A romantic beauty of and old mansion. Room was decorated nicely. Everything was old and pretty. It was nice to have a downstairs sitting room to rest in. Our room had a smallish bed. Felt more like double than queen. Also because of the age of the place lights were all on one switch, and no plugs by the bed. No tv, but that goes with the romantic escape feel. I didn't know it literally shares a walkway with the castle behind it. If your goal is a tour it couldn't be easier. Sadly only street parking in a residential area. It was hit and miss. We wondered if we could park in the castle parking at night? We didn't just in case. The welcome we got was good, and liked knowing we were allowed to used the whole house. Sitting room, little eating tables, small kitchen. Also we could have signed up for a small breakfast if we wanted to stay in. A nice Victoria get away.

Lovely accommodation. Everything about the place is carefully attended to. Staff, cleanliness, mattress, pillows, linens, breakfast. Beautiful common sitting areas, lovely breakfast room with all around views. We opted for the queen room as it was a simple overnight, early start. One might find this room, and bathroom too small for a longer stay. If this can’t be a single family home it’s wonderful to have it being used like this.

The historic inn is charming and in a great location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the bed was comfy with nice linens and pillows. Parking on the street out front is very convenient. The breakfast is delicious and so reasonably priced. This was our second stay and we consider this our go to accommodation for our stays in Victoria.

It was good that the property posted the details of the internet on the door as I didn't have any data roaming available, otherwise I wasn't able to access the property. Parking is challenging, but there are passes for use once you enter the property. You are also confronted with lots of rules. Like taking off your shoes, but its to protect the floors on the historic building and slippers are provided. Breakfast was a little on the expensive side as an extra i thought and you pre-order your request. comfortable bed and quiet location, a 15 minute walk to eating establishments, but a little distant from the harbour area.
