Out of town slightly but easy bus ride in avoided the hassle of finding parking in the city centre. Very popular venue locally - we had to book to get a table for dinner - the food and staff were great. Free parking on site was a bonus.

Great little hotel just outside the city centre. Had a good chat with the bartender in the evening, and enjoyed the stay in the comfortable room. No complaints, happy to have free parking out front.

We stayed here for a night and it was super cute! The hotel has an old world charm on the outside but modern twist on the inside. On the bottom floor they have a restaurant/bar. We went for dinner and breakfast and the food was excellent both times! Check in was a breeze, parking was plenty. Area was walkable.

Exceptional service from all the staff. The inn is conveniently located a short bus ride from downtown or you can walk to it in 20 minutes. The restaurant and bar was packed on our three nights - plan on a short wait if dining in or take your meal at the bar.

Vu de l'extérieur et d'en face, l'hôtel est plein de charme et plutôt sympathique, mais l'environnement n'est vraiment pas terrible. Par contre le parking est gratuit et ça c'est bien pour aller au centre de Galway à pied en 25 minutes. L'accueil a été très bien. Les points négatifs : lorsque nous sommes rentrés dans la chambre, il y avait une mauvaise odeur qui venait de la moquette. La ventilation de la salle de bain fait un bruit pas possible. Ceci dit, elle ne fonctionne que lorsque vous mettez la lumière de la salle de bain, heureusement. La vue de la fenêtre n'est vraiment pas terrible. L'ambiance générale de la chambre fait vieillotte. Par contre le lit est grand et très confortable.

The property has ample free parking and is a short walk to Galway centre. For a modern property - there are no USB plugs! I'm not sure that we got the room that we booked because it was accessible by a lift. The room was spotlessly clean. There was a strange noise but I expect we were over the kitchen.

We picked them from a mere Google search, and booked for two nights. The room was so clean & nice. When our Valentines evening stay canceled on us, they managed to keep us in our same room for an additional night. Our room was quickly serviced each morning when we went down to breakfast, and the staff was very friendly.

Beautiful, HUGE room, well appointed. The entire place was lovely and the staff were very attentive. The one MINOR issue was that our room carpet was stained and the staff didn’t vacuum it when they cleaned the room. But it was still definitely one of our best stays in Ireland! Highly recommend

Mold in the shower. Otherwise the room was fine. However, it’s on a busy intersection. The halls smell like old oil and the rooms were very warm. We opened the window for air but then had big noise and light issues. The person who checked us in was pretty hands off. We never saw anyone else. Housekeeping left our door unlatched after cleaning. It was able to be just pushed open when we returned. Fortunately, nothing was disturbed.

The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very good. Our bedroom was small, but okay. However, the bathroom needs attention. Super large, but smelled very strongly of bleach when we first arrived. By the 2nd day, the smell turned kind of musty. If the bathroom could be updated or cleaner, our rating would have been a 4.

The property was unique in that it is above a pub/restaurant. The room was very spacious, but the carpet was obviously stained and needed a good shampoo cleaning. The room itself was clean in every other way. It had all the amenities one would want in a hotel room. Breakfast was not included. We ate at the pub below and had a fantastic breakfast of avocado toast with a poached egg and arugula/rocket. Delicious and healthy. We also had an açaí bowl which was wonderful too, as were the fresh baked scones. This hotel was not in walking distance to downtown Galway which is something to be considered. We Uber’d to downtown where we ate at Monroe’s. They had a great Irish stew and a great roast chicken dish. We recommend both. All the staff was friendly and welcoming in both the hotel and restaurant.

Nice place, staff was nice. It was very hot with no AC, we opened the window however there is a large bright light in the parking lot and if you shut the blind it blocks the only air possible to cool down the room. It’s probably fun e in the colder weather.

Was a lovely stay! Only a few small things, no USB ports, for charging! Unable to change the temperature in the room, but the bonus was there was a portable fan for use! Room was clean and spacious. We did eat on site and the food was terrific, very busy spot but we luckily got a table.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind and considerate. We spent a fair amount of time, enjoying meals and beverages at the restaurant, which was fantastic. What would’ve improved our stay was a matter of temperature and comfort in the actual room. It was hot. Perhaps having a fan or should the hotel install a split unit air conditioner to make for a more comfortable night sleep. The outside area was noisy, and therefore leaving the window open impacted ability for a good night sleep. How compliments to the staff for their thoughtfulness and kindness.

So this is a boutique hotel so be aware that service will be a little different. Overall our experience was good. We were awakened on our last night at 11:30 pm with loud banging doors from the room next door which lasted for 30 minutes. We contacted the manager (no one at the front desk so we had to go to the attached bar) but the banging didn't stop for another 20 minutes. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable. A fan was provided as there was no air conditioning. The fan di it's job and we were comfortable sleeping. The bed was comfortable and the coffee and tea were replaced daily. The coffee pot was dirty on the outside but cleqaned up easily. The attached restaurant had really good food and is accessible from the rooms.

A bit farther outside of Galway center than I expected, but it was within walking distance. Nothing fancy, but the shower was good. The walls were thin though, so we could hear everything in the rooms around us.

