Location was excellent. Staff friendly; allows you to be self-sufficient by requesting services when needed. Pool was well maintained and clean. wifi - good.

Lovely palm fringed area with lounges for guests. Direct access and views of the water. Sadly, the neighboring "beach club" is noisy and intrusive on weekends. Didn\'t use to be that way. Sigh.

We always enjoy our stay here. We love the beach area and lounging by the pool in the shade. The rooms are always perfectly clean. No complaints!

Location is amazing. Close to everything yet at the quiet end of town. Only a 10 minute walk to tons of restaurants, the square, the grocery store. Staff was pleasant but weren't proactively helpful. No info was shared unless we asked, for example they do offer beach towels but we didn't know until 3 days into our stay when we asked. When we arrived our door lock, stove and TV didn't work. They responded quickly and did their best to fix them but many things in this hotel need to be upgraded/replaced. The hotel inside and out is very clean. Housekeeping upon request only. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioning in the bedroom worked well but since it's only in the bedroom made it difficult to cook as it was so hot in the main living area. Wifi was strong in the bedroom only and would drop in the main living area, so if you're planning to work from the property you'd be confined to the bedroom. There is a small pool which is clean and pretty but it is not heated. Good for a quick dip. The beach is clean and wide, lots of space. We upgraded to an ocean front room and the view was spectacular, especially at sunrise. Most of the lounge chairs they have were broken. Some zipties would quickly solve the issue so I'm not sure why they haven't been repaired. Overall we enjoyed the property but the dealbreaker for me was the shower. Very little water pressure, sometimes only a dribble. After a day of sand, salt water and heat, it was really tough to get clean in this shower.

We stayed in the building right on a beautiful beach. Walking distance to town. Pretty run down. Right next to public access to the beach, many people would come and camp right in front on the beach chairs.

The inset beach area is wonderfully protected from the wind and perfect for a more quiet resting area.

Fantastic Accomodation. Right on the beach. Our kitchen was perfect. Staff is the best. Nice pool to cool off. Everything you need.

HAD to upgrade. Had Junior Room. Extremely small. Hotel has 2 seperate buildings. One is across a small street where pool, 10x5, is., unusable. Suite was beautiful, balcony with spiral staircase to beach.

The suite which we were allocated was disappointing and very shabby. The electrical fittings were exposed, the outside blinds for the door to the balcony were damaged so that they could not be closed, the curtains were stained and falling apart, and did not keep out the light. There was no automatic servicing, and 24 hours notice was required to order service (not useful when you only are there for three nights!) The mattress was rather hard. The location was good, and the little private beach OK. The pool was in a neighbouring building one block back, and not at all attractive

There are two buildings associated with this hotel. One is on the beach, the other is across the alley from the first building. Ideal to be in the on-the-beach building. The alley building has the tiny pool. There should be more lounge chair for guests available because the people staying in the first building left their towels on the chairs to claim them from day to day. Positives - it was quiet and easy to walk to restaurants down the street.

We had bath towels with holes and sheets with red stains on them. He had a bug in are bed and the sime night. I went to the bathroom and there were small roaches on the wall. The next day i book a room somewhere else and told them why we were living. I will never stay there again.

Price was ok. Area was secluded. When we arrived the toilet in our room was clogged up. I was told we could use toilet in pool area across the road. The next day they moved us to a different room with working toilet. There were restaurants within walking distance on the beach, which was nice. All in all for the money it was ok. Staff was friendly, and helpful. Room had ants.

Shower was almost non-existent - shower head was so far above and water pressure so poor, barely useable. The smell of sewer in the bathroom was often overwhelming!!! No one ever came to clean room or empty trash - had to ask for the one time the cleaning was done! Did note several cockroaches in kitchen. Wi-Fi was poor and spotty. Even though we requested help in getting our luggage downstairs (and a young man was standing by when request was made), no one ever came to assist. Would NOT stay at this hotel again and the price point was way too high for this property. Staff, overall, was pleasant enough and the premise felt safe.

