What a lovely visit! Beautiful, great service, "quiet" (waterfall is loud butvthats awesome), quirky, and we loved it! The proberty has some ongoing projects so be prepared to go over the gravel pile and past construction, but beyond all that is magical. The mountain and the driveway are hard going, but that's the case in Jamaica overall, and this is no exception. Have 4 wheel drive and drive carefully, and it's all cool.

Rooms are named, not numbered, and are themed (the Africa Room, the M.C. Escher Room, etc.) Rooms are spacious, comfortable and imaginatively decorated. Facilities include a spacious lounge, generous outdoor seating and a full self-service bar. The property includes several footpaths, including one to a waterfall. Highly recommended. The only challenge is getting there!

I stayed one night at RafJam with my mom. The property was gorgeous! There was a steam flowing through the side and rear or the property and had a cool dripping area and two mini falls. The sound of the stream, birds and beautiful flora and fauna was accident perfect for the relaxing trip we were looking for. We pre ordered dinner and breakfast was served. Both delicious. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and exceeded my expectations in this area. Suzanne the owner and Shane were very welcoming and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again but LONGER and recommend to anyone looking for something off the beaten path. Finding the place was a bit difficult and would recommend a call to the property before heading out and getting additional directions. There was also construction when we visited but that didn’t interrupt our trip. Book today and stay awhile and enjoy nature at this naturally beautiful property.

Really cool spot with a waterfall and small swimming pool on the property. No AC, but fans and cool open rooms. It’s a very difficult and long windy road to get here. Ensure that you let them know that you will want dinner before arriving as there is no where else to eat.

An eco friendly resort with a beautiful river running through property. Very relaxing and unique. You need a 4wd as drive down from redlight challenging road. Great as an alternative to Kingston for a few days. Quiet and relaxing. Accommodation is fine but not luxury. Environment is luxury. River dip is lovely and waterfall gorgeous.

The property is down a steep nearly inaccessible road right off the road entering Red Light. You need 4 wheel drive. The two guys who were here were friendly enough but overly low key. I live in JA and know the slowness of things but nothing was ready for us—no towels, no soap, after booking I was told our two bedroom room only had one bed and they could provide an air mattress. Ok but give me a discount or change the room. We waited an hour past the time we wanted dinner and there was only a small assortment of snacks —no fruit nothing. The place seems surprised to have guests. The small spring fed pool with a lovely small waterfalll, the surrounding hills and lovely flora and birds are what make this place special. The restaurant and bar are rustic and charming. It just seems that having guests is a second thought.

My second visit. Great location surrounded by interesting places to visit with some wonderful hikes around the coffee farms and streams. My room was lovely. Clean. Comfortable and had its own balcony with hammock and chairs overlooking the tropical gardens. Relaxing on the terrace listening to Reggae whilst sipping a beer was perfect. Only the sound of the stream and Bob Marley. As i wake early and go out i was permitted to make my own breakfast each day at 7am. Eggs, toast and coffee. A freindly atmosphere with a chilled-out vibe. All the staff were helpful and chatty. A salon and Spa too. Very safe at night.

Gorgeous property unlike any bed and breakfast I’ve ever stayed in! Staff is so welcoming (Suzanne is the best!!). Excellent food and hot water in the shower was a welcoming surprise. eclectic bohemian style and beautiful gardens make for a relaxing, peaceful mountain getaway. Will be returning soon!

Although it was difficult to find in the dark and wouldn't recommend traveling there in a low clearance vehicle, the place was beautiful and tranquil. Food and service was friendly and welcoming. The showers are difficult to get a warm temperature, it seemed to be either hot or cold lol, wasn't able to find a way to mix the two. But who cares when you relax on a hammock on your balcony being serenaded by the river!
Although it was difficult to find in the dark and wouldn't recommend traveling there in a low clearance vehicle, the place was beautiful and tranquil. Food and service was friendly and welcoming. The showers are difficult to get a warm temperature, it seemed to be either hot or cold lol, wasn't able to find a way to mix the two. But who cares when you relax on a hammock on your balcony being serenaded by the river!

Bad experience with susan, the owner...weird person, not doing what she said. we had to sleep in a bizar "king size" bed (two single beds with a big matelas on, hole in the middle!) with my husband and son! When i ask for an extra bed she just hin-hin me... When we check-in William said us breakfast included and when we chek out susan ask us to pay for breakfast ! In jamaica this is called hustling...bad I m very disapointed of this expérience, i came in rafjam 4 years ago and spend a great time in this amazing place but i wont come back again because of susan's attitude.

Amazing experience, a little piece of paradise in the middle of the Blue mountain. Not very accessible by car. Room and amenities were great (Internet, games, TV). Food was delicious (we ordered dinner and breakfast). My best experience during the full trip.

