Hotel Raffaello - Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

Nice quiet property in a decent location 20-30 minutes walk to most major sights. Staff were very friendly with great restaurant recommendations. Great view from the rooftop bar.

Rooms are clean (most important to me) and fairly large for Europe and beds were comfortable. Only downside was the lift was not working and the hotel is being renovated. 90 stairs when you’ve been walking all day in the 100 degree heat wasn’t fun, but it was manageable (and I’m sure is temporary). The hotel is walkable to the Roma Termini (10ish mins) and so many of the sites are within a 20-30 min walk, but just far enough out of the very heavy tourist area so it’s a little quieter. We only took a taxi 2x. Plenty of restaurants nearby and a small grocery store next door. The only things I wish the hotel had were more common areas for just sitting and relaxing.

I would stay at this place again. The only thing that was inconvenient was the small construction they were doing as well as the elevator is small. Only can fit 4 people max or 2person and 2 suitcases.

The hotel room we were in was recently refurbished and very nice. The hotel staff (especially the restaurant staff) was very welcoming and attentive. The area around the hotel is not that nice looking but (it was expected near the train station) - But it was safe

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Raffaello and definitely would stay there again. The hotel was clean, the rooms were nice, the beds were comfortable, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and the location was good too and we enjoyed the rooftop bar. Highly recommended!

The hotel was very clean and user friendly! The staff was accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable. Their buffet breakfast was delicious! We also enjoyed the rooftop bar. This hotel is so centrally located, you could do the hop on, hop off bus tour with ease. There were two restaurants the were recommended and delicious as well. They were Taverna Urbana and La Mela D'Oro. Both were amazing and within walking distance of the hotel. If your planning on exploring Rome, this is the hotel for you!

Avoid - this property is under renovation, which meant loud drilling from 9am. The lift was not working and although we were told it had only been out of service for two days there are reviews going back to March saying the same. We booked for four nights but left after one. The staff did their best to offer another hotel but the management/owners should not put their front line people in the position of having to defend this property.

Under construction. Only one small elevator for guests, construction workers and service staff to use. Stairs were taped off. After bringing our concerns to the Mgr, she did the right thing by trying to make it right and moved us to another room from the construction. Apart from the hotel, the buildings and streets around hotel seemed dirty with graffiti and garbage. It was just an okay stay and experience in Rome. Loads of construction and tourism around the city.

What can you say about a hotel that places your room for 4 nights directly above construction? From before 8am until the afternoon every day the room was uninhabitable while constant hammering shook the room. Not only that, but the room had clearly been unswept, as there was a single used slipper right under the bed. The location was great and the staff friendly, but s very uncomfortable stay.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Walkable distance to the Coliseum and to the train station. Very clean and comfy rooms.

It was clean, quiet, and staff were very helpful and friendly. Small grocery store only steps away. Metro entrances nearby including main one near train station for easy access to airport and other cities.

Our family stayed in one of their family rooms, with a queen and a twin. Nice size room, good distance between the two beds, so there was a bit of separation, which was nice. Everything was clean and in good working condition. Always lots of staff at the front desk, friendly, helpful, and very multi-lingual. If you only speak English, you'll do fine at this hotel. The breakfast is also great. Simple, but fresh, and the lovely staff will get you a cappuccino (or two). Really good way to start your day. Location is a bit outside of the 'thick of things', which we found nice. Very walkable, particularly close to the Colosseum and Termini station.

The hotel is central and close to local businesses and restaurants, not far from the Colosseum (10 minute walk). Other points of interest are a little further (about 30+ minutes to the Pantheon, for example) but navigable on foot if you enjoy walking. Important to note that the hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the train station. The area is also safe and quiet. It's a little less busy than the bigger touristy areas. There are many nice restaurants/bars/coffee shops in the area. There is a small, well stocked, supermarket next door. As a nice surprise, we were assigned a room that had 2 independent bedrooms in one, separated by a door: one bedroom with a king bed, and the other bedroom with 2 twin beds. Needless to say, we had all the space you can wish for. The room was well maintained, with a traditional decor. Most importantly, it was CLEAN. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were good, thick and plenty; hence we slept great. The bathroom looked to be relatively newly refurbished. It was a little tight- to be expected considering the age of the city and building - but nothing that took away from the overall satisfaction. Yet, the bathroom had all the comforts you need. Air conditioning worked well and was quiet, and we didn't hear much from any guests in the nearby rooms nor from the outside. Street noise, with the windows open, is not bad. The street where the hotel is located is fairly quiet. Best part of the hotel is the staff: genuine, friendly, helpful.

