Amazing setting on the water with Kingston and Mts in view.Really nice grounds and most convenient and closest hotel to the airport.The staff were very pleasant but the on-site bartender did not show up so we could not have mixed drinks.. the room was old and dated with strange set up of furniture that was broken and white lampshade with what looked like black mold, also mosquitoes... The AC was very cold which was nice and the pool looked great too..If you must be close to airport this is good option-just for the rates the rooms are broken down and janky- need a some updating.. ( their online pictures of the rooms are deceiving)

Amazing views from top floor. Easy on-site parking. Staff was helpful. First room i got upstairs had a beautiful view, was very clean but the toilet didnt work. So i was moved to a room downstairs. Very old tub, old toilet, tiles need changing, musty as if it wasnt cleaned recently. The a c was nowhere near the bed. The sheets were itchy and the rooms had mosquitoes. I didn't want to ask to be moved again, so i stayed. Came to unwind and get some work done. Didn’t work out. No desk and chair in the room. The lady at the front desk, Tashema, was helpful & brought up a chair for me.

This hotel offers the best view of the wide-open harbor, overlooking downtown Kingston. (There was a renovation taking place at the property when we stayed. The noise was quite intense. The hotel should not rent out the affected rooms during the renovation.)

Helpful staff, the hotel It was under repair all day so there was a lot of noise the wors interneti ever experienced in my life terrible, bathroom smelled funny , the food at lunch time OMG I ordered a curry chicken no flavor. The hot water changes its temperature very quickly you don't even have a proper bath when the water is already cold. For the price of the hotel and not finding even 1 free bottle of water is questionable the pool looked a little cloudy water so when I saw it I went back to my room. When I went to the restaurant I sat down and it took a considerable time before the waitress noticed that I was there waiting to be served it was the same with a couple that arrived after me, the bartender was very friendly

We stayed 2 nights to be close and convenient to the airport for departure. The "salt water" pool was very cloudy and unkept which was disappointing. Also there was construction on the property which was very noisy.

Hotel com quartos espaçosos. Estacionamento amplo. Restaurante com vista bonita para o Porto de Kingston. Só não gostei do café da manhã! Bem ruim. Não é selfie service. O funcionário chega oferecendo algumas opçoes com aquele inglês da Jamaica difícil de entender! Deveriam pensar que estão ao lado de um aeroporto internacional, com pessoas de diversos lugares, e que podem não entender a língua. Ou seja, servir café da manhã estilo buffett, ou pelo menos entregar um cardápio com as opções. Mas achei o café bem fraco!

Room was very nice and clean, restaurant was outstanding - I got snapper Escovitch and shrimp martini. The view is unbeatable in Port Royale. Very calm atmosphere and they will arrange pickup for airport 24/7.

Massive room, really good air con. Bath wasnt very clean. Breakfast was limited and not that great. Pool didnt open at the times it said it would and the sea swimming was not permitted bt the hotel, too much rubbish. Stunning location to eat breakfast though.

I booked this hotel for two family members who were looking to stay somewhere for the night. The room was not cleaned properly. There was used toilet paper (very used roll). There is dust in the air conditioner and the room overall was really stuffy.No cable or room phone. We were really hoping the hotel would have been way better. The staff was super helpful and kind, housekeeping was the issue.

It’s a dirty motel charging hotel prices. It was filthy. No towels, no soap. We had to wait for them to clean towels. The knob on the rust and hole filled shower came right off, the toilet was plugged, there’s bugs all over and overall it’s like a hostel

The property was clean, but outdated rooms. The kingside bed only had two tiny pillows. Toiletries were mismatched. So recommend making sure you bring your own. There wasn’t even handsoap or soap, only shampoo, no conditioner. Overall the stay was ok for what it was, and we would stay there again, given the price of places in Kingston itself. The property has high potential but could definitely use an overhaul, especially to the rooms. But overall clean and the staff were friendly and nice for the most part

Pros: Beautiful grounds. Very friendly, polite and helpful staff. Cons: Room was not very clean. There was no toiletries in my room for 2 days, phone did not work, there should be a fridge in the room, and the soap holder in the bathroom needs to be changed.

The room was large and airy. Good air conditioning. Lots of burned off light bulbs, including in the bathroom. Had to move a floor lamp around to see in the room after dark. Dirty bathtub, dirty sink. Dirty door and dirty light switch plates. Unfriendly service. Coffee machine in room without coffee, coffee filters, spoons or sugar/milk, so unusable. Do not recommend.

Upon arriving, we checked into, and check in was pleasant. However, when we went to the room, we were greeted with cobwebs, dirty floors, counters, bathroom toilet that did not work, and no hot water. We asked for another room, but was told that "there was no guaurantee that those rooms were cleaned." I forgot to mention earlier, that we also had visitor, a centipede that measured about 7 -8 inches, that thing was quick on its feet. I have never seen one that big except on documentaries. In the rooms, because we had a room change the following day, you have two guests, yet you only have one dusty cup and saucer for coffee, coffee, no sugar, no creamer. Our interactions with the kitchen staff during breakfast was superb. However, we ate out for dinner has the dinner menu was very very limited. The second room did have hot water and much nicer than the first but still needed work. I am not a complainer nor do I allow things to bother me, but this one I had to speak up about. I think the management needs to check the rooms after they are cleaned by staff to ensure cleanliness and readiness for guests. I must admit, they are building a newer section on the property. Hopefully things will improve.

