Blocks from most of the shops and main areas. Smaller rooms. Staff was accommodating. Restaurant has good pricing but not open daily. Parking is not on location, but about 8 minute walk. Was hard with luggage n toddler. The hotel was able to schedule transport to the airport.

Aurora Hotel is clean, with a helpful staff and a restaurant. We stayed for 10 days, and the hotel was not ideal for such a long period because there was not enough room to work while one person was sleeping. I'd go there again for a day or two. The location is ideal for tourists visiting Oaxaca. A couple of very minor issues: There were only two electrical outlets (plus one in the bathroom), which is not enough when traveling with digital devices. The patios off the third and fourth floors looked appealing in the hotel's pictures, and might be great for an after-dark drink, but the patios are south-facing. The table umbrellas don't provide shade, and so it is very hot. The beds' mattresses were very firm, which we liked, but not everyone will.

El hotel está aceptable, en una buena zona del centro de Oaxaca, sin embargo, el estacionamiento está a cinco cuadras de distancia, no te advierten que tiene costo sino hasta el último momento, en el estacionamiento es obligatorio dejar la llave y si les comentas que tienes objetos en el coche, no se hacen responsables de nada.

We only stayed one night and the restaurant looked good but was closed on Sunday. Excellent location! The hotel was very clean and comfortable. There was noise from a nightclub but we ignored it and slept well.

en general están agradables las instalaciones, pero algunos detalles no nos agradaron, como el bar que esta a un lado genera mucho ruido, y la cama donde dormimos tenia pulgas al parecer o chinches

This was an unpleasant stay for three reasons. Firstly, this is NOT a three-star hotel, maybe a two-star one. It is very worn out, so no amount of cleaning can make it look appealing. Nothing works well: not much hot water and no heating. Secondly, we were put in a basement room with a "view" of the cleaning storage closet and next to the kitchen. At other hotels, such rooms are given at half price with a notification of the conditions, not as full-priced ones. When we asked to change the room the next day, they initially said yes, and then calls were made to some higher-up management who said no, so we insisted, and we got a new room after some calss. This is NOT the fault of the staff but of whoever the management who picks up the phone is. Thirdly, the hotel is next to a bar that has loud music till 4-5am in the morning. The only nice thing about the hotel is closeness to the city center.

The location is great, but the hotel room needs some improvement. I got warm water 1 out of 4 times, the other times was lukewarm. I know it isn't uncommon, but it's good to know in advance. It's a decent hotel, but far from great. You can book bus tours directly from the hotel.

Muy bonito lugar con lindas habitaciones e instalaciones, cuenta con aire acondicionado y lo del cafe de cortesia fue un lindo detalle. Lo unico a mejorar quizas sea colchones un poco mas suaves pero nos gusto mucho. Si volveriamos a hospedarnos en una proxima visita.

La atención a la llegada muy mala ya que las recepcionistas estaban aparentemente haciendo balance, atención mecánica e impersonalizada. Con el calor que predominó las camas como de hospital el colchón forrado de hule o plástico. No hay necesidad de sauna amaneces bañado en sudor. El menú del restaurante incompleto no había lo que se pidió lamentablemente no lo recomiendo.

La atención a la llegada muy mala ya que las recepcionistas estaban aparentemente haciendo balance, atención mecánica e impersonalizada. Con el calor que predominó las camas como de hospital el colchón forrado de hule o plástico. No hay necesidad de sauna amaneces bañado en sudor. El menú del restaurante incompleto no había lo que se pidió lamentablemente no lo recomiendo.

We only stayed one night and the restaurant looked good but was closed on Sunday. Excellent location! The hotel was very clean and comfortable. There was noise from a nightclub but we ignored it and slept well.

Convenient place, location is awesome, close to Zocalo, short walking distance to a lot of places to visit, eat and explore. And totally safe area including late night hang outs in the area. Only thing is it read there was washer available to wash our clothing, but I was told that it was not, or wasn't working. But it would be great if washer & dryer was available, specially if guest are there for more than few days.
