Property was very clean and rooms were updated and modern. Reception staff were amazing, friendly, courteous and helpful. Located a two minute walk from a lovely beach area. Gym area and equipment not great but walking along the beach probably a better option anyway. Would recommend this property and definitely go back.

Great big shower and vanity unit was really good. A negative was the street noise overnight in Lake Road. Lack of service lift in our block was a bit strange and inconvenient. Overall an OK one night stay thank you.

Positives: - Rooms very clean - updated bathroom, great size ! - comfy beds. Negatives - noisy outside location, off main road. - thin walls so can hear your neighbours. - damp, mouldy room. - poor ventilation leaving a damp room. Even the sheets on the bed felt damp. Room stunk of damp like a wet dog, was like this last time too but guessed it was a one off, it wasn't. Drunk homeless people smoking dope in the carpark and roming the halls yelling and kicking doors. Never again.

Overall a great Hotel, and perfect for our needs. Gave a 4/5 for cleanliness as the shower grout and ceiling was very mouldy. A nicer selection of tea/coffee would have been an added bonus. Would definitely stay again though.

I’ve stayed at this property many a time and usually it is fantastic - this is the first time it was below par, with major cleanliness issues in the room and problems with the smoke alarm and phone.

Bed was ok. Room fixtures were not clean. Mould on blinds, doors and windows. Room had damp feel and smell. Towelling was damp. Noisy room - could hear other people in the room above. Booked a deluxe spa room and expected it to be clean and shall I say ‘deluxe’. Was not impressed with our stay.

The hotel was in a great location only a ten minute walk from Takapuna. It was close to the main road but we didn’t have a problem with road noise. The room was large, clean and well appointed with a toaster, microwave, kettle and fridge. Also great curtains made it nice and dark at night.

By coincidence, we had the same room as a few weeks ago. On both occasions you feel like you are rolling to the middle of the bed. The beds that are pushed together are hard around the edges especially when you naturally roll to the middle

Reception staff, Shane especially, very welcoming and extremely helpful. Facilities ideal, room appeared fairly newly refurbished, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and a kitchenette that had everthing we needed. Short walk to the lovely beach then a good stretch of the legs to the wonderful beach cafe at tgecopposite end, but well worth it. Good location, we had a room away from the main road and it was very quiet. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

The room was exactly what we needed! I was travelling with my daughter who has Down Syndrome and can get overwhelmed and anxious when travelling. We had a free late check out which really helped! My daughter loved the “spa” bath in our suite. Being close to the beach was awesome!

Next to busy main road so some rooms will be more noisy than others but room 311 was ground floor and although we could hear traffic, it did not disturb us. Room very spacious, shower room too. Useful kitchenette with fridge and microwave. Staff were extremely polite and friendly. Free parking on a first come first served basis. The walk into town is either along the main road or via the beach. Lots of fantastic cafés, restaurants and shops in Takapuna. Would highly recommend.

Welcoming staff with complimentary brownies. No breakfast or dining options and local eateries limited (especially in the evening) unless you are into Asian cuisine Nice clean room, sadly damaged table, lovely bathroom. Good location near beach and shops. Only downside of room,we could hear our neighbour in next room quiye clearly talking on phone until quite late.