The property was ok and not noisy but the bed needs replacement. I fell in a hole on the bed and after investigating the rafters on the bed was all bundled together. I adjusted them and then started to feel the spring in the bed itself.

minimal amenities for the price. TV did not work, no hot water. Noisy party boats and karaoke nearby my room.The rooms have minimal art and look barren. Booking online showed no reservations for the less expensive rooms but when I was on sight there were plenty available. Seems a bit dishonest to get you to book the most expensive larger rooms when I was only one person and even those top of the line rooms were nothing to be proud of.

I know, I've booked the standard room but one might expect the basics to be present. There is no water at the room (bar was closed when I arrived, so no water the first night) no fridge, no chair (brought later on request) Had to fix the shower head to get any water out, had to ask people at the parking lot to open the room door for me since the door handle was broken/ didn't work. Room/bed is not being cleaned/made during the stay. furniture is worn. In the end paid USD 120/night, twice the price of what it was worth.

I only stayed one night but great customer service. The receptionist was great. I had a problem with my room and was moved immediately. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because there was no hot water. Not sure why and I was too exhausted to find out. It’s very close to the airport that’s why I stayed there. I will definitely stay there again if I have an early flight.

I think the price should come down 190.00 a night is too much fir jo tv access nor room service.I like the property they have several places to go.not a dull moment.Quiet cozy however wifi wasnt good if i wouldve known no tv i wouldnt stay as I wanted to relax and watch tv during dn time.However u csn just try stay out n b z until u r tired.i l felt i wouldve gotten dome money back a discount of some kind .i booked thru expedia so so will take it up with them.

There was no hot water to shower and no hand soap for bathroom use. Toilet paper holder poorly adapted and fell out of the ends, so that the toilet paper fell into the garbage can. Loud live entertainment heard all the way in the room while prepping for a night of sleep. Quite a few mosquitos...in and out of the room. Complimentary breakfast was not good at all. TV channels were snowy... had to watch ad interrupted bits on youtube. Would definitely not return. Hotel has potential but needs a lot of TLC

Breathtaking views and fabulously tranquil seems hardly possible its so close the Kingston town and the airport. Fabulously spacious and beautifully decorated room. Staff were very helpful & accommodating.

The lobby staff was very friendly and polite, the dinner chef made my meal to order. I mean it was not on the menu but she made it. The night bartender was fantabulous. The room was nice and clean and smells fresh. The entire atmosphere was great.

Where to begin? For US279, I've had better service for $40. I arrived just before 9pm on a Monday and was informed there was no food available on the property or within walking distance, not even a vending machine. I was told thet, I left about 3/4 of the free breakfast bar was open til 10, but the bartender was cashing out at nine. The lovely pool had a `pool closed' sign on it all the time I was there. The `free shuttle' was a taxi ride (US$50 tip round trip). I'm not sure how one messes up scrambled eggs and sausage, but after waiting almost a half hour when I was the only person in the restaurant, I left about 3/4 of the free breakfast - I tried giving a piece of the sausage to the cat that was begging and it turned its nose up at it. I couldn't take my medications because There wasn't a glass or cup in the room. I couldn't shower because the shower handle came off in my hand... The staff was very polite about explaining that service was basically nonexistent and would remain so. Without competition, the WORST hotel value I have ever received in my 73 years.

Better than expected after reading mixed reviews. Room was spacious and clean. Ryan from reception quickly sorted our query with the air-conditioning and obtained a standard lamp for us as weirdly part of the room didnt have lighting. We had a good lunch on our 1st day, 2nd day my lunch was nothing like the description on the menu. Please note (apparently) the service charge automatically added to the bill does not go to the staff. The included breakfast was very good. We used the swimming pool which was fine and lovely bar area. All the staff were friendly and helpful and special mention to Ryan. We visited Fort Charles and had a very interesting guided tour. Worth visiting if you have the time. Convenient hotel very near the airport.

The check in took long as I do not believe the room was ready since once we got in it the floors were still wet. The property is in a very nice and convenient location and the person at the front desk was helpful, the service at the bar/restaurant, however, totally ruin my evening. First it took over 1.5 hours until I was told one of the items I ordered was no longer available, then it took another hour to get the alternative order. I feel overall the place was understaffed.

