The staff here are excellent, the grounds swimming pool and beach are really nice and the dining options, particularly the beacfront restaurants are great. Also we did some really good dives with the on site dive centre so overall a great stay!

Really good amenities. Such as pool, lazy river, spa and the beach itself. Staff - the hard grinders by the pool, in the spa and at the restaurants were lovely. Good enthusiasm and staying positive while working in incredible heat. Restaurants - hit and miss. Only good lunch was the Tanga Beach Restaurant. The Adults only beach restaurant was a very nice meal and good setting for dinner. Buffet was hit and miss - S Square meals weren't great. More often than not at the A La Carte restaurants, you could only pick 4 dishes - it wasn't typical all you can eat all inclusive. Teppanyaki was particularly disappointing. There is a big construction project happening next to the hotel. So, request and seek rooms that are located either in main lobby building / over conference centre looking towards the Pure Lifestyle Adults Only hotel. The rooms have an outdoor corridor to access them - so road noise travels into the room and construction noise travels into the room. Cleaning quality and up keep of property is not 5 star. Doors seem battered, room keeping don't clean the bathrooms thoroughly, just do a basic job. Pool could do with a deep clean in the off season also. Mini Bar wasn't replaced properly a lot of the time. Had to keep asking for specific items, but house keeping struggle to speak English and communicate with guests. Overall - good for budget holiday, but not 5 star. More like a 4 star hotel.

Very clean very nice. Comfortable bed big rooms. They have another hotel across the street. It is amazing for kids and it is very very clean very friendly stuff and you can use the facilities there.

We are a family of 4 with kids 14 and 15. The pool and lazy river we just wonderful. Make sure you book your restaurants as soon as you arrive or in advance if you can. While the main buffet was top notch, it was lovely to eat a different setting most evenings. The staff here are on it, friendly and welcoming. We did a 2 hour deal in the spa as family which was great, you can negotiate with the them. I recommend. Kids were kept fairly busy with boule, volley ball, water polo, gold etc. Not loads off teens here to hang our with. But we knew that. We would defo go back we loved it, really great family time, beautiful room and food.

Beautiful resort! The spa was great. I would recommend. Only complain would be to heat the lazy river pool, it was freezing, colder than the ocean, so it wasn’t as relaxing as it could have been.

This resort was lovely for our little family. Had a great selection of foods, the option to reserve restaurants in the Square, if buffet wasn’t something you wanted. 20m drive away from the marina with lots of restaurants and a short walk to Mina Masjid which was great! A variety of pools! The option to pop next door to Aqua magic, if you wanted water slides and kid friendly pools! This was amazing. The staff were friendly and welcoming upon arrivals giving all the needed informational including free laundry service! All provisions available for a short stay.

Hotel facilities are excellent. We went with 2 teenage boys and there was so much to do - diving, wakeboarding, water polo, beach volley ball etc etc but also a lovely lazy river, gym and spa. Large hotel but laid out in a way that means it feels much smaller around the pool which is lovely. Definitely recommend and would go back.

Overall the Aldau beach hotel was very plesant, although the large pool was sadly not usable during early march. The heated pool was only well suited for children which was a drawback. Other than that the food, rooms and service were amazing and on a definitely on a luxury level. The sorroundings of the hotel can feel unsafe due to shop sellers who aggresively try to persuade you into buying their products. Comments of bystanders might make solo female travellers feel a little unsafe. Altogether the hotel is great,features beautifully decorated gardens and ameneties. But the sorrounding area lacks things to do and can feel dodgy at times. Even though it feels safe by egyptian standards.

The room was spacious and clean but the drainage/sinks in the bathroom were smelly. We had to close to bathroom door to avoid sleeping with the unpleasant odour at night. Being a resort property, they charge the hotel guests for renting the snorkeling equipment, which is quite unusual for resort, especially with the price we paid.

