We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place.

Great apartment and the view is to die for , no problem at all with the flat apart from one issue which is the front door to the apartment has no luck. It doesn’t work. The chub doesn’t fit in the key so you can’t lock yourself in, I was staying on my own so this was a problem for me also on the Yale the snip doesn’t work it’s broken. These two issues definitely need fixing for a good night sleep. I ended up putting a chair behind the door. Apart from that would definitely stay again great location great view great apartment will be back hopefully with the door fixed.

Check in was easy, good communications with host. Well equipped, comfortable and spacious apartment with a great view of the bay. Good value for money, especially in the off season. A car is a must as the roads are very, very steep.

Received a text stating that access codes for the property would be provided shortly after 14:00 for check in at 15:00. Phoned at 14:30 and left message. Left 2 subsequent messages with no call back or codes. Emailed at 15:20 having still not received access codes or a call back stating that if codes were not received by 15:30 I would be expecting a refund. At 15:30 left to find another hotel and just as we were about to check in there, the text with codes arrived with an email and a very incincere apology, blaming the problem on a system error. Went back to the property, by this time very cold and entered. The property itself was OK, but it was cold and took a long time to warm up, which was not at all welcoming. Delays enering meant that we missed the limited opportunity to enjoy the nice views.

Lovely flat with a cracking view But...... Internet was lousy which meant the nice smart TV was unusable. Tried getting hold of the management but emails didn't get answered and telephone call centre was a contect centre who couldn't really help and promised a call back which didn't happen.
