Peach Tree Inn & Suites has a nostalgic cottage feel that I really enjoyed. The grounds make you feel like you've stepped back in time, especially the central courtyard with the vintage lamps. I loved the atmosphere! The room was outdated, which I expected, but it was clean. Unfortunately, the bed was horrible. Every little movement caused it to squeak and creak extremely loudly, and it was not comfortable at all. My biggest issue was the overwhelming smell of mold or mildew in the room. It's hard to believe management wasn't already aware of the moisture problem, considering there was a moisture-absorbing container pushed toward the back of a shelf. There was also a note warning guests not to turn the AC below 70 degrees or it could freeze up. To me, that makes it even more concerning that the room was being rented out in that condition. The smell was so strong that it gave me a terrible headache, and I felt sick the following day. It's a shame because I really loved the charm of this place. I would consider staying again, but only if I could inspect the room beforehand. I would definitely avoid Room 16 unless the moisture/smell issue has been properly addressed.