Il a fallu attendre 45’ à 19:00 pour avoir une chambre qui ne correspondait pas à notre réservation. En entrant dans la chambre nous avons trouvé un préservatif utilisé par terre et beaucoup de cheveux dans la salle de bain. Fantastique pour un 5 etoiles

Wir haben hier eine Woche verbracht. Das Hotel sowie die Anlage waren sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das Personal war immer hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Zimmer war super ausgestattet (Bademantel, Föhn, großer TV, Klimaanlage, volle Minibar etc.) und wirklich viel Platz. Die Pools sind ein Traum. Es gibt mehr als genug Liegen und man bekommt auch noch Platz wenn man etwas später in den Tag startet.

Great place to be. Great food and service. Very nice facility. Pool is amazing. Beach needs clean up and expansion. Too much rocks. Requested a beach view and got thrown into a building side view inititally. People smoking everywhere. Uncomfortable. Internet is weak in rooms. Foul smell comes off the AC sometimes. I think AC intake is close to a sewer outlet.

Das Steigenberger Aldau hat meiner Meinung nach überhaupt nichts mit einem 5 Sterne Hotel auf internationalem Niveau zu tun. Insbesondere nicht bei einem Tarif von USD 340 pro Nacht für ein Standartzimmer auf AI Basis. Als Reiseprofi aus der Tourismusindustrie kann ich dies sicherlich objektiv beurteilen. Das Check-in, obwohl wir die einzigen waren, dauerte über 45 Minuten. Bei einem Hotel dieser Kategorie schlichtweg inakzeptabel. Beim beziehen des Zimmers, ein Standardzimmer mit Blick auf die Hotelanfahrt, war der Boden sowie die Möbel sehr verstaubt, sodass wir das Housekeeping kontaktiert hatten, mit der Bitte den Boden zu wischen. Am drauffolgenden Tag war die Zimmerreinigung ebenfalls sehr oberflächlich. Es wurden u. a. gebrauchte bzw. leere Ameneties auf das Waschbecken gelegt. Erst bei Nachfrage am Font Desk wurde das Zimmer gründlich gereinigt. Das Zimmer machte einen abgewohnten Eindruck und eher ungepflegten Eindruck. Die Gartenanlage war weiträumig und machte einen gepflegten Eindruck. Kulinarik: Für ein Hotel mit einer Standardzimmerrate von USD 340 pro Nacht erwarte ich eine qualitativ bessere Gastronomie. Sehr schönes großes Zimmer zum Pool hin. Die Anlage ist sehr weitläufig und super gepflegt. Auch an Menschen mit Handycap wird hier gedacht. Extra reservierte Liegen für sie und gute Möglichkeiten überall mit Rollator oder Rollstuhl hinzukommen.

Normalerweise sind wir nebenan im Pure, wollten aber uns diesmal das Aldau nicht als Pure-Gast anschauen. Untergebracht waren wir in einer neu renovierten Suite, welche mega geräumigt und mehr als up2date war (Smartspiegel, Smart-TV, tolle Ladefunktionen via USB und Co am Esstisch), sehr geräumiger walk-in-Ankleide mit Fönbar! Was will man mehr! Der Balkon war mit Liege und Sitzgelegenheiten ausgestattet und bot einen herrlichen Blick über die Anlage mit Meerblick. Gastronomisch finde ich es gut, dass man 24h im Barbereich nicht nur essen, sondern auch die Getränkekarte hoch- und runter genießen konnte. Die Anlage ist ein Traum!!! Was hier vom Gartenteam jeden Tag mühevoll in Schuss gehalten wird ist schon der Wahnsinn. Auch hier gibt es Getränkeservice am Pool. Generell ist gastrotechnisch alles wunderbar und auf einem unvergleichbarem hohen Niveau. Man kann alles ohne schlhectes Gewissen oder Panik essen und trinken! Der neue Spa ist empfehlenswert. Tolles Ambiente und schöne Anwendungen (unbedingt mal turkish hammam ausprobieren). Das ganze Hotelpersonal ist wirklich erstklassig und beschert einem einen tollen Urlaub! My partner and me had a fantastic holiday at the Steigenberger. We were amazed by how well the property is maintained. We enjoyed daily strolls through the resort, enjoying the gardens, the green surroundings and the peaceful atmosphere. Eventhough the hotel is close to the airport, you will not notice that during your stay. We heard no noice from planes at all. Once we arrived at the property we were amazed by the impressive design and the welcoming atmosphere. The reception welcomed us and have been super friendly and helpful. We were accompanied to our suite - which was our first (and only) disappointment. We booked a superior suite with sea view. However, the suite we were brought to was on the side of the property on the 2nd floor (in Germany we would call it the 1st floor). We couldn't actually see the sea. The bigger problem was the next door construction works that happened day and night. We've spoken to reception and thankfully were moved the next day. A beautiful suite on the 5th floor in the center of the property. Absolutely stunning views. Suite is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The food of the buffet restaurant is well above average and we loved eating there. The speciality restaurants had great food, great service and a great atmosphere. We noticed that the alcoholic beverages included are not that great - are they watered down? Overall we had an absolute amazing time! All employees did an outstanding job and we appreciate all their dedication!