The Hotel was overall great. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to help us whenever they could. It was nice to have breakfast available in the hotel. One day we had to leave very early for a tour before the dining room opened, but they made up sack breakfasts for everyone so we had something to eat before leaving. The hotel is about at 10 minute walk to the major train and subway station in Rome which made it easy for us to get around. The only drawback is the showers are extremely small and not well maintained. The round sliding doors kept falling off the track and you could barely turn around inside the small corner unit. They are aware of the issue and I believe are trying to renovate in the future. I believe Best Western only recently purchased this hotel. All-in-all I would recommend this hotel and would go back again when I'm in Rome.

My husband and I stayed one night. The hotel is nice, but the room a bit outdated for the money we spent. However, it is conveniently situated in walkable distance to many attractions in Rome, close to restaurants.

Pillows are like rocks

We had a 5th floor room with a terrace. The room was very comfortable from the bed to the bathroom. The AC worked great. The terrace doubled our living space and was a nice spot to relax after walking around town all day. Breakfast was delicious and helped us to get a good start. The location while walking distance to Termini was just inside the Monti area and felt safe. There were many small but delicious restaurants around. A grocery store was next door.

Front desk never returned my credit card. I waited in lobby for 20 minutes for a cab during that time my card was never returned. it was early in the morning so maybe we both weren’t thinking straight but i’m not the one working.

Amazing hotel!! The staff is great and the location is really central without the crowd. It’s safe and has everything you need. I would stay here again. I felt very welcomed and it made my Rome experience memorable. Thank you to the staff!

Overall very happy with our stay. Staff on front desk very friendly and helpful. We had an issue where the wardrobe lock failed and this meant for our stay we had to keep the door closed with putting a bag in front of it, that shouldn’t really happen. Other issue was rooftop bar, bar was never busy but still staff member failed to keep up with timely service. On second time of going, there was 3 other people there and after 15 minutes of waiting and not being served we left.

Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in the family room. We were a group of 4 and found the beds, room size, cleanliness, and air conditioning to be top notch. Bakar, the front office manager, was a great ambassador for the hotel, his welcome and hospitality were well appreciated and he went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a quick ten minute walk from termini station and lots of great little dining spots within walking distance, as well. Highly recommend.

Nice, smaller hotel in a nice area of Rome. Restaurants & shops close by. Was able to accommodate early checkin & arrange taxi service for us.

This place was worth the cost, clean, great location to the major sights, walkable from Termini. I did not like how they asked for a high tip at check out. As this was our first stop I thought this was mandatory, as the tax is, it is not. Also bed was a bit hard.

I do prefer to give tips cash to cleaning or anyone else I think deserve extra, but not as an add on to my bill to the hotel. You don’t even know who that goes to? The reception staff, cleaning or managers? Very weird request from a country in Europe where tips are not part of their salary as in the states.

The rooms are comfortable, clean, with all necessary amenities. Breakfast is delicious and very well served. The terrace is a lovely place but the waiter attending it is the worse. Both times I went he never came to take my order, once I had to go into the back of the bar to look for him. And both times I wanted a capresse salad he said they did not have tomatoes. No tomatoes in Italy is hard to believe.

Great location. Coliseum and Forum etc very walkable. Loads of restaurants and shops in area. Easy walk to trains. Great staff.

The hotel is an old building that was classic-looking and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided was delicious and plentiful. And the location is very convenient, walkable to virtually everything in ancient Rome except the Vatican.

THE STAFF WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND POLITE. THE BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD AND HAD MANY OPTIONS. ANUSH WAS OUR WAITER/BAR TENDER ON THE ROOFROP RESTAURANT. HE WAS VERY NICE AND COURTEOUS. THE ROOFTOP AREA WAS VERY NICE AND RELAXING.

Rafaello never disappoints. Convenient to Roma Train Station and also very walkable. The staff always attentive. Now my 3rd time staying here this year. Only thing Ive noticed is the breakfast quality went down but many places around to have la collazione.
