A wonderful stay from start to finish. Check-in was quick and easy, with lots of help an information available. Undercover parking available. Thhe room was spacious. Both room and bathroom were clean. There was a small kitchen, fridge, microwave, washer, dryer, lounge. Very comfortable bed and good pillows. Very quiet allowing a great sleep. Great central location in the centre of the City. The Grand Hotel forms part of the complex, as does the Coffee Club and another restaurant/bar. Overall the food and drink options available were very good. Great stay, highly recommended and definitely stay again.

This hotel is about a 17-minute walk to the Heron Island ferry. We had very good meals at the restaurant Oak and Vine and Coffee Club restaurants. The front desk staff were friendly and happy to help with lost luggage, new SIM cards, etc.

Friendly and helpful staff. Great location to walk to the fabulous East Shores waterfront area, multiple cafes and Convention Centre. We didn’t use the available wifi but the Telstra signal in our room was poor. The pool area wasn’t particularly appealing but the water was clean and would no doubt be good as the weather warms up!

Quietest place to stay in Gladstone Main Street. We have stayed in Gladstone multiple times a year for sporting events and stayed in many accomodation and majority very noisy after dark. Oaks was quiet and extremely comfortable and clean. We will be back

Room was satisfactory for what i needed. Cleaners do need to take a closer look around the bathroom. Dust around bottom of toilet bowl, looked like it had been there a while. King bed was a little hard even with the mattress topper. Staff were lovely.

We have been using this hotel many times but the room that was given to us this time had a water leak under the bathroom sink. We then noticed some tiny bugs (looked like spider mites, very small and fast moving) crawling all around the sink. They must have traveled over our bodies to the bed, then to the kitchenette bench top, and to make it worse, we realised after the checkout that they have moved into our cosmetic bags and suitcases!!!! We have complained at the reception upon checking out in the morning but the staff didn’t seem to take it too seriously until we have told them we couldn’t use the bathroom because of the leak and for fear of the bugs. They offered a partial discount but we have decided to make an official complaint to the management. Hopefully they’ll send us an apology and refund the fee.

The executive one bedroom was perfect. Clever design including dishwasher, and although I didn’t use them, the washing machine and dryer are integrated seamlessly into the bathroom. Sliding doors are able to be moved to enclose the bed for more privacy if needed. Spectacular views from the balcony add to the appeal.

Room was very nice.....only problem I had was a beeping every few minutes in the room. I could not trace it....unplugged the microwave, alarm clock, lamps....maybe it was the fridge?. Was annoying whilst trying to sleep. Otherwise a great stay.

our second stay here returning fro a trip on Heron Island. The air con in our room was on the fritz. This was dealt with quickly and required our relocation to a new room. Many thanks Lyn! We had an early flight the next day. The booked cab that was late, was chased up quckly. Many thanks again. The amenities in Oak apartments are always appreciated. We are usually tired, want to have dinner in our room, then collapse. Another comfortable stay!

Great place to stay. Was on 7th floor with a balcony and had a great view. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Very central to restaurants. Breakfast was great at coffee club as well.

Truly awful threadbare and fraying carpets, a drawer held together with gaffer tape and shabby curtains. we were charged AUD 20 (plus a 30 cent credit card processing fee) for a cot with no bedding and left on the floor for us to put up. The icing on the cake was the fact that when we arrived, we were told that there would be no breakfast in the morning as it was a public holiday and the general manager had decided to close the restaurants for 2 days.