Overall the Aldau beach hotel was very plesant, although the large pool was sadly not usable during early march. The heated pool was only well suited for children which was a drawback. Other than that the food, rooms and service were amazing and on a definitely on a luxury level. The sorroundings of the hotel can feel unsafe due to shop sellers who aggresively try to persuade you into buying their products. Comments of bystanders might make solo female travellers feel a little unsafe. Altogether the hotel is great,features beautifully decorated gardens and ameneties. But the sorrounding area lacks things to do and can feel dodgy at times. Even though it feels safe by egyptian standards.

Amazing property.After they offered a room only with pool view and I paid for Seaview the reception gave us an upgrade very good room with really nice seaview.The cleaning stuff very good.is nice where they advertised that they have to many restaurants but some of them booked 5 days in advance and if you only stayed for 5 days how is that fare.The tempanaki and Egyptian restaurant were nice but the French no great at all. The guy who served the drinks on the beach was not happy with us that I prefer to purchase my drinks from the bar.(why did you go to the bar was his question my answer is why not )They were not nice with my husband about the towel rules.He was there 5 min before 8 am to put our towels for the sunbeds they make him wait 5 min but at the same time a lot of sunbeams were covered with towels around 7:30 am.Rules only for some people but not for all.The amenities were amazing.The golf too.The rooms and the resort were amazing.I don't drink much and I was surprised that I have to get my drink only with dark rum not white.( they what an extra charge ) but one of the managers manage to get me my white rum with no extra charge ( thank you ).Be aware of all inclusive alcohol drinks ( very limited )

I arrived in Hurghada a day earlier than planned. I was not able to modify my reservation to arrive a day early and per the Hotels.com virtual assistant, I was instructed to make a 1 day reservation. I did just that and had my original reservation for 3 days pulled up so I could book the same room so I wouldn't have to move after 1 night. I arrived at the hotel after 10 pm. I checked in and was told that I would have the same room for my entire stay. I was taken to my room. It was nothing at all like I booked and paid for. I went back to the front desk and the guy working started to tell me that for my 1st night that I did not book the better room. Either he just made that up on the spot or he was being very dishonest by putting me into a lower level room at my original chek in. Keep in mind that the amount that I paid for my extra 1st night was higher than the next 3 and on the hotels website that rate is for the better room. He then tried to tell me that he would upgrade me for the 1st night and I could stay in the better room for my entire stay. I stayed at this hotel a year before and booked the same room and I loved my room and located on my original visit. I tried asking the guy at the front desk if I could have a room close to that original room from the previous year and he just kept talking over me and telling me what I like and how much I was going to like the room I was going to stay in. The room is the same but the location is different from my previous stay.

Drinks options on the indoor bars were good although there was a different level of All inclusive which you needed to pay for to be able to access some other cocktails and champagne. Staff were very good around the resort and always helpful however there needs to be more waiters around the pool area as we waited for 20-30 minutes sometimes for our order to come back to us. There was also a building site next door to the hotel which is not their fault, but it was a bit noisy at times and unsightly. Food at the resort was beautiful.

Grande piscine Mais qu’une toute petite partie est chauffée… Navette hôtel aéroport annoncé gratuite mais en fait il faut payer 15 euros par passagers, c’est très cher au vue de la distance.

