Inn Bairro Alto BA Sweet

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was cozy and comfortable. They provided us parking options and texted us parking instructions which was incredibly helpful.

Veldig fornøyd. Bra standard til å være B&B, god service, gode senger, helt grei frukost og sentral beliggenhet. Hadde egen leiebil og det er et parkeringshus ca 400 meter fra overnattingstedet.

While this B&B is near a couple of good restaurants and a well stocked Mercado, plus a main street and a street car that takes you to the downtain area of Lisbon, it is a bit difficult to reach if walking with luggage. The hotel does not have an elevator to reach the check in desk nor rooms on upper floors. We were placed in a decent room that was right next to the little dining area so were awakened by people talking in the morning. There also was an incesstantly barking dog in the nearby apartment that awakened us and barked a lot during the day, making napping impossible when we were trying to rest between our treks into downtown Lisboa. The cost for breakfast seems a bit high and food choices appeared a bit below average. Their is a very good and quite reasonable breakfast cafe less than a block from the inn where we ate twice and really enjoyed. The prices were much less than the meager breakfast choices at the inn. The twin beds in our room were wuite narrow and not that comfortable, but were ok for the most part.TV. Bathroom was decent and had plenty of good hot water. Unfortunetly, we heard a lot of the plumbing noises in the walls, which made going to sleep at night a bit difficult. Positives were tge pleasant staff and proximity to a hilly main street that leads to a shopping mall plus an H&M and other well known stores by walking a ways down the hilly street. The inn also is close to a street car (“Bica”) that climbs up and down the steep hill from Bairro Alto.

The place does not have an elevator, so it was really difficult to get my suitcases up and down all of the stairs even into the lobby. They also kept the glass doors closed leading out of the lobby into the building, which I had to squeeze my suitcases through as well multiple times. The breakfast buffet was not good. I would not recommend. The hotel and the surrounding area is a bit smelly. My room and bathroom was very clean, but there is no air-conditioning just a fan.

The entry is extremely small and there is no lift so having a large luggage was difficult. Liked the security of a passcode to enter. Staff was super friendly & helpful. Me room was very small but clean & comfortable.

Our room was great and the staff was very friendly! If you’re staying in the summer just be advised that we didn’t have AC access directly within our room but a fan was provided. The staff was welcoming and willing to hold our luggage until our room was ready. We opted for a private bathroom room which was in a separate building than the lobby. There’s no elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. The room was close enough to the water to walk which was great and lots of food options nearby with a daily market of sorts to shop for clothing and other items.

Overall, a great property nicely located in the Barrio Alto neighborhood. The staff was friendly and accommodating with all our needs. As with all of Lisbon, the street was steep, entering the property was a bit challenging. The clerk helped us with our luggage up the stairs, but this isn't an automatic service, you are on your own unless you ask. This is a lively neighborhood and could be a bit noise late into the night with all the revelers returning home. The room was spacious, but could have used a small desk/chair and a higher table for the coffee machine, it was set on a very low table.

乗ってはいませんがビカのケーブルカー乗り場が近くにあり、朝早い時間に景色と共に見ることができて良かった。部屋については、シャワーが固定式で使いにくかったです。 共用シャワーをチラッと見たところ、こちらの方が使いやすそうな気がしました。 玄関ドアから受付まで数段の階段がありました。 受付の横にウォーターサーバーがあり、お湯を沸かすのと、持ち歩きのお水用に利用しました。夜には無くなっていましたが翌朝は補充されました。 スタッフの方の感じは良かったです。

The bed smelled like BO

Das Personal war sehr nett, Frühstück okay, von der Lage her alles gut zu erreichen. Die Einrichtung hat schon bessere Tage gesehen, alles sehr "minimalistisch". Das eigene Bad war extrem schmutzig und schimmlig. Ich kann die vielen positiven Bewertungen bzgl. Sauberkeit nicht nachvollziehen.

Das Zimmer war gemütlich eingerichtetet und sauber. Wir hatten genug Platz und wir hatten dort alles was wir brauchten. Der Service war sehr bedacht darauf, dass wir einen guten Aufenthalt haben. Was schade war, dass das Zimmer sehr nach modrigem Keller roch.