Stay away from this place! I’ve stayed in backpackers to luxury hotels all over the world and I reckon this place is across the board the worst! Where to start…..on check in… TV didn’t work, safe didn’t work, no wi-fi. After numerous complaints to staff that couldn’t care less. They came to my room and fixed nothing! This place is falling apart. It’s like an abandoned resort. No one is here! They told me I’d have to wait till tomorrow to change rooms. The next morning I finally “lost it” and abused the staff in front of people checking in. Finally they started organising my new room but still had to wait till 3 pm! 24 hours to get a new room which wasn’t much better. The restaurant was terrible. The first three items on the menu I tried to order they didn’t have! Had to go with a horrible beef burger. Actually sitting outside on the waterfront was pretty nice. However after an hour and multiple requests to the waiter I finally got my change for the meal. I was assuming he was hoping I would forget. Every staff member in this place doesn’t care. Service apart from a couple of people was pathetic. Breakfast was supposed to be 7.30 am. About 8.20 they started getting organised. This place is so bad it’s actually funny! The aircon in the room was like a jet taking off every time it kicked in. The area around here is just a dump. There is nothing here apart from basically a shanty town. Definitely a sketchy drive if done at night but worth it! I was ready to turn around because I felt that there was nothing in this area however was very happy once there. You can easily spend hours just staring at the wildlife that comes dockside. Even at night, I could see fish. The room was clean and spacious. Most of the staff was amazing! There was one bartender however who did just play on his phone and seemed irritated by any questions. The other bartender however more than made up for that. Will gladly return here if in the area.

If you want to have a good time in Jamaica don’t come here. Most of the staff are unprofessional and not the friendliest. We had to wait over two hours for our food. Items were taken from my friends room The safe box didn’t work so I had no where to keep my valuables There was no do not disturb sign to place on the door, so staff could come in whenever ( and never knock)

Lovely location, a great stay to unwind after a hectic holiday. Need to update website to display current food offers etc. Perfect location for the airport with late check out available for a fee. However taxis is very over priced £25 / 4500 JKD for a 10 minute journey.

This hotel is located in a beautiful location by the sea. Loved the views of Kingston & Portmore. Service at the restaurant was extremely slow due to lack of staff I think. The food was not good, we went over to Gloria’s fish restaurant a 5 minute walk (it was good & great value for money). There were no chairs on the patios outside the room which was disappointing. I did ask about this & they were in the process of providing new furniture, which is great. Overall dispute this, I would recommend for a great stopover from/to the airport & for the nearby party cruise mooring.

I only stayed one night but great customer service. The receptionist was great. I had a problem with my room and was moved immediately. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because there was no hot water. Not sure why and I was too exhausted to find out. It’s very close to the airport that’s why I stayed there. I will definitely stay there again if I have an early flight.

Port Royal is an amazing and historic site with stunning views of the Kingston harbor and the surrounding heights. The hotel is beautifully situated and the check in staff charming. The rooms are comfortable, if spartanly appointed. The bar offers a great setting for evening drinks, although the food was a bit disappointing. Thankfully, Gloria's is just around the corner. St. Peter's and the fort area are well worth seeing and one is a quick 15 minutes from the airport. Thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay.

They were very very very slow with the food, often ran out of minor things like coffee. The bed was hard, the safe did not work. The view was amazing though, and the food was too expensive.

This is the only hotel near the Kingston Airport so it is convenient. However, they do not allow food or drink in the rooms and they do not even provide a bottle of water in the room, even though drinking the tap water is not recommended. So you have to get everything at the bar/restaurant, where the food is not very good. They also provide a free breakfast, which is supposed to start at 7:30 AM, but no food shows up until much later, and if they are busy and you are at the end of a long line of people, you might not get any breakfast until 10 AM. Also there is a lot of noise from the bar (music) and from the neighborhood. I have stayed here two times, and one time my shower had no hot water and the curtains did not cover the windows (so I had to dress and undress in the bathroom.)

Ridiculous menu the most embarrassing place to call hotel, this place has lost its value, no fresh towels every night after getting in off the road have to go front desk and beg for towels n wash cloth, and u better not have an appetite as there breakfast is a disgrace with no effort to feed you, this my last time staying here, not sure if it's new management but i can tell you we definitely wont be going back ever it was very disgusting

I enjoyed my experience here! The environment is super cozy. I loved that the dining area and bar had the sea right in front of it! Staff were very pleasant and helpful!! Food was good too!

Room was very nice and clean, restaurant was outstanding - I got snapper Escovitch and shrimp martini. The view is unbeatable in Port Royale. Very calm atmosphere and they will arrange pickup for airport 24/7.

Three star hotel with three star staff and 3 star facilities. I went down for breakfast. Beautiful setting over-looking the Kingston Harbour. No staff in sight - likely in the back. No hot water, tea bags at the drink station, only coffee. No water or juice put out. Not appealing. I left without having anything.

Very friendly staff.Clean room,great place to be , very quiet and a peaceful place to relax.The kids loved the pool side and foor was great.Miss Yvonne made us feel very comfortable and welcoming .She organised breakfast and took care of us during our stay.Thanks to all the staff especially the cleaner ladies. They made sure we had enough towels and ensure that our room was tidy.Thanks again

I really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. Also be aware if you get food from Gloria's est the food onsite you will be charged if you being the food back to the property. The staff is very nice and accommodating!
