Overall room was clean and comfortable and the gym was acceptable. Service was generally good. Main suggestions for improvement 1. The room was not properly prepared: there was a clearly opened and used soft drink can in the fridge and the gel, shampoo and conditioner in the shower were already opened (seals broken). This is a hygiene issue for me. 2. When trying to enquire about facilities, the first person could not understand me (my English is very neutral so this was a surprise) but the next person could. I tried to book a tour of Old Delhi and the person tried to suggest a driver without a guide and then the phone got disconnected waiting for her to enquire about this further and she did not get back to me. In the end I booked an excellent tour on the internet 3. On arrival, I knew I was a bit early and in case my room was not ready I just wanted to drop off my luggage so I could head off to attend a meeting. At this point in similar hotels the receptionist would usually arrange the luggage for me or ask someone to take me to the correct place. Instead I had to go somewhere else where there was some confusion until it was understood I could not yet check-in and someone took my bags off me. 4. I ate at the Baluchi restaurant and despite having no starter the main meal of lamb Biryani was far too large a portion and I can eat a lot. The waiter said this is well-known but I feel we should be more responsible about waste.

It is a very well located hotel with excellent staff. The room was large and clean. The breakfast was of good standard. A few points could be attended to: . The room did not have an iron, which we had to ask for (but it was delivered promptly) . We were not given a non-smoking room that we had requested in advance . The gym was small for a hotel of this size, and dominated by a personal trainer. . the swimming pool was without an attendant for quite some time.

Very nice hotel not far from Connaught Place. Beautiful lobby and excellent room. Attentive staff, although checkin and checkout seemed to take a very long time. It looked quite cumbersome. The room was very quiet which was nice. We will stay here again.

For a five star hotel there are defibitely a few things lacking. The hotel itself is starting to feel aged, the room cards kept malfunctioning. We had to reset our cards 6 times on 3 days. The bathroom although big was not the cleanest, showers were rusted. No one informed us that the swimming pool was closed before booking. The drinks even with a very high pricd tag are not the greatest. Overall we did not feel it was good value for money.

Room assigned was nice. However, when we used the shower, it was discovered that the drain was plugged. Water overflowed. It took three calls for assistance. We were given another room which was not as nice. As far as cleanliness, it could do with an improvement. Service overall was poor.

There were Mosquitos and dust when we arrived. upon calling the housekeeping staff we were provided with Good Knight plug ins but still lots of mosquitos. It feels like the property doesnt Air the room at all. plus the insufficient and below par quality washroom kits...Only good thing was the staff behvaior. but for the price customers should get much cleaner and quality washroom kits. Even number of towels were much less.

The room was very well cleaned and every staff was so kind to us. They provided bottled mineral water everyday so that was also very helpful. The morning buffet was amazing! We enjoyed trying out so many Indian/western cuisines. The area around the hotel was quite safe as well. We’ll definitely come back to hotel Lalit when we visit Delhi next time :)

Lalit Delhi does not reflect a 5-star property. I had a bed bug issue in my room. After calling, they send people to look and confirm. The next worst part was the delay in resolution. I asked for a room upgrade, but it took almost 2 hrs for the management to coordinate. After every call, they send a new person asking the same thing. Finally, after going to reception and again explaining the issue, they changed my room. I am thankful that I spotted the bedbug before starting the night, o/w would have risked further infection issues. This is my second time at this property, but they should learn to meet cleanliness requirements and have better customer service. Don't know if I will be going back again :(

We didn‘t get any information about breakfast, where the pool is located, e.g. The furniture in the room is already a bit worn and it looks accordingly. But seems it‘s normal in 5* hotels in New Delhi. WIFI was not working properly from time to time, sometimes a website opens - sometimes not.

I was traveling with my kids, so comfort and prompt service were especially important, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. * The bathroom washbasin in our room was clogged and wouldn't drain, which was very inconvenient throughout our stay. * There was an internet issue with the TV, and despite calling multiple times yesterday, no IT person was sent to fix it. * Breakfast was disappointing and did not meet the quality expected from a hotel of this brand. Horrible experience from the check in to check out. Room wasn't available on time and was told that I can downgrade but would be charged the same if I didn't want to wait. Room that was eventually given wasn't even cleaned properly. Second room for my colleague was not ready in time either and we had to go back in evening to get the keys. Later on the keys wouldn't work so accessing elevators and room was another hassle. Every morning there was a long line up for breakfast as they don't have enough seating area. Room service was also horrible.

