The hotel is well-maintained and in a good location. The staff was friendly, helpful, and honest. The room isn't large, but it's big enough for two people. The bathroom is spacious, but the lack of a closed shower stall causes the floor to get wet every time you shower. I don't recommend the breakfast. There were few options, and almost no fruit.

So, this is a nice hotel, but you should be aware that there is a MASSIVE construction project on the street right next to the hotel and that they are tearing up the park across the street. None of this was told to us. The problem is that taxi's have no idea how to get to the hotel, and so they drop you off about half a mile away, which is all kinds of fun when you have luggage. Also, we aware that construction noises start at 7:00 am six days a week. And we are talking HEAVY equipment--diggers, bulldozers, etc. It's awful. And when you bring it up to the staff, you get that amazing resigned shrug and the response, yes it was supposed to be over 2 months ago. And I can tell you that based on what I saw, they will be lucky to conclude by Christmas. Also, other stores and bares in the area have closed due to the project. The breakfast is great and the rooms are decent sized--with tall ceilings. The light is terrific, but you can't keep the drapes open due to the aforementioned construction. It just would have been really nice to know how bad it was and for that I blame hotel management.