We stayed in the old part of hotel - room 114. Possibly the newer building would be better. We had one towel for 4 days 3 nights . Shower was in a Closet with wooden door and leaked water all over room- which was surprising any water got out as the shower barely trickled water. I can pee harder than that 😳 Couldn’t even rinse soap off- (by the way we had to go to grocery store and buy a bar of soap- so bring a bar …nothing is provided for shower. We did appreciate the 5L drinking water that was provided. We never got maid service once so our bathroom trash was overflowing with toilet paper - as they don’t want you to flush it. A daily cleaning and empty of that trash would’ve been appreciated . The beach was enjoyable and the pool at the other building seemed okay. About 60 % of beach chairs have backs that work - 40% broken. The bed was very hard - enough to sleep a couple hours per night. And the curtains are very thin so outside lights shined in all night. Felt like daylight while trying to rest. Also, when using bathroom sink it leaks underneath so your feet will get soaking wet and floors slippery. Reception staff was nice. Won’t be back to stay here. We will come back to puerto Morelos as it was lovely. Quaint and clean town- nice locals- bikes to rent - snorkeling first class -

This is a very run down condo. Furniture is dirty and beat up. The door is very flimsy. The staff are rude and dismissive. The good thing is that it is directly on the beach with beautiful views.

Room service only clean when you request.If you stay over 2 days you will need to ask for soap , toilet paper and shampoo.Beach was great , grocery store 5 blocks away .I will recommend.

Spent 9 nights in February. Room was clean and had all the advertised amenities. Staff were polite and helpful. Beach was right there and beautiful. Location was quiet and only a few minute walk to anywhere. Really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed six days and did not have hot water for showers or washing throughout the stay. One of the days the water in the shower completely stopped and another day the toilet leaked. Staff responded quickly to fix both of these issues. The kitchen had many ants so all food items had to be kept in the fridge. The view from our room was beautiful and just steps away from the beach. Lawn chairs were available for us to use at any time.

If you want to stay right on the beach this is the perfect spot. The rooms are in need of an update but the bed is big and comfy. We stayed in one of the rooms at the back of the hotel so no sea view. There was a good little kitchen area with a supermarket nearby. It was nice being able to bring drinks and snacks down to the beach.

We stayed in #103. The condo was definitely neglected, many tiles throughout were chipped, appliances were a bit rusted. The furniture was old. The mattress was probably the worst mattress we've ever slept on. We took the mattress from the 2nd bed and put it on top of the other and it was a little better. A lot of sleepless hours during each night. The spout for the bottle of water they had worked poorly and was messy (lots of spilled water), If you need more water during your stay, it's 40 pesos. The door lock for the front door is possibly the worst lock ever, plus you need a key for the front door, the sliding door and the safe, so carrying 3 keys around all day is the norm. Dori at the front desk was nice, the beach was great and the ocean view from our condo was fantastic. We wouldn't stay here again.

We stayed in the annex building, corner room on the first floor. Dark and plain, small window that looks into the building next door and is covered with plastic grass. Old furniture. Although a large shower it was very uncomfortable because the shower head comes straight down from the high ceiling, the water shot towards the wall and it could not be adjusted. Good cable but old tv. Good air-conditioning. Late check out is available for 50 dollars. Reception staff tries to be funny but they are all about getting your money. We stayed here this time because when we stayed here before we got a good rate for a suite in the building on the beach. This time we got a high rate and crappy room in the annex building across the street. Doubt that we will stay here a 3rd time.

The room we booked was indeed tiny and in the Annex building however the photos online are misleading…the room was dark and in a corner. The size was so small barely a bed could fit. The window was blocked which meant no place to exit if an emergency occurred. We only stayed 10 minutes and checked out. Unfortunately we will still charged for half of our stay….this is not a suitable room and should not even be considered one, especially at the price that was charged.

They need to add a/c units in the front rooms. Only the bedrooms have AC.

Spacious apartment and well equipped. Furniture a bit dated, and difficult to keep the property cool - aircon in the bedroom but not the living area. Having said that it was in a great location overlooking the beach and plenty of seats outside. I’d recommend overall.

Old and dated. Only one AC in the bedroom. So the living area and kitchen, were very warm. The microwave did not work and the bathroom door was broken

The staff went above and beyond. My husband became sick (nothing to do with Mexico or the hotel) and needed an ambulance. The staff were so incredibly helpful, empathetic, and concerned. They helped me with transportation back and forth from the hospital in Cancun. Plus: I don't speak but a few words of Spanish, so it's great that the front desk staff speak English. I can't thank them enough. Arrecifes Suites is just a great place - right on the beach. Such a beautiful locale. We've stayed here before and will definitely stay here again.

Clean neat the staff was amazing and the A/c was pumping!!!!

The room was very clean and organized for our arrival. The staff, as always, were friendly and assisted when needed. We will certainly be returning to this property.

