A stopover in Avignon and what a magnificent discovery with its charming old town dominated by such an immense and important historic relic of the Palais des Papes, all the more pleasant to explore in this in-between-tourist-inflows season with its so beautiful weather! And especially staying in this gem of an elegant ground floor apartment with a private terrace overlooking a very flowery and quiet garden - a perfect place to relax after a day's program and to reflect upon... I leave you to choose. The inn is part of a former Augustinian monastery and has quite a unique intimate feel which you come across rarely while travelling. Sitting in the garden - you almost feel the soul and spirit of this 13th-century sanctuary. A recommendation not to miss! Special thanks to Patrick for his warmest and kindest care, tips and recommendations! My only regret is not staying longer.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely property! The location was perfect, and the next morning we enjoyed a vibrant street market with fresh produce and local crafts. The home was very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful garden. Sabine and Patrick were incredibly warm and welcoming. We already look forward to returning!

Patrick was the consummate host in this beautifully renovated monastery. All the sites and sweet streets are a short walk away. Free Parking is outside the walls of Avignon served by an easy free shuttle. The breakfast was delicious including homemade brioche. The room was very comfortable, large with a little kitchenette We would come back in a heartbeat.

This B&B was amazing! It is located in the heart of Avignon in a former Augustine monastery. The rooms are well designed and modern. They all face a courtyard with a lush garden and ours had a kitchen and incorporated architectural elements from the monastery. The couple that run it are delightful and helped us through our stay. We spent lots of time enjoying the courtyard, which is where breakfast is served.

Beautiful courtyard garden in the heart of the walled area in Avignon. All the key attractions are walking distance from Aux Augustine. The staff, Sabine, was very welcoming and helpful. There is free parking outside of the walls, be sure to ask the staff about it. We loved our stay and the room was wonderful.

Nous avons été très bien reçus, c'est notre deuxième séjour à la maison des Augustins. Le cadre est idyllique, l'accueil chaleureux, les hôtes sont adorables. Le petit jardin intérieur est calme et ensoleillé, les chambres ont ce charme à l'ancienne tout en étant parfaitement équipées. Nous recommandons aux amateurs de beaux endroits d'y séjourner.

Such a lovely stay in a beautiful historic building - fantastic walkable location... but more so, Patrick was welcoming, kind, accommodating ... had the most beautiful and delicious breakfast wonderfully prepared by hi lovely wife. On a choisi la chambre mansarde. On ne pensait pas que la hauteur de plafond était si basse et le passage étroit... il s’agit d’un bout de mansarde. La literie laisse à désirer pour une literie de qualité supérieure… un drap plat sur une alèse, 2 coussins avec des alèses plastifiés pas confortable et pour se couvrir un drap simple (plaid disponible mais pas assez chaud). Le coton égyptien ne fait pas tout. On s’est gelé à devoir se lever en pleine nuit pour s’habiller plus chaudement pour une nuit de mai. Alors oui on aurait pu mettre le chauffage mais une petite couette aurait été largement suffisante. La VMC de la sdb donne dans la chambre. Savon… oui pour les mains et un flacon gel douche à usage “public” Cadum. Si vous faites plus d’1m70 vous ne pouvez pas utiliser la douche, car le plafond est en pente. Pas de rideau de douche du coup le sol est trempé… La baignoire a un fond avec une marche qui rend les douches dangereuses… Penderie si on peut appeler ça une penderie… On avait accès a une petite terrasse avec vu sur le clocher, qui était appréciable. Dans l’ensemble la chambre était propre. 143.92€ la nuit c’est un peu cher pour un 20m2 sachant que plus de la moitié de l’espace est susceptible de vous donner une bosse ou deux… prévenir la clientèle de la hauteur des plafonds devrait être du bon-sens.

This is one of the best stays we have had in France! Patrick and Sabine were very kind and patient, especially with parking and check-in. We were pleasantly impressed with the cleanliness of the room as well as the quiet courtyard and room decor. Overall, a refreshing and relaxing experience and would come back next time when we are in town. *Highly recommended!

Patrick was very helpful, and the room was charming, clean, and quiet. The area is perfect and very walkable - shopping, dining, and a market were right outside of the front door. Patrick and Sabine's property was dreamy and I would highly recommend to anyone!