Das Steigenberger Aldau hat meiner Meinung nach überhaupt nichts mit einem 5 Sterne Hotel auf internationalem Niveau zu tun. Insbesondere nicht bei einem Tarif von USD 340 pro Nacht für ein Standartzimmer auf AI Basis. Als Reiseprofi aus der Tourismusindustrie kann ich dies sicherlich objektiv beurteilen. Das Check-in, obwohl wir die einzigen waren, dauerte über 45 Minuten. Bei einem Hotel dieser Kategorie schlichtweg inakzeptabel. Beim beziehen des Zimmers, ein Standardzimmer mit Blick auf die Hotelanfahrt, war der Boden sowie die Möbel sehr verstaubt, sodass wir das Housekeeping kontaktiert hatten, mit der Bitte den Boden zu wischen. Am drauffolgenden Tag war die Zimmerreinigung ebenfalls sehr oberflächlich. Es wurden u. a. gebrauchte bzw. leere Ameneties auf das Waschbecken gelegt. Erst bei Nachfrage am Font Desk wurde das Zimmer gründlich gereinigt. Das Zimmer machte einen abgewohnten Eindruck und eher ungepflegten Eindruck. Die Gartenanlage war weiträumig und machte einen gepflegten Eindruck. Kulinarik: Für ein Hotel mit einer Standardzimmerrate von USD 340 pro Nacht erwarte ich eine qualitativ bessere Gastronomie. Really good amenities. Such as pool, lazy river, spa and the beach itself. Staff - the hard grinders by the pool, in the spa and at the restaurants were lovely. Good enthusiasm and staying positive while working in incredible heat. Restaurants - hit and miss. Only good lunch was the Tanga Beach Restaurant. The Adults only beach restaurant was a very nice meal and good setting for dinner. Buffet was hit and miss - S Square meals weren't great. More often than not at the A La Carte restaurants, you could only pick 4 dishes - it wasn't typical all you can eat all inclusive. Teppanyaki was particularly disappointing. There is a big construction project happening next to the hotel. So, request and seek rooms that are located either in main lobby building / over conference centre looking towards the Pure Lifestyle Adults Only hotel. The rooms have an outdoor corridor to access them - so road noise travels into the room and construction noise travels into the room. Cleaning quality and up keep of property is not 5 star. Doors seem battered, room keeping don't clean the bathrooms thoroughly, just do a basic job. Pool could do with a deep clean in the off season also. Mini Bar wasn't replaced properly a lot of the time. Had to keep asking for specific items, but house keeping struggle to speak English and communicate with guests. Overall - good for budget holiday, but not 5 star. More like a 4 star hotel.

Drinks options on the indoor bars were good although there was a different level of All inclusive which you needed to pay for to be able to access some other cocktails and champagne. Staff were very good around the resort and always helpful however there needs to be more waiters around the pool area as we waited for 20-30 minutes sometimes for our order to come back to us. There was also a building site next door to the hotel which is not their fault, but it was a bit noisy at times and unsightly. Food at the resort was beautiful.

My partner and me had a fantastic holiday at the Steigenberger. We were amazed by how well the property is maintained. We enjoyed daily strolls through the resort, enjoying the gardens, the green surroundings and the peaceful atmosphere. Eventhough the hotel is close to the airport, you will not notice that during your stay. We heard no noice from planes at all. Once we arrived at the property we were amazed by the impressive design and the welcoming atmosphere. The reception welcomed us and have been super friendly and helpful. We were accompanied to our suite - which was our first (and only) disappointment. We booked a superior suite with sea view. However, the suite we were brought to was on the side of the property on the 2nd floor (in Germany we would call it the 1st floor). We couldn't actually see the sea. The bigger problem was the next door construction works that happened day and night. We've spoken to reception and thankfully were moved the next day. A beautiful suite on the 5th floor in the center of the property. Absolutely stunning views. Suite is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The food of the buffet restaurant is well above average and we loved eating there. The speciality restaurants had great food, great service and a great atmosphere. We noticed that the alcoholic beverages included are not that great - are they watered down? Overall we had an absolute amazing time! All employees did an outstanding job and we appreciate all their dedication!