Quiet, secluded location, beautiful surroundings, terrific food, thoughtful staff and clean facilities. The facility is being built a section at a time and has a homey, handmade feel. Rooms are named, not numbered, and are themed (the Africa Room, the M.C. Escher Room, etc.) Rooms are spacious, comfortable and imaginatively decorated. Facilities include a spacious lounge, generous outdoor seating and a full self-service bar. The property includes several footpaths, including one to a waterfall. Highly recommended. The only challenge is getting there!

I stayed one night at RafJam with my mom. The property was gorgeous! There was a steam flowing through the side and rear or the property and had a cool dripping area and two mini falls. The sound of the stream, birds and beautiful flora and fauna was accident perfect for the relaxing trip we were looking for. We pre ordered dinner and breakfast was served. Both delicious. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and exceeded my expectations in this area. Suzanne the owner and Shane were very welcoming and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again but LONGER and recommend to anyone looking for something off the beaten path. Finding the place was a bit difficult and would recommend a call to the property before heading out and getting additional directions. There was also construction when we visited but that didn’t interrupt our trip. Book today and stay awhile and enjoy nature at this naturally beautiful property.

My second visit. Great location surrounded by interesting places to visit with some wonderful hikes around the coffee farms and streams. My room was lovely. Clean. Comfortable and had its own balcony with hammock and chairs overlooking the tropical gardens. Relaxing on the terrace listening to Reggae whilst sipping a beer was perfect. Only the sound of the stream and Bob Marley. As i wake early and go out i was permitted to make my own breakfast each day at 7am. Eggs, toast and coffee. A freindly atmosphere with a chilled-out vibe. All the staff were helpful and chatty. A salon and Spa too. Very safe at night.

Although it was difficult to find in the dark and wouldn't recommend traveling there in a low clearance vehicle, the place was beautiful and tranquil. Food and service was friendly and welcoming. The showers are difficult to get a warm temperature, it seemed to be either hot or cold lol, wasn't able to find a way to mix the two. But who cares when you relax on a hammock on your balcony being serenaded by the river!

Bad experience with susan, the owner...weird person, not doing what she said. we had to sleep in a bizar "king size" bed (two single beds with a big matelas on, hole in the middle!) with my husband and son! When i ask for an extra bed she just hin-hin me... When we check-in William said us breakfast included and when we chek out susan ask us to pay for breakfast ! In jamaica this is called hustling...bad I m very disapointed of this expérience, i came in rafjam 4 years ago and spend a great time in this amazing place but i wont come back again because of susan's attitude.

We never arrived because it's off a horrible dirt road with latge pot holes and large rocks our car got stuck the tires kept spinning in the dirt and going no where You need a 4x4 vehicle to navigate that horrible unmantained dirt road Location is on a hill far away of St Andrew city area. Not close to anything that is mentioned on Expedia When we called Raf Jam to inform them that Expedia did not say anything about a dirt road or need for a 4x4 or tall vehicle get to Raf Jam and cancel reservations because out car got stuck. She was rude non shalant to call Expedia not her. When I tried calling Expedia customer Service listed I got recording in Jamaican saying call was a long distance. I would like a refund if possible. Very upsetting and poor experience Reason why I waited a few days before submitting this review. I am also requesting for Expedia Customer service to contact me.

The property is down a steep nearly inaccessible road right off the road entering Red Light. You need 4 wheel drive. The two guys who were here were friendly enough but overly low key. I live in JA and know the slowness of things but nothing was ready for us—no towels, no soap, after booking I was told our two bedroom room only had one bed and they could provide an air mattress. Ok but give me a discount or change the room. We waited an hour past the time we wanted dinner and there was only a small assortment of snacks —no fruit nothing. The place seems surprised to have guests. The small spring fed pool with a lovely small waterfalll, the surrounding hills and lovely flora and birds are what make this place special. The restaurant and bar are rustic and charming. It just seems that having guests is a second thought.

Really cool spot with a waterfall and small swimming pool on the property. No AC, but fans and cool open rooms. It’s a very difficult and long windy road to get here. Ensure that you let them know that you will want dinner before arriving as there is no where else to eat.

An eco friendly resort with a beautiful river running through property. Very relaxing and unique. You need a 4wd as drive down from redlight challenging road. Great as an alternative to Kingston for a few days. Quiet and relaxing. Accommodation is fine but not luxury. Environment is luxury. River dip is lovely and waterfall gorgeous.

