It’s a very nice room with a great outside covered patio with chairs overlooking the river. I think $900 Canadian for 2 nights was much too expensive though. Golden isn’t much of a town. Everything looks tired there.

My wife and I stayed here for a week to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. The rooms are spacious and modern, and the porch overlooking the river walk was great - we ate breakfast there every morning as we planned our days. The bathroom's heated floors were a great touch, and the bed was huge and very comfortable. Parking was convenient and we always had a spot waiting for us after we returned from our daily adventures. There are a lot of great restaurants within walking distance, like The Island, Rockwater Grill & Bar, and The Riverhouse Tavern (or "The Riv"). The partnered deli and bakery, Golden Bakery & Deli, was fantastic - we ordered a takeout breakfast from there every day, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The staff at the Rooms at Riveredge were extremely responsive to anything we needed and check-in and checkout were easy and smooth. Highly recommend this place - one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in, and we travel a lot.

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful setting. The room was exceptionally clean on arrival and housekeeping was provided daily. Would definitely recommend Rooms at Riveredge. However, the check-in procedure for this property is rather ambiguous. The confirmation email from Hotels.com stated: There is no front desk at this property. Guests will receive an access code. A virtual front desk provides assistance to guests. Information provided by the property may be translated using automated translation tools. Guests will receive a text message, WhatsApp message, or email 48 hours prior to arrival with check-in instructions. However, we did not receive an access code or any check-in instructions via text, WhatsApp or email. From around 15:30 we had free WIFI at the visitor centre waiting to receive an email or WhatsApp. To use our UK telephones in Canada is very expensive so, at around 16:30, we asked the staff at the visitor centre if they could ring RatR for us. It was during this telephone call that I was advised that someone would be at the property to meet us, which they were. The day after we arrived another couple were wandering around the property wondering how to gain access. The instructions from Hotels.com and the actual procedure to gain access are contradictory. It would be helpful if the instructions on how to gain access on arrival were made clearer.
