Renovation - didn’t communicate this until after I booked and paid in full. The gym was closed. There was no working space (I was there on a work trip and needed at least a table in the room or in the lobby. But, the lobby was closed due to Reno). Unusual service. Always lots of receptionists stood behind chatting but slow service. Poor air con. Rooms were made up really late. I left on a Saturday at 9, came back at 530 to freshen up and room still hand not been serviced. One cleaner didn’t even knock on the room and walked in on me naked in the bath, didn’t apologies. Just stared for 3 seconds then shut the door (weird). Uncomfortable bed - probably worst sleep I’ve had in a hotel. I had to open the window due to poor aircon (in Nov!) but the noise of the trams kept me up all night. Room was also very dark, difficult if you want to do makeup. I stayed here about a year ago, I noticed now checking my old booking that I’ve paid almost double I did then, and nothing was open. I usually book a hotel specifically for gym. They didn’t communicate this even on their renovation email they sent after I had booked and paid in full.

Clean room, really good service, the breakfast has a nice variety and healthy options. The food is generally really good. Its good that there is a tram station just outside the hotel. However, the WIFI was very weak from the 5th floor.

Unfortunately, our entire stay was difficult and frustrating as we were continually dealing with issues with our room and things being broken, concerns going unaddressed, and ultimately never having a room that was fully functional. We checked in, and upon arrival, I asked if our preferences to be on a higher floor and away from the elevator were able to be honored. I was told that our room was going to be on the 2nd floor and would be the room closest to the elevator. I asked the person helping us if they could please put us somewhere that would be quieter, as requested when we booked many months ago. They said the hotel was “over booked” and that it would be difficult to find another room. Thankfully they did find another room on the 3rd floor, farther away from the elevator. When we got to our room, it was very warm inside, so we turned on the air conditioner. The air conditioner was not operating and would shut off after a few seconds, making a loud noise. We also realized the WiFi was not working, nor was the refrigerator. We picked up the telephone to call down to the front desk and there was no dial tone and it did not work. We had to go back down to the front desk to ask for help with the broken items in our room. Someone came up and said they “reset” the air conditioner. It continued not to work. Another person came up to look at the phone and confirmed it wasn’t working and said he’d have to come back. These issues persisted

Didn’t try the spa but some raved about it. In general… over priced, under served.. rooms too small and poorly lit while painted black. Couldn’t see anything. Meh…
