Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Chilliwack East an IHG Hotel

It was great to stay at such a friendly hotel where. We could plug in our car and charge overnight having a full charge for the day ahead. Sun country highway chargers on site but you need to ask for access and key to start your charge.

Evrything was good. We had a bigger vehicle and would have appreciated knowing ahea dof time that the parking lot is not truck friendly.

This is a very small Holiday Inn and so the overall facility is limited. Pool was very small, gym was tiny (and the off-gassing from the equipment was so bad we chose not to use it), and the “suite” isn’t actually a suite with a separate bedroom. Location is immediately beside the highway - our room overlooked it. Parking is shared with a gas station which means you can end up quite far away which is annoying in the rain (there’s underground parking but no direct access from there to the hotel). Breakfast was a plus - good variety. Overall it’s fine if you need a place to stay for the night but I wouldn’t choose it if you’re actually staying in the area.

Breakfast, rooms cleanliness, staff were all incredible. The only thing is the gym was barely a gym. I expected a bit more and the parking outside is terrible. Luckily there is a small underground but only 8 spots in there. Other than that, excellent experience.

Room 113 at this Expedia "Wonderful" rated farce was truly a misfortune. Management lies and the hotel is a shame to the IHG brand. First, the hotel is situated very poorly. You enter via a gas station on a small, narrow lot that has the Holiday Inn and a gas station and a convenience store fighting for parking. Right next to Canada Hwy 1, so road noise all night. Lot smells like a dumpster so the rooms get that ripe smell through the AC. Very limited parking with spaces too tight for even mid-size SUV's and trucks. The beds are hard like they use trampoline springs. Pool area has no hot tub and is maybe 8x5 yds with almost no seating. Just with two small families all the tables and seats are taken and it is painfully loud. Only one Concierge on a long weekend Sat?!? She was great and tried her best but even getting towels for the pool took 10 min of waiting as there was a queue to checkin and just one line. USB power port was damaged and a short circuit hazard. The bathtub faucet actually fell off and slammed next to my young daughter's feet nearly injuring her. I tried to call the front desk but no one was there, so I had to leave an urgent message requesting repair so we can actually shower after hiking. Even after calling the front desk twice I could not get a person or a reply to my voice message. Finally got a call back from Sharma the manager near 11p - no other room or maintenance could be provided. I was told by the manager Sharma to contact the front desk manager

Pool down for cleaning but was a great stay. This was the first night of our trip and the most comfortable. Very clean hotel. Would stay their again.

Lack of parking!

All the amenities were there however did miss the hot tub

This was the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The buffet style breakfast was phenomenal also the fact that there’s a filtered water station was a huge bonus. The rooms are very sound proof. We will stay here for any future trips to the area

This was a wonderful property to stay at. Room was nice and clean. The breakfast was good. The staff was excellent. I would highly recommend it.

Inconvenient poor location in relations to other adjacent properties. Our room 214 had very dirty windows to look through. Very limited parking conditions due to working contractors. Uncomfortable conditions.

We found a bed bug. We found it because it was bitting my husband’s arm. The night staff was amazing and very helpful. The manager however talked over me and called me a lier.

New hotel that smells fresh and is super clean. Spacious and comfortable. Located right off the highway so very convenient but limited access to restaurants or shops by walk. Staff is very helpful and nice. Breakfast choices are varied and appetizing. Not much space adjacent to walk my dog. Very happy with our stay so far.

The air conditioning in the room was quite noisy

The room was very clean and modern. The breakfast had good variety, western omelette was great, good coffee and available 24/7. I could hear the highway noise, but there was ear plugs in the room to use. Double blinds did an effective job keeping the room dark in the early morning. Would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay but because it was so close to the highway it was a little on the noisy side and we were on the side away from the highway.

Hotel is fairly new and very clean. The king bed was comfortable and pillows were great. The pullout sofa in our room was terribly uncomfortable, my son opted to sleep on the couch instead. The extra blanket provided felt like a large towel but when I requested a duvet they brought one right away. Very nice hot breakfast options included. Only other complaint is there’s no bath tubs in the rooms.

If you visit the Fraser Valley as much as we do, you'll appreciate the underground parking as it keeps your ride out of the rain. This is a well appointed, new hotel that simply meets all your needs. If I had any suggestions, it would be to ask for a north facing room to stay away from all the highway noises.

Clean, comfortable, staff were lovely, breakfast was better than anticipated. We had a room at the back of the building and it was quiet and at dusk had a beautiful view of the mountains and could see small planes taking off at the airport. Would definitely stay here again!

It was an excellent room facing the freeway but the traffic did not bother our sleeping. Bed and pillows excellent. Free breakfast was excellent providing decaf coffee for me and my favourite hazelnut creamer. Bathroom was very clean and shiny. Just wish that there was a hot tub.

Very clean and comfortable. Excellent service by Rose at the front desk! Went out of her way to provide me with local park and walking trail for our dogs. Parking a bit limited, but we always found a spot. Great breakfast included.

The service at this property is 5-star. We went for a Wedding in Chilliwack and there are few hotel options; our expectations were pretty low as this is not Vancouver for example. However, every person from Front Office and Managers, to Housekeeping and Food Service were as good or better than the best hotels we've stayed in anywhere in the world. So humble, kind and helpful. Kudos to the leadership team and the recruiting team!

I was incredibly disappointed with the service I received at this hotel. Firstly, I booked this hotel while traveling with my elderly father who suffers from Alzheimer’s and mobility issues. Upon check-in, I was informed that the elevator was not working and that our room was in the fifth floor! I tried to get a ground floor room as my father cannot climb stairs. The “best” they could do was a room in the third floor. I had to literally carry my confused father up and down the stairs along with all of our luggage without even once being offered assistance from the staff. Once a male staff member saw us struggling on the stairs and didn’t offer to help us. Several other guests did offer as they were uncomfortable to witness the situation. When I complained I was offered shallow apologies but no actual benefits or compensation for our extreme inconvenience. This was beyond a doubt the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced at a hotel in the whole world.

Very modern close to freeway and casino

I liked it was right off the highway, super easy to find. Nothing really around it for dinner so we had to drive more into town. Not far.

Great breakfast for an express hotel. Eggs, bacon and sausage every morning, as well as pancakes pastries fruit and yogurt. I was pleasantly surprised.
