Everything was great, but the bed was very uncomfortable. Did not sleep well.

Mary in the front office was SO nice and helpful. Room was nice, except bed was too high for my short legs. View was spectacular. Coming back in June.

I liked the room, it was big like a cottage. It felt private even thought it wasn’t. I would stay here again

So first of all, this place is literally called the Ocean Front Motel. Yes, it is ocean front right on the Seaside board walk. The room that we got was on the first floor and people walking by could just look into your room. The 2nd floor looked like it would be great and we went to the office and asked if we could change rooms, even before we went into our room. The worker asked why we wanted to change rooms and we said because people could just look right into our room. He did everything he could to talk us out of changing rooms even though it was off season and probably less than a quarter of the rooms were occupied. He said everyone walking by is respectful and don't look in your room. People walked by and didn't stare, but definitely took looks as they passed by. He then said it was a $50 upgrade to get a 2nd floor room, even though their hotel page makes no mention of needing an upgrade to stay on the 2nd level. I didn't see any proof of this and I didn't know if he was making it up or not. We originally said fine, we'll pay to move up. Then he said there were no king beds on the 2nd floor. That wasn't a deal breaker, but he just kept on giving us hurdles, so we just said fine, we'll keep the first floor room and we basically kept the curtains closed and didn't get to enjoy the view. Very disappointing.