Great location, big room, handy luggage check. The bathroom had a couple of minor issues (toilet seat wrong size, shower door got stuck as you closed it) but we didn’t raise these as they didn’t impact our stay. Bed was big and comfy, house keeping were great. Surprisingly quiet for the city centre. Couldn’t ask for more.

Really enjoyed my stay except here except for the shower which had a lot of mold. I am allergic to mold and had to purchase allergy medication because I developed hives from the mold. The staff was friendly and the location was great!

L'état de la douche était médiocre. Moisissures, drain bouché et les portes ne fermaient pas bien. Nous avons avisé la réception, mais rien n'a été fait. Il y avait également de la moisissure sur les bouches de ventilation et le tour de la fenêtre. Pas d'air conditionné avec une petite fan dont la propreté laissait à désirer également. Les oreillers et le lit etaient inconfortable. Hôtel très bien situé toutefois et le déjeuner servi est complet.

The location is perfect. We walked a lot to city centre and it is close to the metro/buses, and train stations, and is close to a lot of restaurants too. The internet access worked pretty well. The beds are comfortable. The front desk was super friendly. We were allowed to leave our luggage with them before the check-in time. Thank you!

Pros: We were able to check-in early which was a huge bonus (especially after the walk from the train station and a lot of jet lag) but even if you were unable to check-in early, they allow you to leave your luggage in a locked room until your room is ready. The staff was extremely friendly and even gave us a wine opener since we did not have one. It is also steps from Calcada do Combro - a main street with lots of food options - which was convenient. Cons: The room, doors, bathroom/showers are very small. This wasn’t a huge issue for us since we were out sightseeing and not spending too much time in the room, but I can see how it may be difficult for other people. There’s no AC but they provide a fan and the rooms cool down if you have the windows open (no screens in the windows though). Also a hike from many of the main sights in Lisbon so be prepared for lots of steps and steep hills! They was also a LOT of construction right outside our room (jackhammers from morning to night) so it was very noisy. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Lovely place to stay. Clean, great location and room was really spacious. Only negative is the beds and pillows were not comfortable. We asked for a change of pillow after second night but it didn’t make a difference. Investing in better mattress and pillow would have made this stay perfect.

Staff were lively and very helpful. Very walkable location. Our showerhead was covered in mould and there was a lot of noise from the escape room next door and the road right outside our window. No aircon but this is my fault for not checking, there was a fan in the room though. Overall it was fine and comfortable for a few days. We didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment on that.

Clean and a good value. No air conditioning so watch hot summer days (adequate ventilation and a fan in room). Great location.

Very noisy had to use the fan due to lack of AC Fan is extremely noisy also a lot of street noise and had to leave the windows open again because of the heat Therefore could not sleep

The room was very spacious and had good amenities. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We did have a problem with our keycode not working on new years eve, it was very stressfully to think that we may not access the property until the morning, this was however sorted

Vi kunde checka in i 2 av 3 rum redan 11.30 vilket var tur för vi var helt dränkta av regn. Trevlig personal.

wonderful woman at check in - she even helped me with my heavy luggage and where to find a shop to buy a SIM card. Cute roomy place! Excellent location and could walk to everywhere!

This isn’t your typical hotel stay. There isn’t always someone at the front desk, which can be inconvenient at times. Also, my fiancée was startled by a couple of cockroaches in the bathroom — something that definitely needs attention.

Personalet var meget hjælpsomme. Brandalarmen gik i gang ved en fejl. Det var træls, når personalet var gået hjem. Det tog alligevel noget tid inden de kom og slukkede for alarmen. Der manglende også en aircondition. De havde forsøgt med en ventilator, men uden den store effekt.

Pros: Nice simple and clean property with great location in the heart of Lisbon. Few cons: There is no air conditioning and the air circulation is limited. Disappointments: we took the breakfast option but realized that the breakfast was served starting 8am (all other places we stayed at in Portugal, the breakfastwas at 7am). We had tours and flights for which we had to leave at 730am. They did not want to give us a refund and committed on providing us a packed breakfast. They did that the first day and forgot to pack breakfast for us the second day. Hope they read this and give us a refund.

Front desk person went above and beyond to take care of us whether related to our rooms or making sure we had breakfast food tailored to our liking. A service.