We booked three rooms. Which were clean and tidy. On arrival, we spent over 2 hours waiting to to checked in. The front desk told us to wait in the lobby and then forgot about us. The lady simply walked off!! After we checked out, I discovered we had been charged for a bottle of wine as part of room service. This is a complete error since I don’t drink alcohol. I then sent email to the hotel to inquire about the overcharge and received no response. Very disappointing.

Checking in was terrible for all guests, rooms are not ready, they ask guests to sit and wait, I had to argue to get a room after 20 hours of flight and checking in at 10 pm, still they said room is not ready when the normal check in time in 3 pm.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Lalit. The location is perfect - a short walk to Connaught Place and easy access to the metro. The room was spacious and although gowns had to be requested, they came promptly. Breakfasts were excellent. My one criticism would be that the common areas were always rather noisy with loud music. However I do recommend the hotel and would choose to stay their again

Very pleasant experience at our stay. The room was spacious with the separate bathtub in the bath room. The hospitality and the ambience is amazing. We had our dinner at the OKO restaurant was great and the service was amazing. We opted for the room with breakfast which was on the average side with not so much options in my opinion as compared to other 5 star hotels, that was a little downturn for us. I was expecting breakfast to be amazing. Overall, a great experience with the staff who went extra mile to make us feel comfy. Would love to stay again.

Staff at this hotel, from cleaning to management, goes above and beyond in hospitality. - They have a 24/7 buffet restaurant, however it’s paid separately and the buffet operates on a schedule, for other times you have the a la carte menu. The dessert section is amazing and every dish on this restaurant has labels for potential allergies, which allows people with dairy allergies to safely select what to eat. - They also have an Asian restaurant (Oko) where you can have Chinese or Japanese cuisines (including sushi). They also have labels for allergies. - The gym is decent for a hotel gym and pretty clean and quiet. - The area around the hotel (Connaught Place) has shopping options and it’s close to the metro.

We had a great stay for 5 nights at the LaLiT. The breakfast buffet was the best we had our whole trip, beside the chai was a bit watery but still delicious. The stuff was very friendly and helped with any problems we had (communication with driver or organisations). They have a problem with their room cards, we had to renew them every 1-2 days, what was a bit annoying but not a real problem. All in all we had a fantastic stay

Absolutely beautiful hotel inside. Our room was very nice as well. Staff was friendly and helpful. The property felt very safe and every car was checked entering; bags also scanned. What a nice find. previously I stayed at the Shangri-La hotel and I thought that was great until I checked into my room at Lalit. Dollar for Dollar, your buck goes further at the Lalit hotel then at other competitions hotels. The rooms are much larger, the breakfast buffet was good as was the staff. I extended my stay here.

I stayed at The LaLiT New Delhi for a work trip and would consider staying here again. I arrived shortly after midnight (3AM), and check-in began with an up-sell to upgrade to a more expensive room (at a cost), which I politely declined. The process was efficient, but I would have appreciated a brief overview of the hotel's amenities. There was no mention of the pool, spa, or art gallery, so I only discovered some of these facilities later in my stay. The room was comfortable but showed some signs of wear and tear. As this appears to be an older hotel, this wasn't unexpected and didn't significantly affect my stay. The bathroom was very spacious which was great! The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. Room service could be improved. Ordering required multiple phone calls, and my meal arrived colder than expected. While some heat loss is normal with room service, this was more noticeable than usual. A highlight was the pool area, which I used on my final day after checkout. The hotel kindly allowed me to stay until 2 PM after my 12 PM checkout. The pool was well maintained, with plenty of loungers, umbrellas, drinks available, and clean changing/shower facilities. It was only when I went looking for the pool that I discovered the spa facilities and art gallery. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Despite a few service issues, the friendly staff and good facilities made for a pleasant experience.
