Great location. I had a ground floor room (room 2, I believe), in which the wifi was not strong. There also were some large bugs running around the floor. The housekeeper helped me get them out. Pleasant terrace and restaurant (though I would have appreciated having coffee available earlier than 8:00 am). Nice pool.

This was our second stay here. We were here 2 years ago, also. This place is a reasonably nice hotel that is conveniently located. There were some initial issues with our room, but they rectified them in short order and all was well after that. This is a small and quiet hotel. They have a nice pool and a small restaurant. This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Izamal.

Muy buen hotel para hospedarse en Izamal. La ubicación es excelente y todo bien con la habitación y el servicio. No cuenta con estacionamiento pero en la misma calle hay espacio para dejar el auto.

Beautiful comfortable property in a great location. We relaxed in the pool in the evening and if you walk up the stairs in the back there is a gorgeous view of the convent lit up beautifully.

The hotel is across the street from the convent, not part of it. Some of the pictures make it seem like you are staying in the convent. Our room was comfortable and clean, but small. There were narrowing stairs going to the room, and stairs in the room to go into the bathroom. The bathroom door is very, very short - had to almost bend over to get in. Our door did not lock securely, simply had to turn the knob to the left and bump the door to push it open when locked. The staff said that was the best they could do, but at least they had cameras. Our room was next to the street, so a bit too noisy - I would trade the view for some quiet. The restaurant on-site was amazing. All of the people in the hotel were very kind and welcoming. Bed was comfortable. I would happily return, but opt for an interior room. Enjoy Izamal, it is beautiful and amazing!

Es un hotel muy bonito frente al convento y sobre todo muy buen servicio por parte de sus trabajadores. Me sorprendió la amabilidad que tienen. El hotel esta cerca de todo. Solo cambiaria el exceso de cloracion en la alberca y que no hay estacionamiento, al ser un lugar tan tranquilo sin problema puedes dejar el auto en la calle.
Es un hotel muy bonito frente al convento y sobre todo muy buen servicio por parte de sus trabajadores. Me sorprendió la amabilidad que tienen. El hotel esta cerca de todo. La ubicación es perfecta a solo unos metros del convento. No nos agradó que nuestra habitación estaba cerca de la recepción y era un poco ruidosa. Tuvimos la mala suerte que las sábanas de las dos camas estaban un poco sucias con algunas manchas. El personal amable y el desayuno muy bueno y servicio rápido .

Location was Wonderful! Room a little outdated , bed was hard, but room was clean. Right across the convent which was a plus as well as main plaza with many restaurants.

Todo es lindo, solo que la habitación con balcon afuera ya se esta cayendo la pintura y no se veía bien,debería poner alguna sombrilla porque de día las sillas estan mega calientes, el piso estaba un poco pegajoso y habían algunos cabellos en la cama, todo lo demás muy bien

We had a lovely stay at Rinconada del Convento. The location is perfect for walking around Izamal. The view from the back of the hotel overlooking the convent is gorgeous. The best thing about our room was the shower... great pressure and plenty of hot water. The downside was the steps within the room... a very small step down which is easily forgotten when entering the room and several large steps up to the bathroom. Also the steps leading up to the room are very narrow. But the view and the shower made up for that. We paid a little extra to upgrade to a room with a view and to have a fridge. Our friends who stayed had a standard room and the window was internal and no fridge, but they still loved their shower!

Lo que destaca es la ubicación 100%, si ésta es tu prioridad, será la mejor opción. Viajé sola y me sentí segura. Es tranquilo, y tener en cuenta que es una propiedad antigua, colonial, y mi habitación se sentía algo vieja y fría, vacía, pero limpia, cumplió el objetivo de descansar, pasear, y tener aire acondicionado. Las chicas en recepción muy amables y me apoyaron consiguiendo taxi para tomar el tren Maya. La tarifa fue justa y estoy satisfecha con la experiencia. Muchas gracias.

En general bien el personal amable no obstante muy rigurosos con la hora de salida de la habitación a pesar de ser miembro Golden de Expedia y sobre todo que fue en temporada baja. El restaurante es muy pequeño y hay una sola empleada que no es grosera pero si cortante y no contesta cuando uno le pregunta .

No nos dieron la habitacion hasta las 15 a pesar de que habíamos llegado por la mañana y el hotel estaba vacío. Con lo que apenas pudimos disfrutar del hotel ni de la piscina para descansar. No nos había pasado en ningún otro hotel de México.

Pues lo que no me gustó es que cuando llegue me negaron el servicio puesto que habían sobrevendido las habitaciones no puede pasar esto ya que el servicio de Expedia no creo que venda habitaciones sin tener el cupo no sé qué pasaría ahora no sé si me cobraron o no me cobraron la verdad fue una experiencia muy mala Yaque me quedé sin hospedaje

Great location. I had a ground floor room (room 2, I believe), in which the wifi was not strong. There also were some large bugs running around the floor. The housekeeper helped me get them out. Pleasant terrace and restaurant (though I would have appreciated having coffee available earlier than 8:00 am). Nice pool.

This was our second stay here. We were here 2 years ago, also. This place is a reasonably nice hotel that is conveniently located. There were some initial issues with our room, but they rectified them in short order and all was well after that. This is a small and quiet hotel. They have a nice pool and a small restaurant. This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Izamal.

La ubicación es perfecta a solo unos metros del convento. No nos agradó que nuestra habitación estaba cerca de la recepción y era un poco ruidosa. Tuvimos la mala suerte que las sábanas de las dos camas estaban un poco sucias con algunas manchas. El personal amable y el desayuno muy bueno y servicio rápido .

The hotel is across the street from the convent, not part of it. Some of the pictures make it seem like you are staying in the convent. Our room was comfortable and clean, but small. There were narrowing stairs going to the room, and stairs in the room to go into the bathroom. The bathroom door is very, very short - had to almost bend over to get in. Our door did not lock securely, simply had to turn the knob to the left and bump the door to push it open when locked. The staff said that was the best they could do, but at least they had cameras. Our room was next to the street, so a bit too noisy - I would trade the view for some quiet. The restaurant on-site was amazing. All of the people in the hotel were very kind and welcoming. Bed was comfortable. I would happily return, but opt for an interior room. Enjoy Izamal, it is beautiful and amazing!

En general bien el personal amable no obstante muy rigurosos con la hora de salida de la habitación a pesar de ser miembro Golden de Expedia y sobre todo que fue en temporada baja. El restaurante es muy pequeño y hay una sola empleada que no es grosera pero si cortante y no contesta cuando uno le pregunta .

The property is beautiful and in a perfect location next to all the sites you want to see. The pool area is gorgeous, with beautiful Yucatanian hammocks. However, the rooms are dated and in need of renovation. The amenities simply do not exist. For example, no coffee in the room and no big pot of coffee in the lobbly. No refrigerator either, which would have been nice. Worst of all, the staff was extremely uptight and unhelpful. To the point of being really mean and interfering with our fun. The pool closes at 8 pm which is ridiculous, and we were scolded for being in there after 8, even though we were extremely quiet and considerate of other guests. They took a big deposit for amenities at checkin and were extremely rude and accusatory when we checked out, acting as if we were trying to skip out on paying for a breakfast--which was terrible by the way. Don't eat at the hotel.
