Stayed at the property two nights as we were travelling with our 2 dogs. The room was fine - clean and comfortable - although the duvet had cigarette burns. The staff were attentive to our needs. The downside is the outside space. The property courtyard needs a paint job and a big clean-up to remove junk, construction waste and old furniture sitting around. It would be a relatively easy fix to make the motel more appealing.

Parking was available on site, very convenient. Bathroom was clean and spacious, lots of storage, seemed like it was newly renovated. Carpet looked a little dirty and a musty smell, portable closet but face of the doors peeling/falling apart. Had a little kitchenette with fridge and microwave, didn't use. Box spring soiled around the sides. visible due to bed spread didn't cover the sides. Reception very friendly and followed up on requests in a timely manner (tv/cable issues). Booked two nights separately asked if we could stay in the same room but is ok if we can't, they accommodated us in the same room; however, we were charged an extra 5.00. Didn't mind paying the 5.00 but thought they could not have charged us, in the spirit of customer service/potential returning customer. The surroundings needed a little more lightening, sort of dark. Overall I would rate it as a 5.5.

Parking is right outside your room. A&W is right beside so easy food. While the outside looks...iffy...the room was immaculate and comfortable, free wifi, Roku TV and spacious washroom. The queen size bed was a dream to sleep in. Nice bonus of minifridge, microwave and coffee maker.

Place was great. Clean and well kept. Check in process was super quick and ample parking. AC in the room was great. Could benefit from a blackout curtain on the east facing windows to help with the rising sun but we would definitely come back.

It was as expected for the price. Some of the towels and bedding were stained or yellowing and the tub was rusty but everything seemed clean and it was fine. We were not expecting much and we were not disappointed. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well, even in the heat wave that was happening at the time. It was a comfortable sleep, if you don't mind things being a bit run down.

Nice spot. The room I had was very clean and comfortable and close to restaurants and downtown. Only problem I had was the wi-fi was on and off on my phone but that could have been due to the weather, Other than that I will be back to stay there on my next trip!!

If you are looking for a bare bones room that isn't too expensive, you would like this motel. However, everything is run down. The chain lock on the door came off as we undid the lock in the morning, the ceiling in the bedroom and bathroom had patches that had been fixed but not repainted, the microwave clock couldn't be reset and it chirped when you passed it to enter the bathroom, there wasn't any kind of ledge in the bathroom to put out your cosmetics, brush, etc., there was only one straight back chair in the room (there were three of us), the lights were old and not very strong, making the room dark, there were only three hangers (and only one had a bottom bar to hang up pants), and the curtains barely covered the windows. The beds were comfortable, though, and there was a mini fridge.

This is a great old school motel conveniently located at close both main theaters in Stratford. It has been renovated and was clean. We noticed we did not have a coffee machine and that was rectified immediately. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for 3 consecutive showers. You'll be provided with a hairblower if needed for security reasons. We would recommend a stay here.

Nice large room, large bathroom. Looks as though the hotel was remodeled since the last time we stayed there. Very good price, conveniently located close to the Festival Theatre and not too far from downtown. Room had a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. My only small complaint is there was no coffee for the coffee maker.

I couldn't open my room door with my key. The door handle wouldn't turn except with great effort which I don't have. The manager did attend to my problem but his solution was to unlock my room up to 30 minutes before I arrived back from my evening activity. He assured me my room and contents would be safe, but still my door was unlocked without my being there.

The room was fantastic. Spacious, clean, beds were comfortable. I like that the room had a nice tv, seating area and a microwave and fridge. I was very pleased with my whole stay except for one thing. After we returned from our show I found the door wide open, which instantly terrified me. When I walked in, one of the workers was in our room getting hangers for another room. I really think this was an unnecessary invasion of my privacy. I had not asked for house keeping so I was not expecting anyone to be in my room. Other than this incident, my stay was very enjoyable.

The motel is older and could maybe use a bit of paint but inside the room was renovated and very clean with good AC, microwave fridge and tv. The owner and staff were very helpful and nice. Check in and out very easy. A very short drive to downtown and a short walk to the mall and other stores and restaurants. Haven't stayed in a motel for years and forgot how nice it is to have windows that open front and back and in the bathroom. Paid a fortune for a room and parking on previous visits to Stratford so I'm very happy to have found something affordable with free parking.

Return to room after long day of hockey around midnight and the heater wasn’t working E-7 it said Didn’t want to wake people just bundled up and went to sleep . Advised them in the morning and they said oh sorry that’s all .

Place needs to be renovated as furniture tired and there was big couch in room and not sure why as beside tv. The condiments for coffee were in a container and not sure what it was. I used Amex to pay and then told after went through that they did not take Amex. I had to go back as person at desk could not do the refund-an inconvenience. The room was clean but curtains tied up and air conditioner old and not clean. Would not recommend this place.

Super friendly gentleman at check in. Room was spacious and clean, lots of drawers, hooks and hanging spaces. Bathroom was large, water pressure in the shower was fantastic, hot water with no wait time. Bed very comfortable. A/c worked very well. Half an hour walk to downtown Stratford, a pleasant walk. A couple of restaurants very close by. We will be back!

Great value! You know what they say about not judging a book by its cover? It applies here. While the exterior is rustic and dated, we were exceedingly pleased with our room, which was incredibly clean and well-appointed. We were in Stratford for a show at the Festival Theatre. This little gem of a motel is a 20 minute walk from there. Perfect if you’re looking for comfort and value. An added shoutout to the very friendly and welcomed Raj the owner. He even allowed us to keep our car in his property until the end of the day we checked out.

The only real "note" I have is that there are no coffee makers in the rooms which would have been fine except that all of the nearby places that I could have just bought a coffee were closed when I left at 7:30am. Otherwise it was great. Big comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower, and the shampoo smelled like Earl Grey Tea. I'll be back.

I had a great stay. The rooms are nicely renovated and the bed was VERY comfortable. My only suggestion is to have a coffee machine in the room:). The room was also reasonable priced and very close to the downtown core.

The room, which was large, was warm and toasty when we arrived. It was very clean and cozy. I was surprised to find no coffee maker, even though coffee cups were sitting on top of the microwave, and no hair dryer in the bathroom (or anywhere else), but perhaps these omissions were due to our visit being during the Stratford Festival's off season. Overall, staying at the Travellers Motel was a very good experience.

We come here every time we visit Stratford!!! Great location, plenty of dining options, close to mall, friendly service. Room very nice with mini fridge, coffee machine, shower/bath combo, air conditioning, beds very comfortable.
