Fantastic hotel, especially the very friendly and helpful staff. Stayed in a classic room which was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Note there is noise from bin collection on a Wednesday in the wee hours. Room could have done with better noise insulation. The hotel has a fantastic pool, sauna and steam room. The latter two were pretty basic no essential oils, ice bucket and lack of temp control. Steam room was lacking steam.

Das Hotel würde ich wieder buchen. Liegt in angenehmem und ruhigem Quartier. Tolle Rooftop Bar mit Jacuzzi. Fitnessraum (mit Dusche) und Pool durften wir nach dem Checkout bis zum Abflug nutzen.

Everything about the stay was perfect. From the welcome we received on arriving until our morning departure every detail was perfect. The staff were exceptional and couldn’t be more helpful - we used the Bistro twice for evening meal and the food was excellent in quality and value. We ate in the Aviator bar on the last night and the standard of service and quality was every bit as good. We used the pool and I had a spa treatment with Abigail who was very good. Martina at Guest relations was very helpful and the recommendation and bookings she made for us with Resturants and Buddy Tuk Tuk were just what we wanted. She listened to what we wanted and didn’t hesitate in finding us the right places. Housekeeping kept our room impeccable. Concierge were helpful. Altogether a fabulous stay.

Liked the cleanliness and the roof terrace. Excellent bed and linen. Breakfast poor and service at breakfast slow and miserable. Should have more than one box of tissues in the room (only one in the bathroom). Balcony should be swept and cleaned as seats and floor dirty and dusty.

Foi uma decepção. Esperava hotel padrão 5 estrelas, mas as condições do hotel deixaram muito a desejar. Logo ao chegar, vimos que o hotel estava coberto com tapumes, em reforma na fachada. Na recepção, pediram desculpas e nos deram um voucher para usar no hotel. Nosso quarto era minúsculo, o banheiro tinha piso danificado, e parecia sujo. Não costumo reclamar, mas realmente o serviço nem de longe correspondia ao que paguei. Felizmente no dia seguinte nos deram uma suite reformada, porque reclamamos, o que salvou a viagem. O apartamento não é compatível com o padrão do hotel que se apresenta como 5 estrelas.

Notre séjour a été absolument merveilleux. L’hôtel était fantastique, avec une piscine absolument fabuleuse et un petit-déjeuner délicieux. Le personnel était incroyablement sympathique et courtois. Les chambres étaient très bien équipées et la literie était excellente. Mon mari, qui travaille dans l’hôtellerie et connaît bien les hôtels de ce niveau, a remarqué quelques détails qui nécessitaient une attention particulière. Il a trouvé un objet derrière le fauteuil et a remarqué de la poussière sur le cadre et des traces de calcaire sur la pomme de douche au plafond. Compte tenu du niveau de cet hôtel, nous pensons que ces problèmes devraient être résolus et que les chambres devraient être impeccables.

I've stayed at this property several times and noticed that it's beginning to show signs of needing an update, given that it seems to be increasingly popular with groups in recent years, rather than the sophisticated business or private travelers I've noticed in years past. Housekeeping was not on top of everything, as I had become accustomed to making this stay less enjoyable. Due to construction, the lovely streetfront verandas were not available. But they do still have a wonderful breakfast buffet and bar where staff are topnotch!

All customer facing staff are excellent. Housekeeping is below standard. Every morning at 2AM, city crew empties garbage bins in front of the hotel and it is extremely loud. It is not the hotel's fault, but this is enough to deter guests from coming back!

Great stay in very clean room. Would be a 5 star review if not for both lamps in living area weren’t broken and in need of replacement. Wonderful staff, excellent food at restaurant, and easy parking made the stay a joy. Thank you.

Beautiful hotel located in a fantastic area of Lisbon. Arrived at the hotel the first day of our 14-day Portugal trip, and immediately was greeted by an extremely nice front desk staff who quickly checked us in. The room was very clean with plenty of space, and clearly they have soundproofing the rooms as we heard no noise at night and slept great. Bathroom was excellent with a rain shower and extra large tub. The room service food was delicious. The workout room was well equipped, the pool was warm and clean, and the sauna was incredible after a long day of walking the beautiful city. The staff was extremely accommodating and made us truly feel like we were their most important guest. I highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling to Lisbon, you will not be disappointed.

Alles in allem würden wir die Unterkunft mit fünf Sternen bewerten. Einziger Punkt Abzug bei uns, dass die Einrichtung der Zimmer etwas dunkel ist und vielleicht mal anders gestaltet werden könnte und dass wir ein Zimmer zum Innenhof hatten, wo es nicht möglich war mit offenem Fenster zu schlafen, weil man permanent ein lautes, rauschendes Geräusch gehört hat. Deshalb wäre es cleverer gewesen, ein Zimmer nach vorne rauszunehmen, wo die Aussicht schöner ist und man auch kaum Verkehrsgeräusche hat, da es sich um eine ganz gering frequentierte Einbahnstraße handelt wo quasi kein Verkehr ist.

Stayed 1 night at Porto Bay. We requested a quiet room and were given a room next to lift and by the current building works going on so asked to move which was accommodated and we paid a little extra for a junior suite facing the main road which had a balcony and was quiet. Room was clean, nice bathroom products but overall a little dated. Bed comfy and powerful shower. Good location but on a one way street so taxis struggled to find us. Roof top small with a jacuzzi not pool. Bar closed. Staff friendly and helpful. Overall a pleasant stay.

The area of Avenida da Liberdade is stunning and perfectly situated for exploring the city. From start to finish, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, consistently going above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable stay. Above all, the staff (from reception, breakfast, wellness area to room maids) in this hotel must be praised; they are friendly, attentive and helpful. Our room was large and had everything we would expect from such a hotel. The breakfast buffet was simply great; the food is not only beautifully presented; it is also fresh and delicious. We also really enjoyed the wellness area with the heated pool, dry sauna and steam sauna every day. The hotel is located in a quiet side street at the top of Av. da Liberdade; 2 metro stations each 5 minutes walk away. We can only recommend this PortoBay Liberdade! Many thanks to all the staff!

Excellent breakfast and lovely to sit outside on terrace. Shame there was so much building work going on around hotel as could be quite noisy. Pool is lovely - just en aware it’s not on same level as rooftop jacuzzi and bar. Really nice area just off main shopping street and easy walk into centre for shopping and restaurants. Staff all polite and helpful.
