Good well located property right on the waterfront. Easy to walk up and down the river and near the river mall. When we were there the service in the Club floor was spotty and the offerings were not great. Otherwise good stay and good selection of food at breakfast downstairs.

I had specially booked a room on the club level because I wanted to use the beautiful club lounge. Unfortunately, this was not available as it was exclusive to the government. There was no information about this in advance, so I booked and paid for something I couldn't use. The sauna area is getting on in years and not in the condition you would expect in a hotel of this class. The relax loungers in the sauna area were the most uncomfortable loungers I have ever lain on. Club lounge and spa were the two main reasons for booking at the hotel, unfortunately unsatisfactory. The massage in the spa area was excellent.

I really like the hotel. It's very clean and has a classy atmosphere. The Pearl Tower is just a 5-minute walk away, and the Shanghai Aquarium is only 2 minutes away. The staff are extremely helpful and polite.

Random lady stand at lift lobby at 1.30am asking me want service. When i report to front desk, they dont seem to be apologetic. Stayed 2 night, first night my room air con not working, sweating whole night while sleeping. Report the next day and the technician confirmed air con malfunction and change my room, again not apologetic at all for causing inconveniences to me.

The hotel is great, however the big flaw, although yes just a TV, is that there is almost zero foreign channels, I know if course we are in China but for such a 5 star hotel there was literally maybe 1 channel of English speaking let alone any other language, I was there in very bad weather and could not go out much, so sorry having no in house entertainment in the room was really bad, come on, it is 5 Star and at least should have Smart TV so one can log onto something else...

Staff were great and couldn't help you enough, room was spacious and comfortable, and hotel was in close proximity to anything or anywhere I needed to go. Only annoying thing was that there was only 2 of 50 channels that catered for English speaking countries.

Soweit Ok. - aber Klimaanlage geht nur im Sommer, obwohl das Zimmer 25Grad hat. Man sollte zumindest die Beschreibung dahingehend anpassen. Hotel heizt sich extrem auf. Keine Fenster zum öffnen. Wird teilweise unerträglich warm im Zimmer. Daher nicht zu empfehlen außer im Sommer wenn die Klimaanlage funktioniert.

First impression of this hotel: Failed. The check in staff is absolutely not friendly not all. You won’t feel like you are welcome at all. The security staff is much friendlier. The room is quite old looking. They need to renovate the hotel. Location: Around 10 plus mins to the train station. There’s not much food option available here.

Excellent property with the exception the air conditioning was not to the standards of a five star property . Changed rooms twice and still not cold in any sense of the word with the heat in Shanghai . The staff very accommodating to me and the breakfast is one of the best I’ve had anywhere with a great selection . Rooms are large and comfortable.

Really enjoyed my stay at Grand Kempinski. Location is convenient yet quiet. Several restaurants, a shopping mall and a subway station are all in walking distance. Staff were professional and friendly. Bellboys were very helpful. Our room has a nice view of the Bund. The only minor thing is that although the bathroom is decently-sized, I couldn't find a good spot for my toiletries. A design flaw I guess. Overall I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again next time I come to Shanghai.

Le service n’est pas au niveau d’un 5 etoiles. Si vous demandez quelque chose on vous envoit ballader…. Besoin d’un taxi? Débrouillez vous… C’est vraiment deconcertant , enervant et décevant. On est sur du tourisme de masse, pas sur de la qualité. Il fait 30 degrés dans les chambre car les miroir des salles de bains chauffent automatiquement en allumant la lumière. La réception nous a dit que c’etait pour faciliter le sechage des chaussettes et sous vetements des clients… aucun commentaire !

非常好的飯店，住行政樓房，CP值非常高！三餐跟下午茶都有提供~房間牙刷跟房卡質感很好，Smart TV也很棒，尤其每天張眼就可以看到東方明珠，且距離二號線跟14號線的陸家嘴地鐵站走路5分鐘，真的很方便！飯店就在江邊~黃昏跟晚上去散步都很棒！

Staff service is gd expecially the one who tidied up our room. She always greets us with a very happy n cheerful smile. The Spanish restaurant is highly recommended cos I have never tried a yummy tapas as gd as this one. The manager n the staff are so nice with courtesy to introduce the food to us. It’s amazing to dine as we have a wonderful night there!
