We LOVED this property. The pool / lounge area is extraordinary - the pictures don't come close to doing it justice. My kids and I stayed here for 6 nights; the staff is meticulously trained and welcoming. Stevie the concierge was very helpful. Had a few issues with our mini-fridge and maintenance took care of it immediately. Customer service was 10/10 in every element of the word and with every interaction we had. The location is central and really convenient. The gym is the most well-equipped hotel gym I've ever used (and I was a personal trainer for 10 years, so I have high standards for gyms) --- incredible gym. The hotel lobby was comfortable and great to hang out in.

The Hyatt Centric Melbourne is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in. It has a great sense of design In every detail. In every detail Langford's, The rooftop restaurant, is gorgeous and has delicious food. The staff are courteous and kind. As a lap swimmer, I loved the 25 m pool! And this hotel is incredibly convenient for transportation, just a short walk from the sky bus and the the Southern Cross railway station.

The pool and gym area is a hidden gem. We just love taking some time out at the start or finish of a busy day to relax in this gorgeous environment. The staff are friendly and so helpful and we love the theming around special events that are happening in the city.

Great hotel, good location, but be aware, there is no outdoor seating area as shown in the photos. That area is for conference attendees only. The parking is 20 minutes walk away unless you want to pay $60 for valet parking.

The room design was very inconvenient! The toilet barn door would stuck and it would need two people to open it! The door handle was so sharp that we had an injury trying to close the bathroom door the first time! The carpets were also really dirty and full of hair! Overall, it was an average place to stay and the pool was good but I was surprised that the room wasn't super clean, the room was quite basic, and the view was disappointing despite all the advertising. The lack of cleanliness was really disappointing - the sheets weren't changed in three nights, amenities were missing on the first night, it was dusty in the room, all pillow cases weren't not clean, the shower had the drain piece missing when I got in which looked dangerous. Service was friendly and helpful but I am quite disappointed by the hotel in general especially after paying a premium price.

This as my second time staying at the Hyatt Centric. It's very close to Southern Cross Station and trains/trams. The only real fault I could see was that the pool was slightly dirty with sand and paper at its bottom. The staff were lovely. Hopefully I'll be back later in the year.

The Hyatt Centric is more contemporary than I would look at usually. It was reccommended by a family member. !5-20 min walk to Bourke St shops.good size room and as i had a corner room it was at the end of the floor and so very quiet. Surrounded by high rise it didnt feeel very private with curtains open. I would have liked a normal working desk or work chair as the armchair that doubled was too low to work at comfortably for long.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hyatt Centric Melbourne. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and genuine. The rooms are stylish, spacious, and thoughtfully designed — with incredible views of the city and river. The location is unbeatable — an easy walk to Southbank, the laneways, and great shopping. I will never stay here again. The rooms are NOT soundproof at all. They have timber floors so I could hear walking above us, and a chair being moved around. I also heard someone in a nearby room take a shower, and i heard everything toilet flush from that same neighbour. Bathroom has no door. The toilet is in a cubicle but the door does not cover floor to ceiling. Also no extractor fan above the toilet. Instead the extractor fan is above the shower. Unfortunately, you will be in bed and smell your partners poop. What a clever design. Its so dumb! The hallway is also extremely echoey, you hear people walking past and their doors shuting woke me up several times throughout the night. You also hear every train go by (every few mins, non stop) if you are lucky enough to be put on that side of the building. On every level, rooms 1 through 11, from a total 15 rooms, face the train line. So you have > 70% chance of train noise all night long. FUN We also booked 2 rooms and they didnt have the courtesy or common sense to put us in connecting rooms. One of our rooms had a door to the next room so we knew they have connected rooms. Also, after telling them twice that we did NOT want daily cleaning service to enter our rooms, they entered our rooms to clean them. Thats an absolute invasion of privacy! Hands down one of the worst 5 star hotels I have ever stayed in, will NOT recommend. It's a pity I can't give them 0/5 review.

Fantastic hotel in a great location in the CBD, near to the river, and Southern Cross station, handy for the Skybus airport shuttle. Staff couldn't do enough for us (Francisco who checked us in was brilliant), including the bar tenders in the fabulous bar on the 25th floor. The city view room didn't disappoint, with 180 degrees of the city from the dual aspect windows. Excellent all round.

When we firstly entered the room, we found that the table and chair were uncleaned and stained. Also the kettle could not automatically stop after water was boiled. Later we found that some water leak from the kettle and some parts missed. Moreover, one light bulb at ceiling was not working. As we found these near midnight, we cleaned the room and asked them to change the kettle. However, they spent two days to change the light bulb. The staff were helpful except one lady with blonde hair working at night on 21 Feb. When we approached her about the progress of our room problems, she just told carelessly us that all things were fixed. But we found that the lighting problem was still there. She just replied us that the part was not available. Her attitude was not good and we totally accepted her explanation.

One night stay so it was Ok. Check-in was so slow, plenty of staff but only one bothering to serve customers. Room was clean, but really just another standard hotel room, certainly nothing startling. Bed was comfortable. Probably wouldn't return as way better options for a similar pricing.

LOVE - Really love the design of the hotel it's so funky and Modern - Love how clean the place is - the pool and the gym was a cherry on top. Feels like I'm in a resort - Overall the staff is very friendly COULD BE BETTER - The staff in these scenarios, was told that they will send a text when my room is ready. But they didn't provide me an update until I asked the front desk again. - Lack of manners from one of the particular staff. She shouted at us across the room. When she could have walked over to us. - More visible signs of the hotel. It took me a while to locate the hotel

Modern, clean, staff on reception friendly enough, asked about bottled water for the room, told to use the vending machine, no water in the vending machine, night manager couldn’t have cared any less if he tried. Had to walk to 7/11 at 11:30pm. Beds are rock hard too. Over priced

I may have already rated this hotel, but it’s worth repeating. We absolutely loved our stay at the Hyatt Centric — the service was outstanding, and the hotel itself was comfortable, stylish, and exactly what we were looking for. We didn’t opt for the included breakfast, and eco-friendly features weren’t a priority for us, so I didn’t comment on those aspects. What mattered most was the overall experience, and on that front, the Hyatt Centric delivered beautifully. We’ll happily return for another stay. My only wish is that the price could be a little lower — but even so, it was a fantastic experience.

Everything is great except the entrance: the main door of the hotel does not face the street but is next to the back street, and 50 meters away from the main door is the back-supply area of the shops. And the main door is very small and not easy to find. Perhaps an outdoor billboard on the second/third floor would improve the situation.

This hotel is in walking distance from both Flinder St and Spencer St stations. The staff at reception were lovely and really welcoming. The hotel is excellent, very modern and in great condition. Incredibly clean. The only slight downside was slower service at the in-house restaurant but the food and drinks were delicious. Would stay agin.
