Pros: Room was spotlessly clean, bed was comfortable and the en suite bathroom was everything you needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. The common areas looked modern and inviting. Short walking distance to a railway station, buses, supermarkets and some cheap food options. Cons: The rooms are small and basic. The location is not in the medieval heart of Ghent but rather in a working-class area a 20 minute walk from the main tourist sites. But this is, as the name clearly states, a budget hotel and is excellent value for money in an expensive city.

We were met by the smell of feet and dirty socks as we entered the room. The windows in our hotel room could not open and the pillows were smelly as well. Really disgusting. Hotel personal should wash the damn floors before a new guest are arriving.
