Just a couple of things annoyed us. Bathroom floor was wet. Aircon blew on your face in bed. Perhaps this is only way it could be but was again annoying. Bed was uncomfortable. This could be more our opinion of a bed though. Was disappointed that no breakfast was available.

Cleanest bathroom and main room we have stayed in since we began our travels 3 weeks ago! Weve stayed at 5 motels and this one wins hands down! The addition of a microwave was very welcome as i needed to heat a wheat pack for my husbands bad back. No other motels we stayed in had that option, so thankyou!

The first thing that hits you when you enter the room is the musty smell. Then the bathroom was filthy, tiles were dirty the shower floor had Mould around the corners and shower screen had Mould, in the corner under the basin was full of Mould and the window frame had Mould and couldn't open the window to ventilate. Purchased our own bleach and disinfectant spray prior to using shower.

Staff very friendly, room clean, however there was a lot of mould on bathroom ceiling and space between bed abd bedside tables hadn't been dusted and vacuumed for a very long time. Saw a few cockroaches also. Expensive for what it was.

Generally comfortable, but maintenance left something to be desired. Broken fixture in shower meant there was nowhere to put items such as shampoo. No shelves at all in fridge, so it was difficult to store things in it.

Colonial Motor Inn was awesome. Great layout for a family, supplied everything you need, clean and tidy. Have to mention the shower pressure was AWESOME, definitely would stay here again.

Easy, quick check-in. Friendly staff. Suprisingly quiet. Nice restaurant on site. Easy parking. Close to where we were visiting (camping & caravan purchasing in Heatherbrae). Clean, functional room. Great shower. The only downside was the lumpy bed - neither of us slept well and woke up with sore necks and backs. Otherwise, great.

This is my opinion and experience staying at this hotel, the positive is it’s near the city centre and the hotel is clean. This is not enough for me to want to go for a repeat stay. The hotel has a strict 2pm check in policy, I would advise they list this in their bio so not to give false hope to potential customers. I had a wedding that started at 3pm, I did contact the property with the opportunity to check in early they said not likely as they are a motor inn and they need to clean the property. They said I could try and come in early to see but unlikely. I wanted to cancel but unknowingly there was a car show on during that period so places were booked out or extremely over priced. We decided to keep the booking and try our luck. We arrived a bit early but the hotel door to reception was locked and I was met with an abrupt man. That was just weird. Anyway, we came back at 2pm to check in. This time the couple seemed nice but I didn’t want to have a conversation just the room key as I needed to get dressed and rush to the wedding. That is my check in experience, here is my experience on Check out. Check out is at 10am, we had booked x2 rooms we left to get breakfast and returned at 9:40am to get our bags and all the hotel room doors were wide open. Our bags were exposed to anybody to walk in and take our belongings. We didn’t check out, according to policy we had until 10am. If you have a strict 2pm check in why not keep the same policy for check out at 10am.

This was a comfortable room for an overnight stay. Very quiet area and convenient to the freeway. The only minor complaint was the design of the bathroom where the door wouldn't stay open because the towel rail was behind it and the shower floor leaked. The location was great walking distance to town and a lovely walk along the river. Bathroom was renovated, the shower was excellent. Water flow strong and hot. Furnishings were dated. The biggest downside for us was the traffic noise being very close to a intersection. It was noisy late afternoon and evening then again from 5am. I chose this hotel due to reviews commenting it was quiet which it definitely wasn't.

On arrival receptionist/owner said room fee was higher than fee listed on our hotels.com confirmed booking email. We showed owner email but they were not interested in our confirmed booking email or in helping resolve issue by discussion with hotels.com. We did persist with our point several times but not in a rude manner. We finally reluctantly agreed to their terms because it was late and we had no where else to go. Later that night the receptionist's husband/owner rang me (accusing me of bullying his wife) in an arrogant, harassing and bullying manner and hanging up before allowing me to speak to tell my side of the event. I rang back but again he was bullying and hung up before I could speak. Talk about the Pot calling the Kettle black. It was very disappointing that were unwilling to provide any assistance.