We had an elegant room on a beautifully designed inner courtyard. It was quiet and extremely comfortable. The hosts Patrick and Sabine are friendly, helpful and welcoming. In short, this is a wonderful place to stay!

Perfect location!! Check in was simple, and the lady was fabulous. All the things are there to stay for a few days, including dishes, a small fridge, and even a corkscrew! That’s only if you tire of the many great restaurants right outside the door! The place is darling and totally enjoyable. Definitely would recommend staying here to anyone!

Netter, deutsch sprechender Service. Gute, zentrale, sehr ruhige Lage in ehemaligem Kloster. Schöner Innenhof (Garten). Eher karge, aber zweckmässige Zimmerausstattung. Bilder auf Hotels.com nicht korrekt, weil teilweise Privaträume abgebildet sind. Kommunikation über Hotels.com-Portal betreffend Ankunftszeit etc. funktionierte nicht. Trotzdem würden wir diese Unterkunft wieder wählen und weiterempfehlen.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely property! The location was perfect, and the next morning we enjoyed a vibrant street market with fresh produce and local crafts. The home was very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful garden. Sabine and Patrick were incredibly warm and welcoming. We already look forward to returning!

Patrick was the consummate host in this beautifully renovated monastery. All the sites and sweet streets are a short walk away. Free Parking is outside the walls of Avignon served by an easy free shuttle. The breakfast was delicious including homemade brioche. The room was very comfortable, large with a little kitchenette We would come back in a heartbeat.

Patrick was very helpful, and the room was charming, clean, and quiet. The area is perfect and very walkable - shopping, dining, and a market were right outside of the front door. Patrick and Sabine's property was dreamy and I would highly recommend to anyone!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aux Augustins. It was a last minute booking due a change in circumstances and we could not have been happier. The historic building is so interesting, the decor and renovations very tasteful and comfortable. Patrick is the most accommodating host. Breakfast was delicious comprising of fresh fruit, meats, cheese, cereal, bread, pastries as well as homemade yoghurt and brioche. We could not fault this B&B and recommend a stay.

Such a lovely stay in a beautiful historic building - fantastic walkable location... but more so, Patrick was welcoming, kind, accommodating ... had the most beautiful and delicious breakfast wonderfully prepared by hi lovely wife. Room was comfortable, felt local and not box hotel-like, cool in the summer heat. Loved our stay here ... what a find!

Hotel was fantastic! The host couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. Gave us our room early and stored luggage after checkout. Also gave fantastic recommendations for restaurants and day trips in the area. Breakfast was great. Could not have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend!

This B&B was amazing! It is located in the heart of Avignon in a former Augustine monastery. The rooms are well designed and modern. They all face a courtyard with a lush garden and ours had a kitchen and incorporated architectural elements from the monastery. The couple that run it are delightful and helped us through our stay. We spent lots of time enjoying the courtyard, which is where breakfast is served.

Besonders gut hat uns das Frühstück in dem wunderschönen Innenhof gefallen. Die Besitzer waren ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel war in sehr guter Lage und fußläufig alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erreichen.

It was difficult to have to park our car in a garage so far from the hotel. Also, climbing three flights of stairs! The hotel was charming, never the less.

I found our room to be very spacious, equipped with a small kitchen. The location of the hotel was wonderful. Best of all, the air conditioning worked very well. Excellent stay!

Perfect location!! Check in was simple, and the lady was fabulous. All the things are there to stay for a few days, including dishes, a small fridge, and even a corkscrew! That’s only if you tire of the many great restaurants right outside the door! The place is darling and totally enjoyable. Definitely would recommend staying here to anyone!

La bâtisse est magnifique, pleine de caractère, avec un patio fleuri et arboré absolument ravissant, parfait pour se détendre. L’emplacement en plein centre-ville est idéal pour découvrir les environs à pied. Le petit déjeuner était copieux et délicieux, avec des produits frais et de qualité. Un lieu paisible et authentique que nous recommandons vivement !

Très bon établissement. Chambre parfaite et très jolie. Très confortable. Accueil très chaleureux. Un petit bémol sur le petit déjeuner qui est strictement identique pendant tout le séjour. Réalisé avec des produits frais il est délicieux mais manque de choix et de diversité. Cela ne retire rien aux bons moments passés.

This was a lovely, peaceful property where we could unwind from our other travels. The little town was completely walkable and welcoming. The market is a "must" for anyone coming to this town.