IT was truly disappointing. I called to request two bed but only one bed available, could not use the air condition and it was too hot to sleep plus had to share a bed and NO STAFF to greet us, we have to hunt them down in the restaurant then do one to help with our bags. I would not recommend this to anyone and would have liked to talk to someone about a discount while I was there for such a bad experience. Nice little hotel close to Eyre Square. (walkable in 10 minutes). Friendly staff. Great restaurant on site. Staff only on site from 9 am til 6 pm. Public buses run right by the hotel to take you to the action. We used it to go to Salthill. Free parking is nice and convenient and plentiful. Dated and worn in spots (carpet in the stairs is worn). We stayed two nights and housekeeping came in and cleaned during the day ( which we haven’t seen since pre COVID). Restaurant on site where we ate the first night. Shops and other food options close by. Grocery store across the street.

We were awakened on our last night at 11:30 pm with loud banging doors from the room next door which lasted for 30 minutes. We contacted the manager (no one at the front desk so we had to go to the attached bar) but the banging didn't stop for another 20 minutes. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable. A fan was provided as there was no air conditioning. The fan di it's job and we were comfortable sleeping. The bed was comfortable and the coffee and tea were replaced daily. The coffee pot was dirty on the outside but cleqaned up easily. The attached restaurant had really good food and is accessible from the rooms.

Lovely little place for our quick stay in Galway. Location is 15 minute walk from main city center and the restaurant downstairs has great food. Everyone was very kind -Louise at the Front Desk was a standout! The restaurant manager was super sweet, running after my husband to ensure he had plates/silverware for food to take back to our room.

This is a lovely place to stay and nice staff. Restaurant and bar right there. But bar patrons are loud until 11:30 pm and some of the rooms are directly over it (ours was). So that was a bit irritating as we go to sleep early. Easy to walk to town or hop on a bus.

Vu de l'extérieur et d'en face, l'hôtel est plein de charme et plutôt sympathique, mais l'environnement n'est vraiment pas terrible. Par contre le parking est gratuit et ça c'est bien pour aller au centre de Galway à pied en 25 minutes. L'accueil a été très bien. Arrival was a bit chaotic as the reception was in the restaurant as the new reception was still under construction. However it got sorted. Our rooms were ‘ok’ but a bit tired. We could make out if the hotel was more about the restaurant and bar situation or hotel. The hotel faces a big dual carriageway which you definitely don’t see from the website. A few things underwhelmed us and we did voice our opinion and it was listened to and rectified. We were offered a drink at the bar due to the reception still not being finished.

Great little hotel just outside the city centre. Had a good chat with the bartender in the evening, and enjoyed the stay in the comfortable room. No complaints, happy to have free parking out front.

We stayed here for a night and it was super cute! The hotel has an old world charm on the outside but modern twist on the inside. On the bottom floor they have a restaurant/bar. We went for dinner and breakfast and the food was excellent both times! Check in was a breeze, parking was plenty. Area was walkable.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind and considerate. We spent a fair amount of time, enjoying meals and beverages at the restaurant, which was fantastic. What would’ve improved our stay was a matter of temperature and comfort in the actual room. It was hot. Perhaps having a fan or should the hotel install a split unit air conditioner to make for a more comfortable night sleep. The outside area was noisy, and therefore leaving the window open impacted ability for a good night sleep. How compliments to the staff for their thoughtfulness and kindness.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. Bathroom had a separate tub and shower. The room was very quiet. It’s a short walk to the Latin Quarter. We ate at McSwiggan’s our first evening. Very good. We ate dinner one night downstairs in the restaurant. Food was great, service was a bit slow, but we weren’t in a rush.

The property was unique in that it is above a pub/restaurant. The room was very spacious, but the carpet was obviously stained and needed a good shampoo cleaning. The room itself was clean in every other way. It had all the amenities one would want in a hotel room. Breakfast was not included. We ate at the pub below and had a fantastic breakfast of avocado toast with a poached egg and arugula/rocket. Delicious and healthy. We also had an açaí bowl which was wonderful too, as were the fresh baked scones. This hotel was not in walking distance to downtown Galway which is something to be considered. We Uber’d to downtown where we ate at Monroe’s. They had a great Irish stew and a great roast chicken dish. We recommend both. All the staff was friendly and welcoming in both the hotel and restaurant.

This place was great! The staff was very friendly and tried their hardest to accommodate our early arrival. While we waited we ate at the bar since the restaurant was full, it’s a very popular place! The food was wonderful, very fresh and tasty. The bartender was super nice and gave us tips about getting to town, it’s a very easy bus ride. The rooms were large, clean, and had cool, funky layouts. We had two rooms and they were very different so it may depend on what room you get, but we loved both of ours. Highly recommend this place!

We enjoyed the hospitality of the front desk and the restaurant workers. We had several nice breakfasts and a tasty dinner at the hotel restaruant, which seems to bring in locals. Although the Huntsman Inn is a bit of a walk to the Latin Quarter, we enjoyed our walks to and from. If you have a car, the parking lot will be useful.

It was a 20 min walk to city center and also had ample parking for our car. I will note the hotel doesn't have AC, so that could be an issue in the middle of the summer if you're hot natured like I am, but everything else was perfect.

Great room, very clean. Easy to get to city centre, nice location near the water. Plenty of parking if you are driving, but also quite close to public transportation. Excellent restaurant attached to building. Only downside was the 8am work right outside our room every morning, which sounded like pipes being dragged for an hour.
