. We got into our room and at least it was cool. We put our things down and started to rest when we kept hearing a 'beeping' sound. It took us a while to find that it was the dishwasher. The cycle had been stopped without the rest of the cycle being cancelled. Finally, there was a wall fixture for the AC and we didn't discover until morning that the wall fixture was not connected and the controlls were in the window unit. We will not stay here ever again.

Hotel was great. The location was middle of many stores and restaurants. Room was clean and cozy. Would stay again and recommend to friends and family.

Lights in the parking lot were not on at sunset or until I complained. Loud music after 11:00. Refrigerator and shower heat lamp didn’t work. Grout on floor was a mess.

The hotel was decent. The staff was nice. The breakfast was a one star breakfast. Tasteless, overcooked food. Coffee was decent. Dogs allowed which is great. Hotel was clean. The “pet area” needs some fertilizer and trash pickup. And there aren’t any bags in the dog waste trashcan. If they are going to charge $50 to have dogs, at least accommodate them. I paid almost $400 for 2 nights…I expect a little bit more. But, overall ok hotel!

I didn’t see a question asking about the breakfast. The attendant was always pleasant about warming up our eggs, (they were cold) For some reason no juice was available for the 3 days we were there.

We stayed for 7 nights and it was a comfortable home away from home. Breakfast was okay. The staff at the desk were always friendly and helpful. The air conditioner worked pretty well, thank goodness! I would come back.

Came in late, around 11 pm, and the front desk lady was nice and friendly. Found my reservation and gave me my room in minutes. The hotel was clean, the room was big like a small studio. There was free WIFI and cable TV. Continental breakfast included all the basics. I slept so placidly and will definitely come back

Very nice stay with a nice breakfast. Only down point was getting my room cleaned. Policy is every 3 days unless scheduled, which I did but no luck.