Ive stayed at this hotel a handful of times. I moved 3 times . The reason I moved - air conditioning. I finally asked to Be moved into the room I normally stay in and the problem was resolved. The front desk clerks were wonderful, especially the woman that I see every time I come. She is happy to see guests . That speaks volumes. 😊

Staff were excellent, very helpful and very friendly. The beach area was great, and the room was right on the beach. I loved the little grassy area between the room and the beach. I really enjoyed my stay.

The beach is right there - from our room just steps away. Very quiet part of town, just a 10 minute walk from the town square. Great restaurants in this part of town too! You have to request housekeeping services, otherwise you're on your own - but making the request was easily done. Great to have a kitchen!

We’ve stayed here several times. The location is fantastic and we love their beach area. It’s not luxury but it’s clean, safe and walkable to everything Puerto Morelos has to offer.

Hotel pequeño y limpio. Con muy hermosa salida a la playa y servicios básicos de muy buena calidad. Personal muy amable. Poco estacionamiento propio pero opciones cercanas para tu carro. Todo se puede recorrer caminando!!!

Stayed one night here and it was ok. Room was comfortable. Pool was great. There was a jug of drinkable water in the room that we did not use as we don’t know how long that water has been sitting in there. It’s a nice gesture, but I would have preferred a small bottle of water. The shower really sucked. The showerhead was pretty clogged up and came from the ceiling that was really high. It was almost impossible to wash my hair with such little streams of water We stayed in the second building so we had to cross the street to access the beach. There were beach chairs available for guests and the ocean water was beautiful. Not many people on that side of the beach. There’s no where to eat close by. You have to walk about five blocks away to hit the restaurants. Downtown is just a few more blocks away. If you like to walk, it’s doable.

We stayed at Hotel Arrecifes from February 24 to March 02. It was an excellent vacation and the accommodation was excellent and as advertised. The staff were very friendly at check-in and really any time throughout our stay. We were in building 2 which is a couple minute walk to the beach with full access to the beach chairs. Our room was a 1 bedroom junior suite with a city view. The room was big with a nice sitting area. The kitchen had everything we need to make our own meals as needed. We were allowed to stay a little longer in our room after check-out as our flight was not leaving until 20:00. So that was great. Our only minor concern was that the mattress was much firmer than we were used to but that a general issue at most accommodations. Overall, it was an excellent experience. If you want a clean, convenient and affordable accommodation without then I would recommend Hotel Arrecifies. We would definitely stay here again.

There are 12 beachfront suites with nice decks. A nice property on the edge of town for a good price. There is limited dining nearby. The staff were very helpful.

La propiedad se nota que ya tiene sus años, pero la mantienen funcional y sobre todo limpia, la habitación que nos dieron tenía vista al mar, pero siento que su precio fue algo elevado. Habían focos que no funcionaba y el ventilador de la sala no era funcional, cabe mencionar que quería ofrecernos la opción de cambiar de habitación, decidimos quedarnos en la que nos dieron ya que a donde nos querían mandar notamos que alado habían huéspedes algo ruidosos. En general la pasamos bien, deberían pensar en la posibilidad de vender alimentos y bebidas ya que si quieres algo debes comprar en el Chedraui para que puedas cocinar en la habitación o si lo prefieres puedes caminar a una tienda que está a 5 cuadras. Un detalle que no nos agradó tanto es que la alberca se encontraba en otro edificio, separado del mar, para ir a la alberca tienes que cruzar una pequeña calle. En general la pasamos bien ya que fuimos a un restaurante cercano y el hotel te da la opción de usar los camastros al estar en la playa, ojo, compren algo para beber ya que si compras en el Beach club que está alado, los precios son algo elevados.

Fantastic little beach area shaded from palm trees and palapas. Good rooms, clean, housekeeping available. Great spot walkable to town and restaurants. Wouldn’t advise paying for no refund transportation to/from airport with flight delays so prevalent these days.

It’s all about the beachfront!! Wonderful sea views and literally 40 steps to the beach. The accommodation is quite modest. Kitchen facilities could be developed.

This was a nice escape from the busy activity of resort life. We were looking for a quiet place right on the beach and this was perfect! We chose the ocean view room which was large and had a beautiful view with a balcony to hang out and enjoy. We divided our time between the beach and the small pool accessible across the street. The staff was helpful and the other guests were quiet. We easily walked into town to discover restaurants or get groceries to stock the fridge. This is a great choice for independent travelers looking for a comfortable space to make their home for a little while.