Ce qui est surtout magnifique c’est l’endroit une fois atteins car c’est en plein cœur de la nature. La végétation, les différentes espèces de plantes, c’est hyper ressourçant. Par contre il faut absoluement un 4x4 pour s’y rendre car la route est désastreuse. (On a crevé en pleine montée, il fait vraiment bien conduire pour y aller avec une citadine) du coup, impossible de bouger de là bas avec la petite voiture, ce qui fait qu’on a prit 4 bières et 2 plats locaux pour 85 dollars. C’est abusé. On avait réservé une chambre face au fleuve, balcon, en payant un supplément et on s’est retrouvé dans une chambre sans charme face à un immeuble en travaux. Quel dommage ces incommodations car le l’environnement est top.

Tres agreable sejour. Le lieu est magique. Tres bien acceuillie par Suzanne. Cependant, le petit dejeuner devait etre compris dans la reservation alors que non. Il etait d'ailleurs tres cher et pas du tout copieux. Endroit magnifique mais le diner et le petit dejeuner sont tres chers.

Dans le cadre de notre tour de l'île, nous voulions absolument passer au moins une nuit dans les blue Mountains, aucune déception quant au cadre nous aurions aimé en dire de même de ce B&B... Le RafJam est inaccessible en voiture à moins d'avoir un 4x4 et encore il ne faut pas avoir peur de le faire suer, nous avons été obligé de porter nos valises sur environ 1km de route à peine aménagée en pente .. Le personnel est serviable mais à sa convenance (ne nous a proposé aucune aide pour rejoindre la route principale malgré nos demandes), repas imposé (non précisé) portions minuscules et très couteux. Avis laissé à contre coeur car la gérante s'est montrée gentille et nous indiqué beaucoup de choses autour mais si j'avais lu cet avis, nous serions arrivés en connaissance de cause.

L'endroit est fantastique par contre le service est mauvais. Il est supposé avoir un restaurant et ce nest pas le cas, et il n'y pas de choix proche. Le déjeuner est supposé être offert mais finalement surprise, il n'y en a pas et ce n'est pas d'obtenir à manger sans faire livrer avant tel heure mais personne ne t'avise. C'est malheureux parce que le lieux est magnifique. Nous demandions seulement un café et quelque chose pour nous nourrir comme c'était indiqué.
L'endroit est fantastique par contre le service est mauvais. Il est supposé avoir un restaurant et ce nest pas le cas, et il n'y pas de choix proche. Ce qui est surtout magnifique c’est l’endroit une fois atteins car c’est en plein cœur de la nature. La végétation, les différentes espèces de plantes, c’est hyper ressourçant. Par contre il faut absoluement un 4x4 pour s’y rendre car la route est désastreuse. (On a crevé en pleine montée, il fait vraiment bien conduire pour y aller avec une citadine) du coup, impossible de bouger de là bas avec la petite voiture, ce qui fait qu’on a prit 4 bières et 2 plats locaux pour 85 dollars. C’est abusé. On avait réservé une chambre face au fleuve, balcon, en payant un supplément et on s’est retrouvé dans une chambre sans charme face à un immeuble en travaux. Quel dommage ces incommodations car le l’environnement est top.

Ein kleines Paradies. Aber kläre die Zufahrt ab. Lass dich abholen oder habe ein gutes Auto für die Strasse abseits der Newcastle Road (dirt road) und es gibt nur 1 Parkplatz! Sehr familiär und in der Natur. Jamaikanisches Frühstück war hervorragend.

Amazing experience, a little piece of paradise in the middle of the Blue mountain. Not very accessible by car. Room and amenities were great (Internet, games, TV). Food was delicious (we ordered dinner and breakfast). My best experience during the full trip.

RafJam B&B nestled in the lush green mountains of Jamaica. You WILL need a driver who knows how to get there. I will always remember our time here. If you want to feel Jamaica say here. My family and I had an exceptional 1 night stay. The space was cozy and the environment quiet and relaxing. The owner and host was a pleasure speaking to. The only issue was the limited signage especially for a night arrival.

The property itself is not bad because there is a natural waterfall on the property. That’s the only good thing I can say about this property. They have no parking on the property for guests. The road condition it terrible it’s almost impossible to get up in car without damaging your vehicle which I was not aware of prior to booking else I would never booked this place. Whoever is booking this place needs a 4*4 pick up get up there if you a regular car or taxi ur vehicle will be significantly damaged. The road condition was so terrible that once I finally got to the property that I had already paid for, I didn’t checked in and asked for a refund but they refused to that. One of the many reasons why I didn’t checked in is because my taxi driver said he will never go back up that road once he leaves because of the road condition. I had to pay for a new and to fix his front bumper from the damage that the road caused to his vehicle. This is the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had and I didn’t even checked in and was unable to get any kind of refund now even 50% back. Do not book this hotel unless you have a 4*4 pick up truck.