Had an amazing one night stay at this cozy B&B! We got to Lisbon prior to check in and were able leave our luggage for storage at the front. When we returned for check in, they had our luggage waiting for us in our room. The location was walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. At breakfast the staff had taken note it was my birthday and surprised me with a mini champagne bottle which was so sweet and thoughtful. Would book again!

Unterkunft befindet sich in einem beliebten Stadtteil mit Bars & Restaurants. Eine S-Bahn Station der beliebten Strecke #28 ist direkt vor der Haustür.

Great area, near good restaurants etc

Proche de tout aussi bien station de métro à 7min à pieds (allant d’ailleurs directement à l’aéroport en changeant de ligne seulement) et plein de petits resto autour. Proche du centre également et des points de rencontre pour les diverses excursions. Personnel très souriant agréable gentil et de bons conseils. Je recommande

Was here for 3 nights and had a great stay!! Was initially concerned about the outside noise at night but was pleasantly surprised to see that the hotel was conveniently tucked away from all the noise on the main streets with all the nightlife. Everything is still super close and within a very short walking distance (5mins or less) though you have to deal with some hills here and there depending on where you want to go. Would not recommend if you are older and require assistance walking due to hills and small sidewalks. My wife and I (26 & 27) had no issues getting around and walking places. Lots of convenient shops, restaurants and bars all around in walkable distances. The first morning we woke up at the tail end of breakfast as we were jet lagged and the staff was nice enough to make us some fresh eggs since most of the food had been taken! Would definitely stay here again when I return to Lisbon !

Lovely room (206), location good with the famous tram 28 passing just down the road. Lots of shops and restaurants in close proximity and local metro stop Baixe Chiado within easy walking distance.

Lovely, friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent location, away from loud bars but still walking distance to everything you'd want to do in Lisbon. Excellent value for money. Rooms have been modernised in a lovely old building. The bed is actually super comfy which is a rarity in any hotel but one of the most important parts. Only minus was the plumbing sometimes had a foul smell, but it's an old building and it wasn't the whole time.

O hotel é simples, muito limpo, a equipe atende bem, é simpática, e, o café da manhã tem opções saudáveis e variadas.

Ein sehr hübsches einfaches kleines Hotel! Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Bad und alles war so weit okay. Frühstück war für 12 Euro gut. Leider scheint es nur Sonntags Rührei zu geben, aber ansonsten war alles da was man für ein Frühstück braucht. Zum schlafen sind wir allerdings wenig gekommen! Es war nachts so laut außerhalb des Hotels, dass wir nach drei Nächten auf dem Zahnfleisch gegangen sind. Deswegen würde ich dort nicht mehr einchecken.

Hôtel très bien situé proche du tramway ainsi que des commerces et du quartier vivant du Bairro Alto . Accueil parfait aux petits soins pour ses clients, le petit déjeuner est copieux et diversifié (fruits, charcuterie, fromage et bien sûr le gâteau de Lisbonne le pastel de nata). Certaines chambres sont situées dans un autre bâtiment qui se situe à 1mn à pied de l’hôtel et de la réception. La chambre était spacieuse avec des rangements et Tv . Pas de climatisation mais un ventilateur est à disposition dans la chambre . Je n’hésiterai pas à y retourner lors d’un prochain séjour à Lisbonne.

Enkel, men god frokost

Die Lage ist super, der Service war auch sehr gut. Leider ist das Frühstück nicht so besonders gewesen, da die Auswahl sehr gering ist. Kein Huhn, kein Pute, kein Lachs, kein Frisch Käse, wenig Brotauswahl, keine gekochte Eier. Die Tomaten und die Gurken sahen nicht besonders frisch aus.

Alles war gut fussläufig zu erreichen. Die Haltestelle von der Straßenbahn war auch nicht weit weg. Es gibt viele Restaurants und kleine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, einzig das Nachlegen der Speisen wenn etwas alle war, war zähflüssig. Die Damen an der Rezeption waren alle sehr hilfsbereit. Wer allerdings geheingeschränkt ist sollte sie die Unterkunft überlegen, da alles nur durch Treppen erreichbar ist.

Good location, and perfect if you’re looking for a safe, walkable place. It’s nearby plenty of shops and restaurants, as well as bars and nightlife in the evening, and is a block off of a “main” road if you’re concerned about walking backstreets late. Breakfast was diverse and always available on time, and the staff were friendly and receptive; they also spoke English which was great as someone that knows no Portuguese.