This resort was lovely for our little family. Had a great selection of foods, the option to reserve restaurants in the Square, if buffet wasn’t something you wanted. 20m drive away from the marina with lots of restaurants and a short walk to Mina Masjid which was great! A variety of pools! The option to pop next door to Aqua magic, if you wanted water slides and kid friendly pools! This was amazing. The staff were friendly and welcoming upon arrivals giving all the needed informational including free laundry service! All provisions available for a short stay.

Overall the Aldau beach hotel was very plesant, although the large pool was sadly not usable during early march. The heated pool was only well suited for children which was a drawback. Other than that the food, rooms and service were amazing and on a definitely on a luxury level. The sorroundings of the hotel can feel unsafe due to shop sellers who aggresively try to persuade you into buying their products. Comments of bystanders might make solo female travellers feel a little unsafe. Altogether the hotel is great,features beautifully decorated gardens and ameneties. But the sorrounding area lacks things to do and can feel dodgy at times. Even though it feels safe by egyptian standards.

Mir hat unser Aufenthalt im Großen und Ganzen gefallen. Positiv: - Sehr sauberes Hotel - Mitarbeiter freundlich (am besten Trinkgeld geben da wenig Einkommen) - Echte Coka Cola/Heineken Markenbier in Dosen rausgegeben oder an der Bad immer zum Ausschank verfügbar - Essen war zu jederzeit und im jedem Restaurant sehr lecker. Auch das Büffet fande ich immer lecker. Selbst nachts bei Ankunft waren im Foyer kleine Snacks Verfügbar - Man fühlt sich auf der Anlage sehr sicher - Zimmer war sehr groß und gute Aussicht Negativ: - Beim essen am Buffet wurden meistens direkt unsere Teller weggeräumt, sowie halbvolle Gläser um Platz zu machen, für neue Gäste. Das Personal geht automatisch davon aus, dass du gegangen bist obwohl wir nur Nachschub vom Buffet geholt haben. Das ist leider mehrfach passiert, das fanden wir ziemlich ärgerlich das halbvolle Gläser jetzt weggeleert wurden. - Sobald man aus dem Hotel geht und die Strasse entlang läuft versucht dich jeder anzulabern weil sie dir irgendwas verkaufen wollen. Had a lovely week at the ALDAU and was blown away by home huge it is. The pool is an absolute beast! A great family spot with lots to do and great service and staff. The food wasn't especially amazing unless you were able to score a reservation to one of the restaurants on site, which was nearly impossible to do, and you could only go once if you could. The buffet was also huge and I suspect the size of it had an impact on the quality of food at times. There was a lot of construction that was happening in the older rooms which made it very loud and noisy in the latter part of the day when you were trying to sit on the deck and relax. The location to the Red Sea was excellent, but the snorkeling trips were very short for the $$. I would definitely go back again, but if just with a couple of people, I would probably chose a smaller resort in the end. AS I found in all of Egypt however, the people and staff were some of the most polite and friendliest that I have met in all of my travels!

Grande piscine Mais qu’une toute petite partie est chauffée… Navette hôtel aéroport annoncé gratuite mais en fait il faut payer 15 euros par passagers, c’est très cher au vue de la distance.

Amazing property.After they offered a room only with pool view and I paid for Seaview the reception gave us an upgrade very good room with really nice seaview.The cleaning stuff very good.is nice where they advertised that they have to many restaurants but some of them booked 5 days in advance and if you only stayed for 5 days how is that fare.The tempanaki and Egyptian restaurant were nice but the French no great at all. The guy who served the drinks on the beach was not happy with us that I prefer to purchase my drinks from the bar.(why did you go to the bar was his question my answer is why not )They were not nice with my husband about the towel rules.He was there 5 min before 8 am to put our towels for the sunbeds they make him wait 5 min but at the same time a lot of sunbeams were covered with towels around 7:30 am.Rules only for some people but not for all.The amenities were amazing.The golf too.The rooms and the resort were amazing.I don't drink much and I was surprised that I have to get my drink only with dark rum not white.( they what an extra charge ) but one of the managers manage to get me my white rum with no extra charge ( thank you ).Be aware of all inclusive alcohol drinks ( very limited )
